Revoltone Discusses a Live Stream Event and All New Music!

Melodic punk rockers REVOLTONE have a handful of track's out there, with them always constantly working on all new stuff as well. The band discusses how they have a live stream event happening online with much else in-store too.

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

Revoltone was formed late 2018. We are four peace with current and ex-members from bands like Fumble, One Morning Left, Dashbone. All of us have a colorful history with music and different bands. We have tons of experience with playing sweaty gigs, raw tours and recording songs for various albums. All this drove us to give birth to the message and the sound of Revoltone.

Läde (vocals&guitar) and basist Diego have been friends from childhood and play’d together in numerous bands over the years. Onni (guitar) is a Finnish punk rock “pioneer” who started a band called Fumble back in the 90s. The tree of us had playd gigs together and became friends over the years. Niko (drums) joined when our original drummer Sammy had to quit. Niko also plays in the band One Morning Left and with similar interests and musical taste was a perfect fit.

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

When thinking of the name it was clear it needed to somehow reflect the message of the band. We played around with the term revolt cause that’s what we do INOUR OWN WAY and someone just came up with the idea that this is the tone of revolt and we turned it around and it there it was REVOLTONE

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

We are based in Helsinki, Finland. There are a ton of great bands in Finland, we are known for metal bands but there are a ton of great punk rock band as well! But just to mention a few you should definitely check out Clark Kent, One Hidden Frame, Flophouse Phonics and of course Niko’s other band One Morning Left and Onni’s original band Fumble.

4. How would you describe your style?

Energetic melodic rock punk. We take a lot from skate punk and punk rock but we try to put everything trough the Revoltone “grinder” to make things sound like us.

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

We have released 4 songs so far, Get Ahead was the first song. Then we put out a song called “It Hurts”, that is a song tackling the issue of bullying, discrimination etc. That still a regular in out set. Then 3 singles from the upcoming album “For The Silent Voices” that is released 23rd of April!! Singles were “Be Yourself”, Who Do We Think We Are and My Hero. There are also videos out there for Get Ahead, It Hurts, Be Yourself and Who Do We Think!

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

We are constantly and all the time working on new stuff. When will we next release music, we have no idea, lets get the album out there. =)

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

We have a Record Release Facebook LiveStream gig coming up on the Friday April 23rd 2021 at 9 pm Finnish time (CET +2). Check it here: Feel free to join us!!

We had quite a few shows lined up in Finland last summer and fall but they all were cancelled because of the Covid pandemic. We are so hoping things to get better so we can get out there and play live. We are planning to do a tour  in Europe as soon as its possible

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

Like I said before, the album is coming out on April 23rd and hopefully the pandemic will ease up and we can get out there to play live as much as we can! If not we’ll probably do some more livestreams etc.

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?
