Frau Fleischer Says Much on New Project and Leaving the Past Projects Behind

French industrial metal band FRAU FLEISCHER is an all new band that was formed in 2020. This trio of musicians have come together, to release all new content, stepping away from previous works that are no longer needed. See what the band had to say about the past, present, and future.

1. So would you say that Frau Fleischer is a solo project or just another band in the form of being a project?

Gabriel Daimon: I must say Frau Fleischer is a state of mind! We are working far from each other but having the same vibes and we have just started this journey, this project, so who knows what will the future reserve us!

Franz Schultz: Yes, actually Gabriel lives in Italy, Greg in the east of France and I live in the south, but distance is not a problem when you have the same vibes! We work like that and with technology it's not a problem.

Frau Fleischer is not only another band but a real project that takes shapes day after day and is not ready to stop.

2. Is there any significance behind your band name?

Gabriel Daimon: Frau Fleischer is a woman, a man, a creature that stands against this shallowness and over all it is a critique to this modern/old way of objectifying bodies without any meaning! I know, people have already done that but the problem is really actual and we want to make our part in this. It seems like we actually are living in a Butcher's Shop, today more than ever. We are not trying to moralize this kind of things, just giving our opinion and trying to make it artistic and stylish.

3. How would you describe your music to someone who has never heard you before?

Gabriel Daimon: Visceral, painful and rude, but always with this liberating intention, because at the end of the day what we want to do is dance, have a drink or more, have great sex and over all have fun!

Franz Schultz: A crossover of different universes, made by musicians with a different history. We listen to a lot of things and Frau Fleischer is our child, a dirty kid, a hybrid creature, a reflection of a perfect universe as we imagine it.

4. What was your latest release of music and can you talk about that a bit?

Gabriel Daimon: Sacrifice is our first release and it is to me like a prayer to the Lord, an intimate discussion within myself, trying to figure out how I can love myself through the darkness that belongs to every human being. Forgiving ourselves is the first step to a better life!

Franz Schultz: Amen!!!!

5. How would you say that Frau Fleischer and SCHULTZ are different, alike, and the same to one another?

Franz Schultz: For me each project is different. SCHULTZ has been my project for over 15 years, and it was time to move on.  This project was a solo project, then a duo that became a band, but for me it was time to pause it.

The last album released in May 2020 didn't really correspond to what I had in mind at this time for SCHULTZ and I needed to take a break, to do something else. Now I can’t tell you if this break is temporary and that SCHULTZ will return one day.

Frau Fleischer is different for me because it is a new adventure and I rediscover the pleasure of creating, innovating, testing, something that I had not felt for several years with SCHULTZ.

So yes for some this project may seem identical or similar, for sure there’ll be points in common because this music is the music that I like but the approach that I have today is totally different and hoped me free in my mind.

6. What are your goals for the future as a band?

Gabriel Daimon: I would say that I truly want to conquer the world!!! Step by step, performance by performance, song after song!

Franz Schultz: Frau Fleischer is still a baby, he has to grow up, and he's growing up well. We have lots of projects, ideas, we are moving forward step by step but it is still too early to talk about them.

7. What about your plans for this next year in 2021?

Franz Schultz: Continue to develop the band, his universe,  to release new tracks, to work on an album. Playing live if the health situation will get better one day. The project is just born and there is still a lot of work to do.

8. Where can the readers find your music and more info about you?
