The KillerHertz Says Loads on Music, Show Playing, and More to Come!

Hard rockers THE KILLERHERTZ have been around for a while, releasing two album's with an EP follow-up due this early summer time. Shows will follow of course, with more music also incoming as well. Find out what the band had to say about themselves and their music below.

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

We started back in 2011 rehearsing once a week on borrowed instruments - we were childhood friends who have had a break from the music scene due to family and kids…we came from different bands, such as Saturnus, Pitch Black and Morbid Vision, meaning we mostly played trash and death metal. But after a few years break we were eager to start a band together - and in the rock genre instead. There are only two members left from the starting period, Thomas Trold and Kent KillerHertz. The two new spots are now filled in with Jonas Roxx on lead guitar and Jakob Nielsen on bass.

2. What´s the origin of the band´s name?

Thomas Trold and our former member Tais came up with the name one night, after been searching for a suitable name through different types of media.

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

We were in a privilege, because a lot of us back then wanted to play instruments and wanted to be the next big Rockstar (growing up with MTV) - so we had a large network of musicians in our local city (Kastrup). And with Copenhagen a few miles away, we had some pretty good opportunities to attend the smaller stages, with a larger audience. It was easier back then getting a gig - the scene today needs a bit more work getting a deal for a gig, and with fewer money to the bands. Local bands could be Wasted, Iron Fire, Saturnus, Pitch Black to mention a few.

4. How would you describe your style?

Our style is hard rock with inspirations from bands such as Megadeth, Metallica and Volbeat.

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

We have two full album releases - A Killer Anthem in 2014 and Mirrors Portrait in 2017. We have an EP album release this year in May called Innocent Sinners. You can expect a different sound compared to our two former releases. We have lifted our own barrier according to the writing and the compositions of the new numbers. We have a solid line-up, which hopefully can push the barrier even further.

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

We have made four new numbers - well three new ones and a cover song from an old and very popular Danish band called Danseorkestret.

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

We are planning concerts this summer, with an old Danish band called Wasted. The schedule is still in the making.

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

We are producing music videos at the moment - with four video releases within a month and a half of each other, which means releases in January, March, May and June. At the same time, we will release an EP album in May. Concerts is schedule to begin this summer, and hopefully a gig or two abroad.

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

You can always buy our cd´s and other merch through The KillerHertz Facebook page - and our music on digital platforms as The KillerHertz Spotify-page, Deezer, Google Play etc.

10. What is it you´d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?
Our catchy chorus - tight beats and hopefully remembering the tunes afterwards
