Seattle-based Christian metallers DEMON HUNTER have finished tracking a brand new album in their hometown. The CD sees the band reuniting with producer Aaron Sprinkle (ANBERLIN, EMERY) and mixer Jason Suecof (ALL THAT REMAINS, TRIVIUM) with a collection of songs emphasizing the band's strongest components: true metal, dark rock and balladry.

Ryan Clark, Tim "Yogi" Watts (drums), Jonathan Dunn (bass) and Patrick Judge (lead guitar) are now joined by their longtime friend Jeremiah Scott (guitar), whose credits as a metal musician (THE SHOWDOWN) and producer (LIVING SACRIFICE) are well established.

"This record is without a doubt our most aggressive," said vocalist and band co-founder Ryan Clark.

"Every DEMON HUNTER record must be a step up from the last. I know that's a goal for every band, but it seldom works that way — especially today, especially in metal. It seems like most bands' prime years are long behind them. I refuse to let that be the case for us,"

"We've been extremely underwhelmed with metal for the last five years or so, and that's been the fuel to create this record. With an extreme over-saturation of false, fleeting, trend-hopping noise in today's metal scene, we had to make something we've been longing to hear. Something truly meaningful and artistic. Something our fans would love and something that will turn the heads of those who have ignored us for the past decade."

The new DEMON HUNTER album is tentatively scheduled for an April release through longtime label home Solid State.

The Long Island-based rock band released five albums, toured the world countless times over, appeared in multiple video games, and made many fans while their formation was in route. But sadly The Sleeping will be going on an indefinite hiatus. The following message has been made by the band in regards to this matter;

"We (The Sleeping) are announcing our "Indefinite Hiatus." We all remain and will remain great friends but the time has come in our lives to explore other aspects as individuals. Chris (Keyboardist) has moved to Colorado. Joe (Drummer) has moved to California while him and Paul (Guitarist) still run their well respected merch company from Paul's new house on Long Island. Salvatore (Bassist) is the proud owner of an amazing bar and a brand new Vegan/Vegetarian eatery in Seaford, NY. I (Douglas) tend bar at Sal's place and I have just recently joined a new band that has become my full-time project.

We would also like to share the fact that we've been a band for about ten years and we have struggled immensely to get to where we have gotten. We accomplished many amazing things and we did it together as a family. We are proud of the mark that The Sleeping has left and we will never forget the amazing times we have had.

Former frontman Steven Juliano of I Am Ghost (RIP) and Requiem for the Dead has been hard at work writing, illustrating, and creating his all new graphic novel "Lover and Kings: Book One" set for a 2012 release.
