Nu-Metal Band Phoenix Rising has released the video for their newest single "Lights Out," off of their upcoming debut album titled "From the Ashes". A love letter to UFC and ESports, this high energy music video follows a day in the life of an MMA fighter and ESports Street Fighter 5 gamer as they get ready for their respective tournament matches.

"The newest single from PHOENIX RISING, "LIGHTS OUT" is one of the most aggressive songs in our repertoire. This is an anthem for those people who are constantly getting kicked down by life and the ongoing struggles that never seem to cease. We will never be beaten! "You think its an easy win, I am a phoenix and I just rise again."

For the video, we decided to make it a love letter to UFC and Esports since everyone in the band enjoys MMA matches and competitive video games. We wanted a high energy music video that shows a day in the life of a MMA fighter and Esports Street Fighter 5 gamer in parallel as they get ready for their respective tournament matches.

The two fighters awaken with purpose and the video instantly delves into their day. The fighters train, practice combinations, and go to the tournament all culminating in the final knockout against their nemesis.

The video showcases PHOENIX RISING not only performing in the octagon ring, we wanted each member to have a cameo in the video as well!

"LIGHTS OUT" has a ton of attitude and is built to get the blood pumping with driving beats combined with aggressive riffs. With lyrics like "Step inside the ring I'm ready to go", we wanted "LIGHTS OUT" to give you the motivational energy to get up and fight for what you want out of life." - Phoenix Rising

Paddy And The Rats have released a new video of the song titled "Castaway". The clip was shot last October at a stormy shore at the Algarve in Portugal, of course, and gives a good taste of what the upcoming album is going to be like, as it is being released on April 6th 2018.

Singer/bandleader Paddy says about the clip: "The Algarve is one of the most stunning and most natural coastline of Europe so it was perfect to shoot the video. We wanted to feel like I'm truly on a desert island and there's nowhere to go and no one to talk. While we were shooting I had to be in the cold ocean for hours long, walk without shoes all day long in the underbrush. And I realized, if I had to do this for years because I'm a castaway, that's really not a nice thing even if there's an amazing beach.  Nature is so much stronger than you. The lyric is an allegory. Sometimes you feel yourself so isolated in life if you were a castaway. But you always have to go on, like in the myth of Sisyphus. You know at some point your stone will fall back but you have roll it on again and again. You can never give up."

Superstar vocalist and television heart throb Ryan McCartan, whose been in such shows as Fox's Rocky Horror Picture Show, Disney's Liv and Maddieand The Girl and the Dreamcatcher. Besides making TV appearances, he has been writing and recording material for his debut solo EP entitled "The Opposite", by releasing his debut new single of the track called "Changed My Mind".

When asked about the single and EP, Ryan says ""Changed My Mind" is the premiere single off my debut solo EP "The Opposite". This is a massive passion project of mine, as every song was written, performed, produced, recorded and engineered all by me in my home studio.

"Changed My Mind" is one of five songs on the EP, which takes listeners through my convoluted and tumultuous grieving process following a horrific break up. Each song represents one of the five stages of grief, and "Changed My Mind" is the final stage of acceptance. I feel blessed every day to be able to create and share my art with the world. I’ve never been happier in my entire life!"

The single is also available on Spotify and Apple Music. Check out the track HERE.
