Pressure Talks of Music and World Domination!

Swedish melodic rock band PRESSURE has been around for a while now, currently working upon what will be their first album to date. With much more material to fill many more albums to follow. For now though, the band goes into talks about their music and world domination.

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

It all started years ago when Simon became Emily's guitar teacher. They became fond of each other and started playing cover gigs. After a few years they got tired of playing covers and started translating and rearrange a lot of new and popular rock/pop songs.

By this time they realized that they also wanted a lead singer and they found Olof.  When Olof joined the band and we all started to work with the songs Simon also started to write his own music. Simon, Olof and Emil started working with Simon's draft and idea's for the song happened pretty fast. We wanted to write our own music. It has taken us about two years to find our sound. And today we are very proud of it! Enjoy!

Simon – Lead guitarist, band leader, song writer.

Olof – Frontman, Singer, rythem guitar, helps with song writing.

Emily– Guitarist, do graphics

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

Almost all of our songs are about different kind of pressures the everyday people can relate to. The pressure can be good or bad, and sometimes both.

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

We are based in Stockholm, and right now because of corona there we are not able to have any gigs. We, like so many others hope that it will better times soon so we can start gig again.

4. How would you describe your style?

Its actually a little of a mix, we are a melodic metal rock band, mixed with a little bit of folk music.

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

We have released 4 single's. Two of them in Swedish “Osårbar” and ÄnnuMer”. And two of the single's in both Swedish and English “Skuggan” (“The Shadow”) and “Nere Men Inte Död” (“Beaten But Not Dead”). You can expect a heavy sound with a lot of guitar melody's and a lot of vocal harmonies.

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

We are working to release our first album, recording some of the songs in German, and have more songs for more than just one album on the table.

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

We hope we can start with some shows in January, but all depends on Corona.

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

World domination.

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

You can listen through all available streaming services. And you can buy our merch at:

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?

We really hope they listen to the lyrics, we put a lot of work and thought into our lyrics, and almost all of our song you can interpret in a lot of different ways. We hope it gives people something to think about or discuss. And of course there are some killer guitar riffs that will make the songs stick. Maybe not for the first time you hear the song, but listen to it three or four times, and try not to sing along….
