Extreme metalheads, Exhortation have released their debut EP "Oracle of Bones", been writing some new tunes, towards their debut full-length, as well as played some shows in between. The band took some time to briefly discuss who they are, what they have been up too, and what can be expected from them in the future.

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

Exhortation was formed in 2014 after our vocalist Jordan Rosser and drummer Isaac Goldsmith decided to form a new band using material from their pre-existing band. The band now includes Isaac Goldsmith,Jonathan West, Spencer Molina, Seth Anderson, and Jordan Rosser

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

The term Exhortation is a biblical termed used to describe the action of speaking over someone with power. We decided to use that name due to the positive message we hope to spread.

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

Exhortation is based out of Dallas Fort Worth in Texas. The local scene is very much in a state of recovery right now, with some bands pushing the boundary of local music. For example. Under oblivion!

4. How would you describe your style?

Melodic Pseudo Death Thrash!

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

As of now. We have only released our debut EP " Oracle of Bones". In the future you can expect a surplus of great metal coming from us.

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

Right now, we are working on our debut full length release that will be available later in 2016.

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

As of now. We are playing alot of local shows and are looking to spend this summer on the road!

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

Continue to make new music, gain support and grow as much as possible!

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

You can find our music on iTunes, Spotify, YouTube, Bandcamp and on our website, http://www.exhortationband.com/

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?

That we are doing what we love. And any support we get means the world to us!
