With their feet firmly planted in over 10 years of multi-format success, Papa Roach's Time For Annihilation...On the Record and On the Road (Released August 31st via Eleven Seven Music) debuted as the #1 Independent Rock, #23 Top 200, #4 Hard Rock and #5 Alternative Album on Billboard's charts.  The New York Post proclaimed "Papa's On Fire" and hailed Time For Annihilation...On The Record and On The Road as one of the "most appealing concept albums of the year."  The album's lead single, "Kick in the Teeth" remained in the Top 10 at the Active Rock radio format for over 4-weeks straight. Ohio's SKELETONWITCH will team up Canada's 3 INCHES OF BLOOD next month for a run through the Midwest and East coast, which will include a stop at New England Metal and Hardcore Festival in Worcester, MA on April 16th. SKELTONWITCH has been off the road, writing their new album, the follow-up to 2009's "Breathing the Fire," since wrapping up dates with JOB FOR A COWBOY in December. 3 INCHES OF BLOOD recently completed a North American tour supporting ELUVEITIE.  SKELETONWITCH have also announced three European festival appearances, in August. Just with a year under their belts Southern Californians Scream The Dream have so far full filled these so called dreams of theirs. By recording, writing, and performing all within a year’s time the band is set to release their EP debut “Dreams To Ashes”. Though they have yet to go out on the road on an “official” tour let alone riding in a touring van or using a trailer to carry all of their equipment the band looks at it a different way. To them music is what keeps them going and it is not something they would ever give up.

Scream The Dream is a hardworking, dedicated, and determined 6 piece set of musicians breaking all of the rules and trends present. They’ve shared the stage with bands such as the Black Veil Brides, Vampires Everywhere!, Get Scared, Modern Day Escape, Jamies Elsewhere, moving quick to create a style they can call their own that will infect your mind and eat out your soul.

1. Can you give our readers a brief history on Scream The Dream with how you came together as a band?

STD:  We started in August 2010 founded by myself, Mio, and Steven. Steven had left his previous band Stick Loves while having a friend named Christian who joined us. Having Corey come in after leaving Annihilate The Throne and Donald came in after leaving IRUNTRAINS!

2. Your debut EP is about to be released. Can you give us a brief on it?

STD:  All of the songs on the EP are just a sample of our style range. From Dreams to Ashes, is our heaviest song while 1:30 AM has more of a poppy tone to it. We wanted to go for a versatile tone but were still very consistent with this EP.

3. Who decided which songs would go onto the EP?

STD:  The whole band had a role in deciding which songs would go onto this CD and which would be recorded it was a collaboration effort.

4. How can Scream The Dream fans get the EP?

STD:  We have them at shows and anyone can feel free to contact us on Facebook and we’ll mail them out. It will soon become available to purchase online.

5. You have yet to be signed to a record label have you had any offers?

STD: We have yet to receive any offers from any labels but we're sure the time will come soon enough if we keep working at it.


6. How were you able to play alongside the Black Veil Brides? Are you a fan of their music?

STD: Though we had to sell quite a few tickets, M Productions has been quite generous with the shows they let us book and they have given us shows we will never forget. Mio and I are both fans of Black Veil Brides' music.

7. What CD's have you been listening to this week?

STD: I personally listen to a lot of Trivium, As I Lay Dying, Escape The Fate, A Smile From The Trenches, but my favorite right now is Get Scared's Cheap Tricks and Theatrics EP.

8. If you weren't a musician what would you be?

STD: I can't even imagine not being a musician. My entire life literally revolves around my music.

9. What's the best and worst thing about being a musician?

STD: The best thing I would say is seeing a crowd full of people just going crazy over songs I wrote. The worst part is definitely the fact that I'm basically in charge of the band. It can get stressful.

10. A young fan comes up to you and tells you your music has moved them and they want to become a musician like you. What advice would you give them?

STD: I'd tell them to always move forward with no hesitation.

11. What's the band's favorite song to play live?

STD: Our favorite song to play live is definitely Marching Mannequin.

12. How about shows is Scream The Dream set to head out on the road or not yet?

STD: For now we are just sticking to southern California, but who knows if the opportunity presents itself we will without a doubt go for it.

13. When it does come to playing shows how does the band go from one show to the next?

STD: We just book shows as they come or pick out ones we like and try and hop on. As far as transportation we usually drive a couple trucks. No van or trailer haha.

14. Does your family support you all being musicians?

STD: All of our families support us. My parents and Mio’s dad are at almost every single show and doing what they can to help us out.

15. Your fans have been asking about merchandise and when will it become available to purchase. So what is the date and where can fans pick up some gear?

STD: We are shooting for May, but it could be sooner, later, you'll just have to stay posted for now.

16. Where do you see Scream The Dream three years from now?

STD: It’s hard to say. We will for sure be touring and hopefully have a few nice endorsements or even a label time will only tell.

17. If you could scream the dream what would it be and why?

STD: We Scream The Dream every time we get up on that stage. We leave it up to each individual person to determine what our songs mean to them.

18. Do you have anything to say to our readers?

STD: We do what we can to give as much as we can to our fans and we would really appreciate if you went and voted for us to play this year’s Van’s Warped Tour in Pomona at www.battleofthebands.com.

Three years have passed since we last heard from Finnish metallers Children Of Bodom, the Blooddrunk tour had just ended so they had begun recording their new album "Relentless Reckless Forever", their seventh album to date. Alexi Laiho says that "We worked super hard on this album, at least for me it was pretty much no sleep or rest for six weeks," going on to add that "We were determined to make the best COB album ever, so we were willing to do whatever it took. Of course, having our producer Matt Hyde kicking our asses 24/7 definitely made the results even better, so obviously we're more than anxious to get this album out there".

With that said their first single “Was It Worth It?” it's considered the band's "party song" according to Laiho and it's not your typical Bodom sound which makes it that more unique and heavy as hell. "Pussyfoot Miss Suicide", is foretold as a depressive black humor method while "Ugly", is all about venting and screaming your guts right onto the blood splattered floor. The lyrical context used is humorous yet darkens it with an aggressive twist. Keyboardist Janne Warman layer technique is infused with the ferocious drum patterns and Laiho's trademark vocal tactics. Now when it comes to “Shovel Knockout” and "Roundtrip to Hell and Back", these collide with one another each portraying that classic Bodom style sense while adding an additional formula of intensity that builds the music up infusing it with faster riffs that keeps it constantly flowing.

The album full fills all of the band's trademark uses progressive riffs with constant solo structure having it as one of Bodom's better releases falling underneath the lines of "Hatebreeder" and "Follow the Reaper", this goes without saying that you should not “fear the reaper” but welcome him with open arms.

Southern California's IN THIS MOMENT will headline Revolver magazine's "Hottest Chicks In Hard Rock: Hell Hath No Fury" tour with with support from STRAIGHT LINE STITCH, SYSTEM DIVIDE and SISTER SIN. The trek will kick off on April 22 in Santa Ana, California, and will run through May 15. During the tour, IN THIS MOMENT frontwoman Maria Brink will film exclusive video blogs for Revolver and will interview each of the other frontwomen on the package. IN THIS MOMENT and Century Media Records will donate a percentage of all CD sales on this tour to the Keep A Breast Foundation, who will also launch exclusive charity auctions during the tour.

Brink is excited about the band's first headlining tour of 2011. "It is always an honor to work with Revolver, and we are excited to support a worthwhile charity in Keep A Breast Foundation by donating a percent of all CD sales on this tour to the charity," she says. "Most of all, we are excited to get back on the road and see all of you! Come out to a show and rock out with us!"

Los Angeles has quite the scene when it comes locally that is.... Female-fronted quartet Clandestine has banned together the elements of rock, metal, pop, electronica, and the sounds of the underground to format a unique sense of style that is refreshingly original.

"Fearless", portrays that sense of knowing what to expect. Clandestine’s ability builds as each song progresses. It's solid ground being so crisp yet so clear that it's an excellent opener to what lays ahead. “Disappear in You", is much heavier as front women June channels screaming and clean singing styles going down the lines of sounding clean as Morgan Lander of Kittie, while crackling the screaming ethics of Flyleaf's Lacey Mosley.  "Silent Sin", "Pretend", and "Dead to the World", all contain their own source of material of catchy hook drawn rock while keeping you at the edge of your seats.

The title track happens to be the longest track offered on this album. In which it showcases what this band is capable of doing as far as building a solid piece. It's slow yet industrial sense invades into the mix while the vocals return to the way they were used on "Fearless". This album progresses its style sense on a solid ground that Clandestine can find themselves walking on for as long as they see fit.

Tonight is the night for rock n’ roll! Five-time Tony Award nominee rocktacular ROCK OF AGES has made its triumphant return to the city where it all started…. Los Angeles! Constantine Maroulis reprises his acclaimed performance as Drew. Which earned him a Tony nomination for being the Best Actor in a Musical is indeed saying something. As such, ROCK OF AGES is the night to rock out and let loose not having a care in the world.

With that said, this musical is set in 1987 on the infamous Sunset Strip in Hollywood where a small town girl meets a big city dreamer in L.A.’s most legendary rock club in town. The two fall in love with the greatest hits of the ’80’s. Filled with humor, wit, and your feel good love story is all the basic necessities needed for a solid hit musical. The characters themselves on the other hand are goofy and time consuming from time to time taking their portrayal to a whole another level making their bit that more enjoyable. Like leading man Constantine’s character Drew he’s a laid back guy with a down to earth attitude with a dream on wanting to make it big while his co-star Rebecca portraying Sherrie is a loveable easy going gal that isn’t sure on where she sees herself until she meets Drew. Narration is brought on by Patrick’s character Lonny who’s your goofy out of place modern rocker just wanting to get a laugh out ya. Besides that it’s brought bands such as Journey, Styx, REO Speedwagon, Pat Benatar, Whitesnake and many more just to make this era come to life.

Leading producers Matthew Waver and Carl Levin were enthusiastic about returning to the city where it all got started stating that “Opening at the Pantages, L.A.’s premiere venue for touring Broadway musicals, is pretty heavy stuff for everyone involved with ROCK OF AGES”. Levin adds, “This little-show-that-could has travelled about thousands of miles to make the five-block journey from King King to the Pantages!”
King King is the Hollywood Boulevard nightclub where the very first incarnation of ROCK OF AGES opened in July 2005. After playing about four shows over the past two days the show was moved to Warner Brother’s soundstage in Los Angeles performing in August 2005. Come January 2006 the show made its premiere at The Vanguard where it played for six weeks. Later on down the line the musical had made its way to the big apple itself New York making the rest of it history.
Joining Mr. Maroulis is MiG Ayesa as Stacee Jaxx, Nick Cordero as Dennis, Rebecca Faulkenberry as Sherrie, Patrick Lewallen as Lonny, Teresa Stanley as Justice, Casey Tuma as Regina, Bret Tuomi as Hertz and Travis Walker as Franz. Rounding off the cast includes Angela Brydon, Joey Calveri, Lindsay Janisse, Sean Jenness, Holly Laurent, Lauralyn McClelland, Rashad Naylor, Josh Sassanella, Erika Shaoon, and Michael Zygo.

Director nominee Kristin Hanggi has outdone herself yet again when it comes to this production of a real rock n’ roll musical. There aren’t any other musicals out there that could even compare when it comes this. ROCK OF AGES is what rock n’ roll is all about.

The San Diego brutal death metal squad known as PATHOLOGY is proud to announce that they will have their first European tour opening for OBITUARY and GRAVE this Spring. Currently midway through their successful North American tour opening for DEICIDE, Pathology has been performing for enormous crowds while backing some of the biggest names in metal.

“The new lineup is getting along great and we’re killing it onstage, so I’m very happy with things currently,” explains drummer Dave Astor. “2011 is looking like a great year for Pathology.”

And things have only gotten sweeter with the confirmation for the band’s first trip to Europe as part of the European Chainsaw Massacre Tour alongside the legendary OBITUARY and GRAVE. The European Chainsaw Massacre begins March 24th in Ludwigsburg, Germany and comes to a close on April 30th at Holland’s Neurotic Deathfest.

“We’re very thrilled to be touring with Obituary and Grave in Europe. Both bands are a big influence and a cornerstone of death metal,” states Dave. “We couldn’t have picked a better roster for our first time in Europe. We’re very excited.”
