This year, My Little Pony served as an inspiration for the iconic Schiaparelli SS20 ready to wear collection launch!

In the center of the Place Vendome’s Hotel d’Évreux, Daniel Roseberry constructed a cage shaped like Elsa Schiaparelli’s famous Shocking perfume bottle and stocked it with exotic birds. Surrounding the perimeter of the room, were 10 iconic larger than life totems one of which featured 650 Basic Fun vintage ponies. Roseberry shared a collection with his sister when he was young.

Post punk band The Exploding Boy has had one of it's two lead singers and co-founder's Johan Sjöblom went on to create a solo project debuted SJÖBLOM. Who would go on to release a handful of content, including most recent being an EP release titled "A Victory Of Love". The EP containing 6-tracks, four of which being all new interpretations of songs, that were previously released on the release called "6". The two other tracks is one called "Seconds", with the other being the title track, a cover song of the Alphaville classic of the hit album "Forever Young" from back in 1984. What all of these tracks bring is a transformation of style, an electronic form with an original vision and version of his own, Johan Sjöblom see's fitting best.In short, this track is filled with passion and strength, having a catchy tone to go for it. It's melodic crossed with electronic, a mixture of genres that makes the material that more unique. Whereas the other tracks such as "Seconds", is more grounded and upbeat, but very mellow and dramatic at times. A more in-depth source of work, that makes the track very moving if not even groovy. The remaining tracks being the four are remixes, of numerous other tracks ranging from Ash Code, Luc Stargazer, Vive La Fete, and Shameless3030, each one of these tracks being visually interesting for the ears. Each one of these just has an interesting energy about them, being very much like they were out of the 80's era at times of hearing them. The foursome just captures a timing that once was but imagines it for a more modernized time instead. When it comes to it, SJÖBLOM's EP that is "A Victory Of Love", is just one that has a lot going for it, and one that will not b forgotten.

Horror trap/hip-hop act MADCLOCK has an all new album release out titled "The Volume Of Secrecy". Since it's mega party release, this act has got a few more shows in the works with a tour possibly to follow suite. Expect more to be said below.


1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

After almost a 10 year run with my previous acoustic rock duo, Two Stoopid Dogs split, I decided I still wanted to do music. A bunch of my friends were in the local hip hop scene and I started writing and performing hooks with my good friend Jake "YB" Brown. I discovered I had a natural talent for beat making and producing so I decided to put my own spin on hip hop and created MadClock.

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

MadClock is actually an acronym for "Me Against Deaths" clock because I felt that starting over musically after almost 10 years really cut down my time down on becoming something successful. I've also always been fascinated with time. You can't make it, return it, borrow it, manipulate it or get it back once it's gone. It always changes but it's always the same.

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

I'm based in the small college town of Edinboro, Pennsylvania. About 20 minutes from my location is Erie, PA which is really where the heart of the local scene thrives. It's such a diverse scene there Is something for everybody. I would suggest seeing artists from all genres to get an idea of what we're all about. For hip hop check out myself (obviously haha) YB and NARY, rock and roll check out Aria and The Voiceless or The Riffriders, for Alternative check out Wasted Info, Closing Remarks or The LEC, for Metal check out Slaughter in the Meridian, Gelatin Skeleton, or Amavaysa, acoustic or bluegrass check out Me & the Boy or JB & The Vigils. Punk check out Dysmorphia or Paper Matches. All these suggestions are also based on great Live performance as well which I hold to a high standard.

4. How would you describe your style?

My style is an insane mashup of hip hop and rock/metal. I've been told it's like Corey Taylor, NF and Chester Bennington had a secret unreleased collab project which is immensely flattering. Very dramatic and powerful production and relatable, real life lyrics. Very aggressive yet melodic, which I'm sure stems from extremely wide variety of influences. Everyone from Slipknot to Bob Dylan to Tech N9ne can be heard in my music. I make all my own beats so I in-cooperate live instruments that I play as well in my production like guitar and drums to give it a very authentic and raw sound. I'm labeling it DarkTrap and trying to push anti-mumble rap flows and tempos. Very clear diction so even when I'm fast I'm easy to listen to lyrically. I'm very particular about my live shows as well. Very intense, high octane, entertaining performances that engage my audience are an intragel part of my defining sound.

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

On August 30th, 2019 which also happened to be my 31st birthday, I released my second full length album entitled "The Volume of Secrecy". The first album "Time's Up" which was released April of last year was a lot angrier because I had a lot to get off my chest. This new album is much more diverse. Stylistically it's still my aggressive/melodic signature sound, but the content I believe is a lot more relatable. "The Volume of Secrecy" is a topical album based around things of secret, whether it be within ourselves or others or even our enemies. I also just released an extremely well put together music video on YouTube for the second single "Love, Kill, Repeat" ft. Faith Ann. Shot and directed by Jay Rastik and the script was written by me, guest appearing Aria Alexander and myself. It's a great story of the back and forth struggle of a working relationship and the sacrifices you sometimes have to make for the people you love and it is one of my most proud works to date. Expect a very unique and recognizable sound from my music. Even if you can't quite understand it's dynamic, I believe it's very easily relatable and easy to get into.

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

As a part of the first single off the new album, "Villain" is actually a 3 part series, Three songs that will entail 3 separate music videos as a part of a mini series. I'm very exited to finish writing Villain 2 and 3 and shooting the videos for the series. There is a major plot twist in the already super suspenseful story line so it's going to be something people are going to want to see more of.

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

I just finished my album release party mega show the night the album and the "Love, Kill, Repeat" Music Video dropped so I'm still looking to book a few more dates before the snow flies and after I regroup from a very productive summer.

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

With my recent success on international radio stations such as The Valley 89.5 FM Australia (currently #4 on Radio Indie Alliance charts) Sound Street Radio Japan (currently #4 as well) and UK Independent Radio (currently #12) I really want to do an international tour, it's definitely been a life long dream.

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?

I would expect any listener no matter your genre preference to appreciate my unique and real down to earth style. I'm far from these mainstream rappers. I don't have a gimmick or an angle. I'm The same person lyrically as I am in real life, who you see on stage is who your going to meet in the streets. My lyrics hit home and you can see my passion on the surface. Two piece punk act MIKITA have an album, EP, and single out and about, with so much else in-store! The band goes into talks about everything below!


1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

The two of us (Ben & Ben) have been playing as Mikita for just about 3 years now, although we had been in a different short lived and very uninspired project. After our other 2 members left from that project we pretty much just said  “Fuck it 2 pieces are trendy lets make something weird”.

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

Depending on what day you ask you’ll get a different answer but as of now, Mikita is a combination of the first letter of the first word spoken by each of the actors that portrayed the main cast of Reservoir Dogs when they were children.

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

We’re from Ocean County, NJ and if you haven't taken a look at the DIY scene in our state you’re seriously missing out, there isn’t a weekend that you won't find original music happening we are incredibly grateful to have the privilege to be members of this community. While I could write you a whole novel on bands you should be listening to from Jersey here's a few: Dumpweed, Fat Chance, America Part 2, Baron Praxis, Kissies, P.R.O.G.R.A.M, Fang Gang, and Entierralos NJDIY OR DIE!

4. How would you describe your style?

Angry, abrasive, noisy and cathartic as hell.

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

In the spring of 2018 we put out our debut EP “Locusts Are People” recorded the whole thing with one vocal mic in Ben’s house with no production knowledge it’s got 5 high energy punk jawns on it, more recently this past July we put out our first full length “DIE YUNG” we went to a good friend of ours studio and put some serious work into crafting an abrasive significantly heavier album that hopefully can make you feel anxious.

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

We’re currently in the writing process of our next release which is projected to come out in the 2nd quarter of 2020.

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

We have been extensively playing in NJ and PA for now trying to build as strong a base in our hame state as we can, we have plans for an east coast tour in the summer of 2020 although no dates released just yet.

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

Be louder, angrier, and give ourselves more head trauma during shows than we already are.

Alternative rock/reggae band BREWFISH had established back in 2011 and since then, have played shows, released content and the like for quite sometime. As of now, the band has taken the time to discuss themselves and the music that they create.


1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

Alex Kay started covering a couple songs over YouTube. After a couple of trials with several musicians, he had found drummer Zac Martin's and Andrew Valero. After many years of touring and recording, with Valero's departure, they have recently added Tim Frankeny as bass.

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

Hanging out, throwing back a couple brews, drinking beer like fish drink water, is how the name came around.

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

The band is based out of Long Beach California, the music scene is alive and well. There's many places to play and you can always find a show down there.

4. How would you describe your style?

It's a mix of a little bit of everything. We have elements of reggae, punk, ska, rock, hip hop all coming from the different styles we listen to and grew up with.

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

We just released our newest work called "The Prestige" earlier this year and are always working on new stuff.

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

Yes always in the works, when we get back home from this current tour we'll be hitting the lab.

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

We are currently on a west coast trip, and are expected to plan our next trip out in a few months next year.

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

Continue making music for our people and linking up with them through tours.

Who would have thought, that with an up-and-coming band like The Wilderness, whose current single turned video titled "Fall (Despite What You Do)", would given them such a buzz, only some to very few would undoubtedly know who these guys are. In other words, this band has had this single released since the late summer time of this year, that is 2019.

The accompanying video featuring an array of people working on it as it were, including camera personal Justin Holland, Céline Klein, Bobbi Shewchuk, and Karl Tombak. The editing was done by Justin Holland, with audio work being done by Terry Benn. Art and art direction was by Nicole Daniels with the featured people of the video, besides the band The Wilderness, being Mariah Horner and Dennis Clark.

Now how the video would play out and does, is that it focus’s upon this young couple, of a man and a women, the women is an artist, depicting her art through what else emotions. Using the anger and rage as her will, as it creates beauty within the madness, resulting in a delivered look and feel of realism and emotions of not just herself, but of the band as well. Both having a soul that is taken into account; showcasing the appeal of strength that is built by the isolation and connected to the honesty of the experiences of these people as a whole.

It just combines a lot of energy and emotions throughout. The video again showcasing this women whose art style is shown through her everyday life, and herself displaying said art, in a splash paint sort of way. The music moves in a more vivid way pretty much. It unfolds a story as it were, uplifting the music and words spoken, as the tone finds comfort, that makes it come full circle. The band’s portion of it, showcases them performing, whilst the characters showcase their own lives unfolding, with the art rush, lifestyle, coming together all at once more or less.

As it would have it, The Wilderness just have captured themselves visually and musically with this single and video. Having surely more singles and videos that embrace the listener with every release. You should expect the unexpected when it comes to a band like The Wilderness, their styling of indie rock is just tops. They are just one of those types of bands, whose time thus far, will just continue to grow and create something that many others will experience and get to learn from it.
