Temple Agents' Ale says the Band wants to Keep doing Albums but Loves the Road and Stage Presents

Rocktars Temple Agents, love the open road, with the audience screaming out their names, singing along to their material, as well as writing and recording their live performances. These guys have just been hard at work, if not playing a show, then writing out all new material, with further plans on playing even more shows, touring, and much more. Frontman vocalist Ale Solar, discusses these shows, the new music, and whatever else these guys have up their sleeves.

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

Ale: I met Fernando back in 2009 where we were working at the time. After a meeting we both had to be in we shared a car ride and we started talking about music, it was there when we found out about each of our "music history” (just a few bands, songwriting and small bar shows, nothing serious really). We wanted to give us ourselves a new chance to try making something good and successful with music and we started writing songs only a few days after that minute. Mat and DNT were Fernando's school mates and then they joined us in Drums and Bass.

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

Ale: The first name of our band was “Agents” since that was our range in the company were Fernando and I were working when we first met, it was a huge international Bank. After we released the first album, an old band from Finland I think send us a sue warning because the name was legally taking by them since the 70’s! We had to change it and Temple Agents was born very naturally for us.

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

Ale: We are based in Santiago, Chile for now. The music scene there is very strong but probably not as in the States, and considering we write in English we have an international focus. In Chile, specially in Santiago (capital) they are many good bands but not many good places to play. We are Country that is very much into Rock, specially classic Rock and they are a lot of good bands, we can recommend “La Mala Senda”, they are a Rock band from Santiago just like us, we are very good friends with this guys and they play a very good hard raw and melodic Rock.

4. How would you describe your style?

Ale: We are a Hard rock band, that’s all I can say about our style really since we have many different influences between the four of us mixing into what we do. We have a lot of power and melody and our live performance is very strong and intense.

5. What can you tell me, about your new album?

Ale: We just released a Live album with songs from our first album and 3 unreleased songs, one is new and the other 2 were recorded in Orlando, USA with our producer Elvis Baskette. Also Kevin Martin from Candlebox joins us in one of our songs in this Live show recorded in Santiago, Chile this past December. We already have enough new ruff songs for our second album and I think we will record it at the end of this year or the first months of 2017.

6. What can fans expect from the new Temple Agent album?

Ale: Much more identity, a lot of strength, melody and strong messages to you all about what we really think, feel and see in this world.

7. What was the writing and recording process like for the album?

Ale: It was awesome, one of our favorite experiences, we had his 30 demos already made since a few months and years in some of them, and our producer Elvis Baskette (Stone Temple Pilots, Alter Bridge, Incubus, Slash) took the best of all and we made this pure strong hard rock album in 5 weeks in his studio in Orlando, USA. Its like we found ourselves as musicians and songwriters during this process and now we are much better than before for sure.

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

Ale: We want to keep doing albums but specially be on the road worldwide if possible, we are in the States now and we will join our friends from Candlebox in their summer tour leg around 13 dates. That's what we love the most, the stage and interaction with the audience, that's when magic happens!! And if we can keep doing this for the rest of our lives then we will be really satisfied.

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

Ale: In our web site www.templeagents.com you can find everything, iTunes, Spotify, Amazon, etc.

10. Why do you think people should check out your new album?

Ale: Because it will be very powerful, strong, with a lot of melody, true lyrics and specially because it will be really honest about what we are, what are we doing and where are we going. We are really into send direct messages thru our lyrics and we want to be heard so we can change just a little bit this world at least and try making it better.
