Lionize Talks of the Blindness to Danger Due to the After Effects of the Nuclear Soul Attack

Funk n' rollers Lionize have released a new album titled "Nuclear Soul", that consists of their single "Blindness to Danger". So now what these material's are out and about, showcasing how much they have matured since their previous release, well they will be going out on tour soon enough, recording even more music and entertain us with their live shows, its hard to wait it out. The band got together to discuss the album, accompanying single and anything else these guys can toss out.

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

We all met in high school and we love playing music - mostly together. It started in about 2004 and we are still rocking and rolling.

2. Whatís the origin of the bandís name?

The bands name was pulled right from the Dictionary, it means to turn into a celebrity.

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

We are from Washington, DC. There is a small and healthy independent scene there. Some of the best bands from the area are Tomato Dodgers, Of Tomorrow, Caustic Casanova, just to name a few. The best band from our hometown is of course, Clutch.

4. How would you describe your style?

Funk-n-Roll.

5. "Blindness To Danger" was picked as a single and video for this album, were there anymore songs to receive this treatment as well? We just put out a video today - Called “Fire in Athena” - it’s on youtube and everywhere else!

6. How would you describe "Nuclear Soul" as a whole?

It’s a music journey set somewhere between the election of donald trump and the not so distant dystopian future. It’s songs about intergalactic pirates, love, heartbreak  and the dim, distant glow of an exploding nuclear war head, as scene from space.

7. Can you give a good enough reasoning as to why people should check out "Nuclear Soul"?

It fucking rules.

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

We are going to tour, record, and entertain the shit out of you live.

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

iTunes, Spotify, IndieMerch, Lionize Music - the whole internet.

10. Do you have anymore shout outs to give?

We love all of you.
