Dynoride Talks of Upcoming Music, Touring, and Insight into Themselves!

Alternative rock band DYNORIDE has released not one but three full-length album's, a couple of EP's, with a bunch of all new songs expected upon the next album due next year! The band talks about this content, where to find out all about them and plans in the works too.

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

Dynoride began as an acoustic project in 2008 with two high school friends, John Taylor and Burnell Eckardt. Since then we've had 12 drummers. Our current drummer, Alex Triece, has lasted the longest but is on thin ice. Between the three current members we have fathered a total of 10 children and we have now officially solidified ourselves in the realm of “dad rock”.

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

A component on the dashboard of Burnell's Buick LeSabre had the word “Dynaride” printed on it. We liked the word so much that we replaced the “a” with an “o”.

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

The band is based in the Quad Cities, Illinois/Iowa area. Being located right off of Interstate 80 in the middle of the country, we see a lot of touring groups stopping off to play. We are aged, aging, and out of touch with the local music scene for the most part. Most of the bands we know are peers who we have been playing in bands with for decades. A local band we have been playing a lot with lately is called Half Catholic.

4. How would you describe your style?

High energy rock with an alternative/grunge bent to it.

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

The band has released 3 full length records and 2 EPs since 2012. Our most recent release was November of this year, a Christmas album called “You Better Watch Out”. Earlier this year the band released a deluxe edition of our debut album, “What You Wanted”, which featured additional tracks.

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

We have 6 new songs that have not been released and are hoping to write a few more to put together an album in 2023.

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

We play locally for the most part, dozens of shows a year, anything from festivals to bars. We'd like to tour given the right opportunity!

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

To continue making great music, to hop on a tour, and to rule the 7 Kingdoms.

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?
