Not that long ago, yet another one of many idol performances would be announced, taking place in Downtown LA near Little Tokyo. At a venue called the High Tide, a tiny little establishment, that is the perfect size for more smaller sized events like this one! This was the Idol Jam Vol. 1 featuring such acts as Bunneye, Strawberry Sunday, Berry, Phoebe, Yurapico and Aonyan! The last two performers being from Japan!

A line had already been forming outside the venue close to 3PM, when early entry doors for the VIP ticket holders, myself included, but the doors did not let everyone in at 3PM, it was more like 3:30PM, where all were gathered inside, took a group photo with the idol performers, then were able to browse around the merchandise booths set up and grab a drink! No food was available at this venue sadly.

Upon the 4PM time slot, is when general admission audiences were let inside, and by 4:30PM the first idol group would play which was Bunneye, a trio act, but this time it was just a duo. Their third member not being present due to other arrangements. But their performance wasn’t half bad, they combined pop with some rap elements, creating a style that made their performance catchy yet fun. Their persona were dogs, so the crowd barked and chanted proudly, even briefly singing “Who let the dogs out!”

BUNNEYE:

Next up would be another idol duo Strawberry Sunday, performing a solid set of songs, the crowd was really being into the whole set. Lots of chants, jumping, penlight, light stick waving, and singing along at times, with the band ending their set with two cover songs of Festive’s “Left to Right” and “BabyMetal’s “Headbanger!”, getting the crowd really moving, making it a worth wild experience.

STRAWBERRY SUNDAY:

Following would be Berry performing her hit single “Dreaming”, along with many other songs, that had such a hyper active energy source, it had the whole room floored! Lots of jumping, shouting, just such energy of momentum it was endless. She is always so fun to meet and see perform live, she never seems to disappoint, but makes her performance so fulfilling and fun!

BERRY:

Catching her performance previously, Phoebe, had such fun filled energy, her performance was just as fun, but brought down a more mellow energy. Lots of crowd interaction, with cheers and lights all around, made her performance elemental yet entertaining.

Yurapico was one of the almost last performers, and her energy made the audience begging for much more. Her singing was awesome, she kept the energy overflowing. Lots of jumping, hand jesters, crowd chanting, it was all there, making her a stand out performer, that everyone enjoyed her presents, and will likely catch her again, because she did throw on some shades and gladly say “I’ll be back”.

YURAPICO:

Ending the evening would be headliner Aonyan. She had various fans within the audience wearing cat ears, fuzzy white ears! So upon her performance it was filled with lots of movement, a circle pit was formed, going circular a few times over, with some fans in the middle running in a mini circle. With Aonyan herself, joining in at the end, made the circle movements that more entertaining. She just had such energy and a fun attitude, it made her performance that more memorable.

AONYAN:

All in all this volume 1 of the Idol Jame was a success! Quite a few turned up, had fun, with no thought to end it at all this night. Lot the fun, being endless, with so much chanting, and glowing energy it was flawless for all.

At the beginning of the month is when the maid cafe in Monterey Park known as the Asayoru Maid Cafe, would be hosting an event titled the "Milkyway Marketplace", with anime themed vendors, idol performances, stamp rally, costume contest and much more. Taking place Sunday March 23rd from 11AM to 6PM, various vendors would be set-up, along with several idol performers including BGIE, Strawberry Sunday, and Moe Age, the Asayoru Maid Cafe's very own idol group. Other idol performers were present as well as many people dressed up, with others browsing the vendors and other shops within the shopping plaza.

Having gotten there close to 1PM, the next idol performer would be an idol group known as BGIE or "Bubble Girls Idol Experience, whose membership would change from a five piece down to a four piece. But this did not dismay the performance, even under the heat of the sunshine! Their performance was energetic, with some minor technical difficulties, with the microphone set up, the performance did go off without any further problems. They performed for a solid 30 minutes, performing their hit "Penlights", that got the audience chanting and raving like no tomorrow.

BGIE:

Following this idol group would be a duo idol act known as Strawberry Sunday, who like many idol's, has their take of cover songs among other songs, they got the crowd hyped up, with lots of momentum, energy, and way more chanting and shouting within the audience. Even a mini mosh pit, jump line formation occurred during one of their cover songs by the idol group known as FESTIVE. It was a lot of fun and very moving.

STRAWBERRY SUNDAY:

Moving along, would be the Asayoru Maid Cafe's idol group Moe Age! A large crowd would be forming for these idols, with their performance lasting a good 30 minutes straight, with they too having some technical difficulties as well, it did not stop the angst and hypertension of the performance. The crowd gave it their all energy with a circle pit forming, others waving their hands in the air, light sticks and pen lights too, with all else just being so enthralled to be there in the moment!

MOE AGE:

All in all it was a fun time, with vendors, idols, plenty of music, shopping, and much else, that it made this day time evening, one that will likely happening many more times, this was just the first, out of many to likely follow suite.
