Metal go getters THE METAL FACTORY have an album out, with some single's and some new music videos and more content underway! The band talks of this content, events, and more all below.
1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
The band Metal Factory is female – fronted metal band from Czechia led by 2 singers. It was formed in 2021 by guitarist Vašek Moch and after their first successful single called „Dirty Game“ Metal Factory released debut album „DEFEAT ALL“ on February 22, 2022. There are currently 5 permanent members of the band – 2 lead singers, Pavlína Mochová and Zuzana Batková, Vašek Moch (guitars), Jaroslav Sedláček (bass) and Dan Jureček (drums). The complete instrumental section of the band came from a Czech powermetal band that performed at the biggest Czech metal festivals and as a support of metal bands like Accept, Freedom Call, Sabaton, Primal Fear, Dragonforce, Tarja etc.
About our lead singers:
Pavlína Mochová - before the Metal Factory engagement, Pavlina sang in several local bands and “party bands” - she liked to sing cover versions too - such as Iron Maiden, AC/DC, Metallica etc., and in 2014 she even won national competition called “Czechia sings – Česko zpívá”. She studied Piano and she is a fan of art, photohraphy, drawing, gardening, animals, pets and computer games.
Zuzana Batková – she sang in several local bands and liked to sing covers too, including progress or gothic metal songs. She is a multi-instrumentalist and plays keys, guitar, flute, cajon and little bit cello. She loves sports and has her own board game club.
2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?
The band comes from the city of Ostrava. This town is called “the steel heart” of the Czech Republic, there are a huge number of industrial companies in the region, engaged in the production of iron and steel. Many historically important metal bands of the Czech scene come from here. Some of us have civilian jobs related to the production of metals. We grew up in close to ironworks in our town, we listen to metal all our lives and we want to follow this link. Everything makes sense.
3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?
We have already answered the first part of the question in the previous paragraph, but to be specific to the local music scene: from historical and legendary bands from the Ostrava region, we can mention, for example bands Citron or Doga. In the Czech Republic we have a number of rock and metal bands with english lyrics, many of them at a very good level. Eagleheart, Surma, Sebastien, Dymytry and many more.
4. How would you describe your style?
The first CD is very diverse from our point of view (and from the point of view of the reviewers), which was our intention. Sometimes it's possible to hurt because the reviewers don't know where to put us, but we wanted to know the reactions and be more specific in the next creation. At the moment, we are somewhere on the border between heavy/power and melodic metal.
5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?
In 2021 we released the first singles (Dirty Game, Defeat All, Live Your Dream, Infection with Relief) and on February 22, 2022 we released the first CD, which contains all the singles in the new sound-design and contains a total of 12 tracks. From us You can expect pure metal with strong female vocals, without unnecessary embellishments. With strong rhythms and guitar solos, that's clear. If You like metal bands like Battle Beast, then (we believe) you are at the right address.
6. Do you have any new music in the works?
We are currently preparing new official music video with song from the CD, but we have a lot of new ideas that we are excited about. It is possible to expect further news in the coming months. We don´t have to hurry, we want us to move the recordings to the highest level possible. But there are really a lot of ideas and recordings in progress.
7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?
This year we started the first season that we spend in the Czech Republic, but at really great events from our point of view. We expect that the coming seasons can be very strong after the covid break. Looking forward to them. The listeners' reactions are great so far, higher than we expect.
8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?
We want to record a new CD, raise it to the maximum possible level and, of course, to perform at the most interesting events at home and abroad. We would like the new CD to be released by some of the quality worldwide labels. But we will definitely not overtake, we want to present the current debut CD live and get as much attention as possible.

It is also possible to order a digital copy of the CD via e-mail, including a digital booklet, directly from us. You can also order our original merchandise - t-shirts, sweatshirts, patches, women's dresses and much more. We think our logo looks very nice on them.
10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?
To remember our face. The sound design or details may change over time, but the basic character of the band remains and we believe that despite all the modern metal bands we will find and keep our face. The tip is to be sure to listen to the songs in order as they go on the record. From our point of view, the song Never Again is a power metal classic in triplet rhythm that really opens the record, just as it opens concerts at the moment. On the CD Defeat All, we would like to present each song as a separate story.
