Purity Test Discusses Newest Content and Much More!

Death metal thrash band PURITY TEST just dropped a release titled "Terror Reel", with new music in process to come soon. A tour and shows are likely to follow soon with much else to plan itself out as well. The band  discusses newest release and touring plans.

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

Purity Test came together to deliver something intentional. There was more work to be done after practicing and performing in Court Order, and there was a need to deliver something… heavier.

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

A self-graded survey that assesses the participants' supposed degree of innocence in worldly matters as discussed by Joe Rogan on his podcast.

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

New Jersey. Hard. All the music was recorded and written there and has not yet been performed out of the state. Purity Test is excited to have “Terror Reel” released and getting heard in Bangladesh. We’d recommend all the names in the long list of bands in the congested NJ/NY metal landscape.

4. How would you describe your style?

Death Metal and thrash caved into each other with digestible noise.

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

“Terror Reel” dropped August 2022. It’s short, but impactful.

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

Mentally, yes. The best place for songs.

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

Every band’s responsibility is to perform. It’s an obligation. No current dates, but Purity Test will have its day on stage.

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

Hopefully more inspiration to deliver something brutal. Unique. Abrasive. More new music will come as we have time between tour. Purity Test doesn’t write on the road.

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

Everywhere tickets are sold. @thisispuritytest everywhere else.

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?

Purity Test is the heaviest fucking band you have ever heard.
