Heavy metal band KARNAGE THROUGH CROSSING have gone on to release a debut EP, debut album, few single's, with a new single out this fall, with a follow-up album in the works out in the next year. Shows have happened with more set, including a tour for the next summer! The band discusses all of these matters below.
1. Please tell us the history of your band and it's members.
Karnage Through Crossing formed out of the development of a failed band from 2018-2021 called Nova 1 Featuring ex members of Grunge bands, metalcore bands, founded by Rhyse Tremel and his partner, a lead guitarist who use to play during the first lineup of Riot City. Strained tensions from unsuccessful recruiting and member dropouts during Covid lead to the disintegration of the band in 2022, where Ashton Lal was training to become the next Drummer. With Rhyse and Ashton remaining in the band, Rhyse took his songs from Nova 1, recruited and trained a couple bass guitarists, and started recording with Ashton.
2. What's the origin of the bands name?
The band name originated from the intentions setup in Nova 1 fusing traditional heavy metal with different sub genres including Thrash Metal, Death Metal, and Hard Rock. This lead to the idea of representing this mission in a band name. After turning down different band names, but catching an interest in the abbreviation KTX from different nominees, Rhyse took a couple days before coming to the members to suggest Karnage Through Crossing.
3. Where is the band based out of and what is the music scene like there? Is there any local bands you could recommend?
We are based out of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Calgary is one of western Canada's main stops for a lot of large Metal and rock acts on tour. With a strong local scene including several groups who currently tour internationally, we see a diversity of genres and a whole new generation of young headbangers joining the live music scene. Bands from Calgary I would recommend include Hazzerd, Traveler, Riot City, and Osyron.
4. How would you describe your style?
Our music is a gritty and empowering, melodic crossover, of old school heavy metal, thrash, and Death.
5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?
Karnage Through Crossing Single Judgement Day (2023),
Karnage Through Crossing Debut EP (2023),
Karnage Through Crossing single Frozen Crown (2024),
Karnage Through Crossing Debut Album (2025),
Karnage Through Crossing single Chosen Paths (2025)
Fans can expect to hear gritty mid tone to screaming falsetto vocal ranges, catchy gritty guitar riffs, heavy pounding drums, technical competing bass lines, and high energy shredding guitar solos.
6. Do you have any new music in the works?
Our new single 'The Underground' releases on September 5th, this is the second single from our sophomore album that will be released in 2026.
7. How about playing shows and touring? Anything planned out?
We've been actively playing shows across western Canada over the past two years and plan to accomplish executing our first tour next summer.
8. What plans do you have for the future of the band?
The goal for this band is set out to achieve international touring across Europe, America, and South America, with every other possibility in mind, play our favorite festivals like loud as hell, 70k, bloodfest, and one day even Wacken! We are determined to create high energy empowering metal music that makes you feel more alive then anything you've heard before, hitting closer to our mark with every song we write.

10. What is it you'd like a listener to remember when listening to your music for the first time?
Remember our song writers live and bleed heavy metal! There's more then just a song you're hearing, this is a message, a statement! And a legacy we all share together, in the Pit, on our jackets, and in our lives. Come for the story, stay for the power!!
