4ra 4ra Talks of Singles, Showcases and Tour Plans!

Cyber pop artist 4RA 4RA has been doing music for sometime now, releasing nothing but single's, with more music underway as it were. Some small shows have been done with a tour set for the spring time! See what else is said below.

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

I started making music two years ago. At first, I was a rapper, but I was kind of making fun of it. However, I found myself very passionate about music during that time. I wanted to start a band, but there was no one who wanted to collaborate with me or compose music according to my ideas. I decided to learn it myself, and now I can create whatever comes to my mind. It's really important for my music because my mind is a complex mess.

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

My name is Ara Ara, but with numbers 4ra 4ra, like a gaming nickname where you need to use numbers instead of letters for accessibility. 'Ara Ara' is something like 'Oh my,' said by a cougar woman in anime or an expression of surprise. I chose it because it's a sort of meme and it's a part of my real name, Klara.

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

I’m based in the Czech Republic, in central Europe. Originally a painter, I'm more involved in the local fine art scene, but I also really like the underground and hardcore music scene. However, it's quite disappointing with the mainstream, which is five years behind the world and lacks authenticity.

4. How would you describe your style?

My style is Cyber Pop, which means heavy synths, distorted basses and instruments, cyberpunk mid-tempo influences, and J-Pop vocals mixed with an insane anime character touch. Inspired by the final boss soundtracks, my music is a kawaii badtrip.

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

I’m in the singles game right now and have released 5 singles. The year 2022 was a year of first experiments, and sometimes I think about dirty deleting it, but it’s a journey, and listeners can hear the progress I’ve made from it. Yeah, the Kurt Cobain mindset is a killer for talking about older stuff. I'm more confident about the fresh songs, which reflect more of my style. My work is futuristic, fierce, experimental, edgy, and in the last release, I also tried GrimesAI.

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

Yeah, we’re working on a new song collaboration with the German producer Scarlett Scarlett and right after finishing this project I’m gonna jump over to the collaboration with the Brazillian producer Leo Motoko. I’m also planning to work on more complex work this year, maybe even an EP.

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

My live shows are cybercore audio-visual experiences. As a digital artist, I emphasize strong visuals with digital avatars created by me. I started to organize ‘Cyberpunk Night’ themed parties in the Anime coffee, Prague and we have planned the Czech tour with the band Wolfgrief in the spring.

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

To learn more about creating without limitations and to prepare an international tour are my current goals. My dream also includes developing the 4ra 4ra’s Realm mobile app with AR interactions activated during my live shows. As a 3D fashion designer, I'd like to explore the creation of AR merch as well.

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

You can listen to my music on all streaming platforms like Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music, Deezer, etc.

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?

There are no borders in making art!
