In her previous release "Silent Screams" (2008) Éowyn was focused on encouraging those who were ensnared by depression, anger, loneliness, and insecurities that needed to cry out for help from Jesus Christ or family and friends. Éowyn's heart poured upon this album often at times having her at the verge of tears. She explains that “It breaks my heart to see people hurting. I can't help but cry, because I understand what they're going through, and I truly known how they can be whole again."

Now that three years have gone by she looks to "Beautiful Ashes" her follow-up release as her redemption to spirituality and restoring those dreams that may have been lost. She describes the meaning behind the title as follows “The purpose behind this album is to encourage others that God is a restorer of hope, and that He is a restore of dreams. That no matter what devastation has happened in their life and no matter how bad their circumstances seem around the, God wants to bring their situation back to life that it may become beautiful once again."

Éowyn is no stringer to the feelings of loneliness and hopelessness let alone doubt she is well aware of all of these abnormal feelings. 2008 saw her in utter despair forcing her to sell everything that dealt with her musical career announcing her departure from the industry it was quite devastating. She says that "I was devastated and to be perfectly honest, didn't know what to do or think. I questioned why God would allow this in my life, I felt as if everything that God had built up over the years has been reduced to rubble and ruins. But over the next 2 years, God began to rebuild my faith and slowly my hope returned as I turned all that I had over to Him. He began t show me the beauty that still lingered amidst the ashes."

The title track sets the album up building a solid ground for what lays ahead. The guitars are heavy yet softened by the calm melodies of Éowyn’s vocal presences, her raw emotional context really providing that adrenaline rush that keeps the music in-depth and alive. "Dreams", is a ballad tune that is offered that expresses a deeper progression than most ballad type tunes. "Alive", has that electronic tone written all over it with the pounding beats of the guitar Éowyn overpowers the music altogether.

"The Music Box", does precisely what it’s called, it has its music box tone that lingers for 10 seconds then fades away allowing the strings to do their thing but soon finds its way back into the moment. Éowyn vocal attics layering along the top this form being used several times before fading to rest.

"Beautiful Ashes" takes what we already know of Éowyn but enlightens it bringing back a meaning of why she does what she's known to do.

Good Charlotte will launch a co-headlining tour of the U.S. with Yellowcard at the House of Blues in San Diego, CA. Label mates Runner Runner will open on all dates. The outing follows Good Charlotte’s successful winter headlining tour, which included sold-out shows in New York City, Washington, DC, Allentown, Boston and Cleveland.

The video for “Last Night,” Good Charlotte’s latest single, has been added at Teen Nick, MTV Hits, mtvU and Music Choice. Since premiering at www.funnyordie.com, it’s been featured on more than 30 music sites and tastemaker blogs, including RollingStone.com, mtv.com, Yahoo! Music, Buzznet and many others.

“In conjunction with Funny or Die, the band has recreated the look and feel of every child of the ’80s favorite game show, Family Double Dare, right down to the pie cam, stagehands, and so-not HD resolution,” said lamusicblog.com. “They were even able to tear Marc Summers away from his duties at Unwrapped to host the faux show, and the result is the finest in nostalgia-inducing hilarity!”

Runner Runner is the first band signed to Clear Entertainment/C.E. Music, a new label formed by David Letterman’s Worldwide Pants Inc. through a partnership with EMI’s Capitol Records and music industry veteran Jack Ponti’s MRV label. “I Can’t Wait” is the latest single from the band’s self-titled debut album. “Hey Alli” was tapped earlier this year as the iTunes Single of the Week and was accompanied by two videos – a performance clip and a short film directed by Isaac Rentz (Cage The Elephant, Pistol Youth, Manchester Orchestra). THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER will release their new album, "Ritual", in Europe on June 17 and in North America on June 21 via Metal Blade Records. The effort will also be available as a box set, limited to 2,000 units including special, exclusive digibook, witch board, magic wand, sage, incense sticks and coffin nails. The CD was once again be produced by Mark Lewis (TRIVIUM, BURY YOUR DEAD, DEICIDE), who also worked on 2009's "Deflorate". The song "Moonlight Equilibrium" is available for streaming at this location.

Frontman Trevor Strnad considers "Ritual" "the most focused THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER strike of all time."

"The whole thread of the songs is more tied together than ever before," explains Strnad. "Part of it was kind of like, 'What can we do that's the most BLACK DAHLIA MURDER thing? What's going to be the most quintessential BLACK DAHLIA MURDER thing we can do?' That's kind of what we set our foothold in. And 'Ritual', it just lends itself to that — it's mysticism and magic and all of that. Everyone has an association with some kind of ritual, so we just thought it was the next logical step."

Recalling the writing process that led to "Ritual"'s eventual 12 songs, Strnad says that "every song that got brought forth was exciting and more three-dimensional, more twists and turns, more surprises. There's more ups and downs and taking people on a journey this time."

Co-founder Brian Eschbach, meanwhile, credits the presence of fellow guitarist Ryan Knight, who joined the band for "Deflorate", with helping to move things forward on this particular venture.

"It's been more collaborative than it's been in years," Eschbach notes. "The last two albums ('Deflorate' and 2007's 'Nocturnal') I wrote most of the music, and this one it's almost a 50-50 effort between me and (Knight). He lifted what we were doing on the last album so much from what we've done before, his different techniques and stylings that he knows how to wield. It's really exciting for us to have that be part of the band now." Strnad adds that Knight "is an educated musician, and he's brought that kind of aspect into the band, too. We came to him having higher expectations, and he's exceeded all of those."

THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER has crammed quite a bit into its 10 years together — five albums, three EPs and a DVD (2009's "Majesty") — and the group members themselves seem a bit surprised by what they've wrought. "Yeah, initially we thought we were going to get together on Sundays and try to put a song together every week," Eschbach recalls. "We never dreamed of being able to live off the band." But Strnad says it didn't take long to sense that they could.

"We had the vision that we wanted to take the band to more people, that we wanted to have something bigger than just playing at the crappy ass local bar," he explains. "Being a metal band, I think, is being an underdog. To play music you know is not digestible on purpose, to preach to a certain kind of depraved person...It's a lofty goal to have anyone want to hear what we have to say. We've been really, really lucky, but at the same time we're always looking to the future and trying to do what we do better and better.

"And I would say this time, with 'Ritual', we really nailed it even harder than we have before."

Mattel's Monster High line was introduced to the crowds of on lookers at last year's Comic Con in San Diego, California. Since its debut the line launched as of July 2010 and has forever launched into a series of assorted products i.e. appeal, toys, dolls, electronic devices, and soon to be released CDs, and DVDs.

As Comic Con had last year they have decided to do this year which is release a special edition Monster High collector doll. Last year had Frankie Stein be the honorable mention having her being transformed into a unique black and white format thus doing a rendition of the classic horror flick, Frankenstein.

This year is no different because it will be Monster High’s smartest ghoul in school to take this year’s honorable mention and that is Ghoulia Yelps. She is not only the smartest ghoul in school but is also a comic book fan as well. So she finds herself on her way to the Nekro Con dressed up as her favorite zombie super hero, Dead Fast. Dead Fast's story goes as so, once he was just a face in the shambling crowd until he was pecked by a radioactive hummingbird giving him the power of super speed! Now he's the zombie super hero Dead Fast! You can't outrun zombie justice! The special collector doll comes with a miniature Dead Fast action figure and a fan fiction book that she wrote and illustrated herself.

Whilst being together for 14 years is a good thing it's surprising to see Tampa, Florida residents Underoath are still around at all. With their record of band member changes occurring periodically, it’s funny how they have managed to stick around for this long to begin with. "Ø (Disambiguation)", steps away from their previous releases "Define the Great Line" (2006) and 2008's "Lost in the Sound of Separation", to become a darker album to cope with.

Guitarist Tim McTague says “We’ve never been afraid of singing, but the big poppy choruses are gone. This record has a lot more of a mature feeling. It wasn’t that we hated melody, but we wanted it to be a proper fit.” With that said, "In Division", starts the album off with a layer of guitar driven aftermath with diverse vocals with hooks so captive it’s hard to resist. The song sets up the rest of the album like with "Catch Myself Catching Myself", the song features chorus structure that has vocalist Spencer Chamberlain really giving it his all drawing in between the lines of resembling that of Norma Jeans musical traits.

Distortion, voiceovers, very powerful tracks are all over this album; "Illuminator", and "Paper Lung", give that inner tone of aggression and ability. Like “Paper Lung”, is considerably the “ballad” on this album offering a soft melodic sense that slowly fades away mid-way through the track, then that aggressive overtone of effort comes in bashing it to pieces its really breath taking.

It goes without saying that Chamberlain has lyrically outdone himself by developing his clean vocals to contrast with his screaming attics really is flawless. The fact being that each song indeed revolves around his vocals gives the album and the band an immediate focus that was missing from their prior albums.

Thus leaving Underoath to have a diverse set of records that can appeal to anyone making "Ø (Disambiguation)", that more memorable.
