Formed in April 2024 on the southern shores of Cyprus, Ka'aper blends dark and melodic metal, drawing inspiration from ancient Egyptian mythology. With crushing riffs, atmospheric arrangements, and haunting melodies, their music takes listeners on a journey into the depths of antiquity. The band—Evgeny Pcheliakov (vocals), Timur Glushan (guitar), Igor Kurzin (bass), and Alexey Boychuk (drums)—delivers intense and evocative soundscapes. Their debut album is set for release in 2025. Embracing darkness, Ka'aper invites fans to scream, feel, and face their fears.

Norwegian Black Metal band Northern Krig released their new album "Worship Files For Anthropophagolagnia Predators". The album was recorded and mixed at "Icelandic Fire Records" by Jan Reichel. Mastered at "Totenklang Studios".

Northern Krig is a Norwegian black metal band formed in Oslo in 2021 by Morfran, Erik Lund, Mikkel Stein, and Jonar Gunnarson following the end of "Skyrsdag". After their 2022 demo EP "Myrk Blóðfórn", the lineup evolved to Morfran (vocals, guitar), Miasma (bass, guitar), and Maikon Q. (drums). With releases including a split and the debut album "Concept Of A Suicidal Journey", they deliver uncompromising raw aggression on Worship Files For Anthropophagolagnia Predators.

Heavy melodic go getters REVELRY has not one but four singles to their name, with a couple of others expected to be released later on, along with an EP out this year too! The band talks about these releases, they have some shows set, with other plans to reach as many people as possible with the likes of social media, playing, and much else.

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

The band originally started about 10 years ago by David Alexander (guitarist) and has gone through multiple versions and phases as most bands do when looking for their sound. Everything changed when Jeff Sage (guitarist/vocals) had joined and the connection between the two was instant. From that point on, we continued as a pop punk band, releasing a couple EPs and some singles with various lineup changes. Things were looking good until Covid-19 had taken over the world and ultimately dismantled the band. A couple years later however, Jeff and David had decided to continue on and look for new members to keep the dream alive. We had found Kailey Shepardson (vocals), Todd Encarnacion (drums) and Brian Kriz (bass), thus evolving the sound of the band. That transition marked our move away from pop punk, into a heavier sound mixed with pop and R&B influenced direction that better reflects who we are now.

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

The band's name originated from a lyric on a Neck Deep song called Can’t Kick Up the Roots.

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

We are a Southern California based band from the Los Angeles area. The music scene is fully alive and well, with countless amounts of bands, venues, and industry people. We would recommend checking out bands like Shadow Moses, Wear Away, and Air Gap.

4. How would you describe your style?

Our sound lives in the space between heavy and melodic. We like to blend gut punching guitar riffs and hard-hitting drums with pop and R&B influenced melodies, hooks, and rhythms. It’s aggressive but emotional, polished but still raw.

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

We have released 4 singles so far (Sweet Tooth feat. Kellin Quinn, Fragile, Love Me Now feat. Myke Terry, and Maneater).

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

Yes, we have a new single out now titled SIN and another single called Poltergeist that is set to be released in April. We also have a double feature EP that will be coming out later on in the year.

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

As of right now we have three shows booked in February and two more in April. We are constantly looking to book shows as well as possibly a mini/full tour in the near future.

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

Our plans are to reach as many new listeners as possible and play as many shows as possible. We all feel like we are living our dream being on stage and seeing the reaction of fans, new and old.

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

We are on all music streaming platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, etc.) as well as a YouTube channel with our music videos. Everything can be found either on our website www.revelryofficial.com and on linktr.ee/revelryca.

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?

We want the listener to finish the song feeling hyped, emotional, and a little unhinged in the best way.

Fresh off her historic win at the 2026 GRAMMY Awards, singer-songwriter EJAE (KPop Demon Hunters) has released her new song “Time After Time,” via Universal Records. “Time After Time” is an infectious heartbreak anthem with lyrics that reflect on a relationship that still lingers, capturing the all-too-familiar cycle of thinking about a former lover long after the relationship has run its course.

"Time After Time" demonstrates EJAE's evolution as a solo pop artist, moving beyond her storied work in K-pop to showcase her distinctive voice and generational songwriting abilities. The track captures her signature ability to create melodies that resonate globally while maintaining authentic emotional depth. Speaking about writing the song, EJAE said “The melody of ‘Time After Time’ was stuck in my head for years, just like the person I wrote it about.”

The track arrives after EJAE made history at the 2026 GRAMMY Awards when her breakout global hit “Golden” from the film KPop Demon Hunters won Best Song Written for Visual Media, becoming the first K-pop song to ever win a GRAMMY. The song previously won a Golden Globe and Critics’ Choice Award, and is nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Song.

“Time After Time” is now available to stream on all platforms HERE.

Austin, Texas-based blackened speed metal unit SADISTIC FORCE are proud to unleash their new music video for the title track of their recently released EP, 'Morbid Odyssey.' The new video, shot and edited by David Coloma, is premiering via Decibel Magazine.

On the video for "Morbid Odyssey," SADISTIC FORCE shares:

"We spent two plus weeks ripping blackened speed metal across the Midwest with Graveripper, and this video is what crawled out of that run. Each night, Steve from Graveripper stormed the stage with this life-size, eye-glowing, smoke-belching skull and spine bong prop, and the room instantly lost its mind. No buildup, no warning—just pure road madness. He was literally the dude on the cover of our recent EP come to life. Smoke ’em remains."

Oikoumen is a human-centered orchestral progressive symphonic project. It shares visceral emotions, often dark, always committed, through intense, embodied music, where the orchestra serves emotion. The project is led by Élie Veux on composition and guitar, Laura Mazard on lyrics, vocals and artistic direction, and Yaël Febvray on bass and synthesizers. The first album "Dystopia" was released in 2022, marking the true beginning of the project.

French band already released a music video for a song "Reign of Idiocy" from their upcoming album, which is scheduled for release on April 17, 2026.

Music for upcoming album was recorded, mix & mastered by Julien Prost. New single is available for listening at all popular streaming platforms (link here). Below you can watch video to the new song which was filmed at Cité du Cinéma in Saint-Denis near Paris.

This is how Laura comments new song: "Reign of Idiocy is a symphonic metal song about school bullying, seen through the eyes of the victim with a powerful and violent intensity we tried to capture with grandiose orchestras, energetic riffs, and vocals deployed like a tear-stained scream".

ATREYU return with “Ego Death,” a bruising but cathartic new track that digs into the idea of shedding who you were to become who you’re meant to be. Built on crushing riffs, a surging groove, and a massive, melodic hook, the song balances the band’s heaviest instincts with one of their most emotionally resonant choruses to date. As the band puts it, “Sometimes a piece of you has to die in order for you to truly live. 'Ego Death' is peace.” The single arrives alongside a music video for "Ego Death" found HERE.

Their distinctive style has continued to shock and captivate heavy music audiences both in Japan and worldwide. In 2025, BBTS performed on the main stage at Resurrection Fest in Spain and at Japan Expo in France as part of their 9-date European tour across 7 countries.

Beyond the stage, Broken by the Scream are already hard at work on new material, with fresh music currently in development. While details remain under wraps, fans can expect new songs that continue to push the band's aggressive, genre-defying sound even further.

Black metal's most influential and legacy-defining entity emerges once again with their seventh studio offering, Liturgy of Death.

With this release, Mayhem reaffirm why they remain one of the most relentless pillars of extreme music. After more than four decades shaping the genre's evolution, the band now turns its creative gaze toward the inescapable presence of mortality.

Liturgy of Death explores the philosophy of mortality with stark, uncompromising clarity. The album presents death not as an ending, but as a universal law that touches all life and exposes the fragility of human existence. This impermanence becomes a call to live with full intensity, for every gain and loss ultimately falls back into the same silence. Echoing ancient philosophies, the album portrays life as a transitional state and death as a gateway to a higher form of being, while the solemn, dark beauty of death permeates the entire work.

Attila comments on the new track, "'Realm of Endless Misery' is the fourth single from the new Mayhem album and presents a state of human existence in which suffering is not an exception but a governing principle. The song portrays human life as a closed realm sustained by repetition, fear, and manipulation, where time itself becomes a mental trap and hope slowly drains from consciousness. It does not tell a story and offers no redemption. Through its mantra-like structure and cold, oppressive imagery, the track confronts the listener with the mechanics of misery, revealing a world in which destruction is not an endpoint but a permanent condition. Released as the third single in advance of the whole album, 'Realm of Endless Misery' deepens its unified dark vision and brings the listener one step closer to the final revelation."

Los Angeles’ ANUBIS have been playing shows and teasing the fact that the group have added an additional singer to their ranks. While some would expect Hanna Preston joining to bring something more angelic and melodic to the traditionally rooted band, instead she brings a devilish and extreme approach to the group who have simultaneously beefed up their sound as well. Today’s digital single for “Fanged Angel” is Hanna’s debut and her contributions to be heard and is available on all streaming/download platforms, or watch the music video highlighting the band’s live performance HERE.

Symphonic gothic metal project Belle Morte announces the release of a new acoustic music video for their debut single Mercy.

The new arrangement presents Mercy with piano and acoustic guitar, offering a more intimate and reflective take on the song while retaining the emotional core that made the original memorable. Romanian Progressive/Symphonic Metal band Symphress released their new single "Cerc Imperfect". The release was recorded at "The Music Lab", în Cluj-Napoca, Romania, and was mixed/mastered by Cornel Olar.

https://symphress.bandcamp.com/track/cerc-imperfect

Symphress is a progressive and symphonic rock/metal band from Cluj-Napoca, Romania, founded in 2015. Evolving from an acoustic project, they gained national attention through festivals and tours. Their debut album "Father Time – Part I" (2023) introduced their prog-rock opera style, followed by "Pseudo" (2024). The band features Sergiu Botezatu and Andrada Hofmeister (vocals), Mihai-Dan Brici and Paul Trif (guitars), Alina Rus (keyboards, studio only), Alex Cosma (bass), and Alex Titieni (drums, percussion).

One week after announcing their 15th studio album ONE, GRAMMY® Award–nominated metal icons Sevendust return with their first new music of 2026, releasing the powerful new single “Is This The Real You.” The track showcases the unmistakable sound that has propelled the band to the top of rock radio throughout their career.

Comprised of Lajon Witherspoon (vocals), Clint Lowery (guitar), John Connolly (guitar), Vince Hornsby (bass), and Morgan Rose (drums), Sevendust once again deliver a driving, emotionally charged anthem that blends aggression, melody, and authenticity. “Is This The Real You” is available now on all digital streaming platforms.

“It was as honest, natural, and pure as any song can be. If you really want to know what Sevendust sounds like in 2026, ‘Is This The Real You?’gives you a good idea,” Sevendust guitarist John Connolly explains.

The accompanying music video, directed by Paul Ribera, further highlights Sevendust’s ability to captivate through striking visuals. The animated clip follows a sharply dressed character who possesses the power to compel people into actions they wouldn’t normally take. As the story unfolds, each character is confronted with a hidden side of themselves, mirroring Witherspoon’s haunting chorus question: “Is this the real you?” The video transitions panel by panel with dramatic zooms, building toward a dark, devilish finale.

The music video for “Is This The Real You” can be seen HERE.

German Doom/Stoner Metal band Astral Goat Dominion released their debut album "Only Lucifer and Fuzz". The release was recorded in "Fuzz Armageddon Studios", and mixed/mastered in "Beat Crusher" recording studios.

Check out the album linked below:

Astral Goat Dominion is a psych-ritual stoner doom duo formed by Oniric (bass, vocals, synth, rituals) and Khaosfuzz (guitar, vocals). Their sound merges crushing doom riffs with occult, luciferian atmospheres and trance-like heaviness. Following the debut single "Lucifer (Part I)", the duo unveiled their first full-length album "Only Lucifer and Fuzz", a dense and hypnotic ritual of distortion, devotion, and ritualistic doom metal.

Metalcore act ARTIFACT have released not one but two EP releases, with a third EP on the way, out real soon! Some shows are being set into play, as well as touring perhaps. For now, the band talks about these plans, releases, and what dream they hope to achieve.

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

Artifact started out as a bedroom project between just me (Michael Veneris, vocalist) and our original guitarist Andrew Atkinson. We wanted to write music similar to bands like spiritbox with a big emphasis on orchestral elements however with the lineup changes and us maturing as musicians and people the goal shifted to creating music that is as authentic as possible. Basically, there's no rules now, we want to just sound like us and explore different timbres, textures and create something new and fresh.

Harvey our drummer joined the band in its early days and put in a lot of hard work outside of playing his instrument. Hayden our guitarist reached out online and showed us his chops, his influences are melodic death metal and progressive music which add a new flare to what we already have. Bec (vocals) has been a close friend of mine for a very long time and played in a small folk/acoustic duet with me. She loves her metal but really clicks with emo/prog/folk stuff. I have composed with Nathan our most recent member in the past, Hayden already knew him and pushed for him to become a member. A few tracks on the EP were actually songs we worked on months prior to him becoming a member, originally created as demos for fun.

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

Artifacts are unwanted or accidental sonic material like hisses, clicks and pops which happen when say you push a compressor too hard etc. Andrew suggested the name and I agreed. It sounded cool and we are far from perfect; there's hundreds of mistakes in our music that we spend hours trying to fix but you know what, may sound cliche but that's what I think makes us sound human.

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

We are a bunch of bogan Aussies based in a small-ish town in regional NSW called Wagga Wagga. Honestly there aren't many metal acts from here that I am aware however Albury which is around an hour's drive has some good talent. Bands like Trancestate, Arkangel, Soulsleep, Grim seem to be doing some very cool things.

4. How would you describe your style?

We are metalcore but not cookie cutter metalcore (does not quite narrow it down I know). We have a mix between deathcore growls and shrieks, groovy guitars, catchy female sung clean chorus melodies with odd rhythms not from playing different time signatures but through metric modulation. Our songs are quite a blend, and the vibes and themes change dramatically from each release while we try and find what works for us.

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

We have released two EP's so far Unravel and Insurrection. Unravel is very emotional and discusses grief and trauma as the main topics with a heavy emphasis on orchestral elements in the mix. Insurrection is more introspective with anti-war themes and potential societal collapse. It's groovy and I would say is the reason why we have started to get noticed.

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

We absolutely do, our new EP Umbra is coming out on the 6th of February and is very different from the rest. There are a few nods to our older material however each track is extremely unique and it's one of those releases where it's hard to pick a favorite. It's far more progressive, introspective and raw than the other two. You can check out our singles A-voidant and Requiem which have visualizers on YouTube and other streaming services.

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

At the moment we are organizing a few shows and hopefully an east coast tour in Australia however nothing I am allowed to say much about just yet. We have had to take it easy after our tour in SE Asia as a lot of us work fulltime.

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

Grow our audience more, move on to bigger and better shows, more frequent tours and as an end goal, do this fulltime as a career. That's our dream.

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

Our material is on Spotify, Tidal, Apple Music, YouTube etc. - https://linktr.ee/artifactau if you want to support the band which we would greatly appreciate, you can find our merch online here: https://www.indiemerchstore.com/collections/bleeding-art-collective?fbclid=IwY2xjawM4x3ZleHRuA2FlbQIxMABicmlkETFYd1BqNzRCZkJianFremZXAR6USFQFe3IBxW68zRt26CQwu_OegTbaSvGchpIulWVf_SiApgtNk9vs7JEKlQ_aem_5MZkYClA_tveeBFt2giYvg

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?

That what we do is raw, authentic and honest. With the new material we have specifically, that you're not alone.

Thrash metal band ZERO TOLERANCE out of Canada, had formed in 2022, not that long ago, but since have released an array of material, including a demo, singles, EP and even a debut album! Having found the band via social media, getting the chance to discuss with one of the members, what music has been released thus far, the plans for this year, and anything else that comes to mind can be found below!

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or did it come out just like that?

We kind of created it on our own. It took forever to get a band name though. It’s all because we didn’t want a cliche name and we also wanted something that anybody can see and think it’s cool. We know the band Death is most notable for having a song titled “Zero Tolerance”, but our band name was never directly ripped from that all.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

To be speak for all of us, we kind of just fell into it organically. There was no outside pressure. It all came from within us. Our dads were into rock and metal and even played in bands back in the day. To make things even cooler, Dave Copeland (Eon and Eve’s dad) played guitar in Dogs with Jobs whose singer and bassist Gord Kirchin was in Piledriver (singer + bassist). We do owe it to our dads for sure, but we found our instruments and thrash metal on our own.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

I myself have known Eon (drummer) since kindergarten. Then of course, Eon and Eve (rhythm guitars) are brother/sister. We met Jacob at one of our own local shows back in 2023. Before he was in the band.

4. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

We are based out of Hamilton, Ontario. Our music scene is decent. It’s strong but dispersed. Being so close to the GTA it makes there to be a lot of people in bands and to many shows. There’s also not a really strong thrash metal scene in Ontario. We are currently branching out into Quebec and looking at the USA.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

To speak for myself, it comes from within. I just write what sounds cool. I don’t write intentionally thinking if this is going to be our “big break”. I can say the same for all of us. We write songs that we enjoy. We believe the best music is made by people who had no pressure and wrote what they wanted. That’s why debut albums are so raw and organic.

6. What are your songs about? (What specific themes do they cover?)

Our songs cover a lot of themes. We don’t go the gory and satanistic way of thrash metal. We like to write about past events - i.e Hexengeist being about The Salem Witch Trials. We also just write about whatever is on our minds. Whether it’s personal struggles or something that we find cool and unique.

7. Do you write your own songs? (Discuss the songwriting process in detail.)

If you mean original material, then yes. But as for songwriting, it mainly starts with a guitar riff. We like to build the song fully with guitars, then get drums, bass vocals etc. Eve and I write songs by ourselves normally. Sometimes we write songs together. Eon kind of takes our guitar demos and breathes life into it as most drummers should do. Bass is written with drums so they can groove together.

8. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

We have multiple releases:

Hellion Trance - Demo (2023)

Tender is the Flesh - Single (2024)

Tender is the flesh - EP (2024

Death by Thrash - Single (2025)

A Test of Strength - Debut Album (2025)

Keep expecting the same progressing songwriting we’ve been doing. We can’t wait to share what we have next.

9. Do you have any new music in the works?

Most definitely. I can’t say much but we are looking at getting studio time very soon.

10. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

Yes, many. We have just got our work visas to tour the USA. We’re looking at doing lots of shows in neighboring states and playing a few local shows to promote the album.

11. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

Simple. Never stop. To keep progressing further musically and as a band.

12. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

Our music is available on ALL streaming services. (Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube etc). You can buy our stuff on our bandcamp! https://zerotolerancethrash.bandcamp.com/merch. Thank you for your time!

Shortly after completing their "Sleepless Empire EU/UK Tour", Italian metal icons Lacuna Coil continue their live momentum with the announcement of their "Sleepless Empire US Tour", which is set to start in March 2026. With this run of dates, the band brings their signature dark atmosphere and the emotional intensity of Sleepless Empire to stages across North America:

Lacuna Coil return to the US with special guests Escape The Fate, as well as VOWWS (Mar. 24 – Apr. 13, 2026) and AXTY (Apr. 15 – Apr. 29, 2026). The tour is set to start in New York on March 24th and concludes in Albany on May 1st.

The announcement comes with a corresponding new official video for "Hosting the Shadow", that shows Lacuna Coil in full force during their set at Aftershock festival in October 2025. Joining them on stage is Lamb Of God front-man Randy Blythe, who is featured on the album track.

"Filming the video for 'Hosting The Shadow' at Aftershock, sharing the stage with my family in Lacuna Coil and with Randy Blythe was a truly cathartic experience. Randy is not only an incredible, professional musician, he's also a precious friend and has added so much to our song. I think the video shows clearly the level of emotion and joy we shared both off and onstage - I used that positive energy to give it my all even though I was performing with a fever, ha ha! Please enjoy the video, I truly hope you like it!" - Cristina Scabbia

The track stands out as one of the most powerful moments on Sleepless Empire, and the video captures the raw energy and uncompromising presence of the band on stage.
