Revelry Talks of Upcoming Singles, Playing Live, and More!

Heavy melodic go getters REVELRY has not one but four singles to their name, with a couple of others expected to be released later on, along with an EP out this year too! The band talks about these releases, they have some shows set, with other plans to reach as many people as possible with the likes of social media, playing, and much else.

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

The band originally started about 10 years ago by David Alexander (guitarist) and has gone through multiple versions and phases as most bands do when looking for their sound. Everything changed when Jeff Sage (guitarist/vocals) had joined and the connection between the two was instant. From that point on, we continued as a pop punk band, releasing a couple EPs and some singles with various lineup changes. Things were looking good until Covid-19 had taken over the world and ultimately dismantled the band. A couple years later however, Jeff and David had decided to continue on and look for new members to keep the dream alive. We had found Kailey Shepardson (vocals), Todd Encarnacion (drums) and Brian Kriz (bass), thus evolving the sound of the band. That transition marked our move away from pop punk, into a heavier sound mixed with pop and R&B influenced direction that better reflects who we are now.

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

The band's name originated from a lyric on a Neck Deep song called Can’t Kick Up the Roots.

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

We are a Southern California based band from the Los Angeles area. The music scene is fully alive and well, with countless amounts of bands, venues, and industry people. We would recommend checking out bands like Shadow Moses, Wear Away, and Air Gap.

4. How would you describe your style?

Our sound lives in the space between heavy and melodic. We like to blend gut punching guitar riffs and hard-hitting drums with pop and R&B influenced melodies, hooks, and rhythms. It’s aggressive but emotional, polished but still raw.

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

We have released 4 singles so far (Sweet Tooth feat. Kellin Quinn, Fragile, Love Me Now feat. Myke Terry, and Maneater).

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

Yes, we have a new single out now titled SIN and another single called Poltergeist that is set to be released in April. We also have a double feature EP that will be coming out later on in the year.

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

As of right now we have three shows booked in February and two more in April. We are constantly looking to book shows as well as possibly a mini/full tour in the near future.

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

Our plans are to reach as many new listeners as possible and play as many shows as possible. We all feel like we are living our dream being on stage and seeing the reaction of fans, new and old.

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

We are on all music streaming platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, etc.) as well as a YouTube channel with our music videos. Everything can be found either on our website www.revelryofficial.com and on linktr.ee/revelryca.

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?

We want the listener to finish the song feeling hyped, emotional, and a little unhinged in the best way.
