Coal Chamber will be touring Mexico and South American in September 2012. Coal Chamber's first ever reunion shows will be happening in late February and early March as part of Australia's Soundwave Festival.

During an interview with Full Metal Jackie Dez had this to say in reagrds to the "return" of Coal Chamber; "Unbelievable. Full circle. I mean, to get those guys back in my life and clean off hard drugs and want[ing] to do shows, it's incredible. The feeling is incredible and the love had been just incredible as well. I woke up at 4:30 the other morning with my phone ringing off the hook and my Twitter, everything going crazy, it's so good to see. After all these years, we haven't played together in 10 years.

We've been going over the setlist and it's been nothing but fun right now. I mean, going back and forth about a setlist with these guys just turns into jokes and hours of e-mails of jokes and we forget what we're doing. So you realize that these guys are a big, big part of my life and I don't even know if I'd be here with DevilDriver for Meegs [guitar] and Mikey drums], so it's good to have them back in my life and getting ready to go do Coal Chamber shows."

In whether or not the two former bassists of Coal Chamber will be returning both Nadja Peulen and Rayna Foss are both have been busy with their own lives and doing various other activities. Dez went on to say that "Rayna was not [asked to be a part of it]. Rayna has been out of the band for a very long time. We did speak to Nadja. She has other things going and it wasn't really in the headspace where we were at as a band.

We found Chela; she's Canadian and she's a bad-ass player. She's been playing for nearly 12 years. She plays five-string and it's going to be good to have her on bass. She grew up with Coal Chamber. She's only 26-27 years old. She knows the songs, and just hearing her on the phone, the excitement [in her voice], that's really what I wanted brought to the table. Where Meegs and Mikey and I am right now, we're really excited so we needed someone that filled that excitement drawer and she did for sure; she's stoked."

Coal Chamber is indeed back and is totally ready to shred it to the max!

I See Stars kick off the New Year with their new headlining tour. The North American trek begins on January 6 in Toledo, OH and will wrap up on January 27 in Dayton, OH. The band will be accompanied by Stick to Your Guns, Memphis May Fire, Our Last Night, and Make Me Famous. Also the much anticipated, new I See Stars full-length album is now officially set for a March 13th release.

"I'm so happy to start 2012 off with our headliner," said vocalist Devin Oliver in a statement. "We will be playing new songs, old songs, cover songs and basically everything else you can think of. We are bringing Stick to Your Guns, our good friends in Our Last Night, Memphis May Fire, and our newest labelmates Make Me Famous. We are doing things on stage we have never done before and making a huge point to meet every single one of you at these shows. Come be a part of the experience!"

California metallers The Human Abstract have broken up and bassist Henry Selva sheds some light on what him and the other members are currently up too.

“Fuck. How can I put this?

It was hard enough answering fan question while I was working for Protest the Hero. Folks, we are not looking for a new vocalist. We are not touring anytime soon. I think it’s only fair you guys know that we’re on “break or hiatus if you will.” I don’t know why we haven’t said anything. I guess it’s because there is always that “maybe if something happens, etc..etc…” Or maybe it’s hard for us to realize the reality of our situation, the bands situation, to finally let go. I’ll be honest when I say the folllowing: Periphery and Never Say Die were our last tours together as a band.

It was amazing experience while it lasted. Dean is going back to USC to further his education. AJ, as you know will always continue writing and teaching. Brett, I am sure has something up his sleeve.

Thank you to everyone who came out to show their love for the band and the music. I’m proud to say that I got to perform and record along side such amazing musicians.

Pierce the Veil have given the following update in regards to their new album,

"Hey yall, Vic here! Just wanted to give you a little update on what we’ve been up to lately…But, before I do that, we just want to thank all of our amazing fans for making our recent “No Guts, No Glory” tour the most incredible tour we’ve ever done!! We can’t thank you enough for waiting hours in the snow and the rain for the shows to start. And we want you to know how much we appreciate all of the fan letters, gifts, snacks, and the occasional bottle of booze haha! You are all legends and we love you to death!

OK, so who’s ready for a new PTV album?!?! Over the summer we locked down a cabin and wrote for a couple months before getting ready to leave for the “No Guts, No Glory” tour. On that tour we set up a small studio in the back lounge of the bus so that we could continue writing on the road, which is something we’ve never attempted, but it actually turned out to be really fun! Writing on tour was awesome because it reminded us everyday why we are doing all of this in the first place. Every time we played a show and every time I read a fan letter, it made us want to write more and more!

We are currently back in our home town of San Diego, California finishing up the songs and trying to pick a producer to record the new stuff. As we’ve said a million times before, our band is all about progressing with each album and pushing ourselves as hard as we can, almost to the point of going completely insane, to make something that we are all proud of. The new songs are a product of years of touring, bits of inspiration from all over the world, and every bit of heart and soul that we posses. Can’t wait for you to hear! So for now, please hang tight and we’ll try and keep you as updated as possible on the progress. Love ya!"
