October 2025

Very loud rock band LUNA DIVINER have taken the time to discuss with us their time together, how they came together, recent debut single release, and what the future holds.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or did it come out just like that?

So our band name is actually a reference to my favorite video game of all time, Kingdom Hearts.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

I grew up in a band playing similar music so it’s really what came natural. I wouldn’t say that we have just one genre as we like to experiment whenever possible.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Yes we were all in different bands at one point but part of the same local music scene.

4. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

Our band is mostly based out of Houston Texas where there is a well of local music. Sunrise and Ammunition, Kill the Process, pacmanthemovie to name a few.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Our music is inspired by life experiences that might be relatable.

6. What are your songs about? (What specific themes do they cover?)

Our debut single “Screens” is a sonic exploration of existentialism and the saddening obsessions we have with our phones.

7. Do you write your own songs? (Discuss the songwriting process in detail.)

Yes, I usually start with bass and drums, depending on the song. I don’t think the process has been the same for any two songs to be completely honest.

8. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

Last month we released our debut single. You can always expect driving rhythms and stacked vocal harmonies from us.

9. Do you have any new music in the works?

Yes we’re currently working with our buddy Jimmy Nieto at Southwing Audio on a few more songs.

10. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

At the moment we are not performing live. We’re focusing more on recording an online presence for now.

11. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

I’d like for us to eventually tour and continue to record music. Possibly some music videos as well.

12. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

So our music is available on all streaming platforms. I’d suggest Apple Music or tidal as they’re not as problematic as Spotify.

Heavy melody driven band STONE SEA have released an array of content, ranging from EPs, singles, and a couple of albums; a debut release and upcoming all new sophomore album out next year! The band also has plans to play some shows as well as evolving and creating as a unit. The band talks of all of this below.

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

Stone Sea started as a project in Brazil, born from a natural urge to express my emotions in a different way — a kind of transmutation, a metamorphosis that happens from the inside out. Later, I moved to Ireland, where the sound matured — blending heavy riffs, groove, and a touch of world music. Nowadays, we’re based in Spain, with Gonzalo Rubio on drums and Pino López on bass. Each phase and country reshaped the sound, but the core remained the same: emotion, heaviness, and groove. Gonzalo has been very active musically — he played for 13 years in a Nirvana tribute band called Buzz Lovers, performing internationally. Pino, on the other hand, comes from an extreme metal background and is also a DJ besides being our bassist.

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

I’ve always liked contrasts — even musically — so I wanted something that sounded cool but also represented how we feel and sound. “Stone” stands for the weight, the riffs, the earthy side. “Sea” represents the flow, melody, and introspection. Together they capture the balance I’m always chasing, in both music and life.

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

We’re based in Spain, around Málaga. The scene here is small but full of creativity bubbling under the surface. You’ll find great alternative rock acts with unique flavours if you look for them. I’d definitely recommend checking out Red Eye and Plastic Woods— both carry a special Andalusian heaviness in their sound.

4. How would you describe your style?

It’s heavy, melody-driven, and a bit unpredictable. Imagine Black Sabbath meeting Nirvana, with hints of world music and bluesy textures. I honestly hate describing our style — it never seems to cover all the songs (laughs).

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

We’ve released a few EPs and albums over the years, each one like a time capsule of where I was emotionally and geographically. From our upcoming album Ad Astra, the latest single “Age of Tears” is probably our heaviest and most introspective so far — it moves from fragile acoustic moments to cathartic, crushing riffs. The next single, “Left to Be,” brings a grungier and more optimistic vibe, closing out the year on a higher note.

Discography:

Origins (Brazil, 2015) — Album
Vaporizer (Ireland, 2017) — EP
Mankind Maze (Ireland, 2019) — EP
Oblivion, Sweet Inertia & Animal (Ireland, 2021–2025) — Singles
Ad Astra (Recorded in Ireland, released in Spain, 2026) — Album

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

Yes! We’re currently releasing Ad Astra single by single, with the full album planned for early 2026. At the same time, we’ve already started composing new songs that we hope to record very soon.

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

Absolutely. We’re playing a release show for “Left to Be” on December 12th at Louie Louie in Estepona, Málaga. We’re also planning more gigs around Spain and southern Europe, plus a live studio session that we’re really looking forward to.

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

To keep evolving and creating. The goal is to bring our songs to as many places as possible and connect with people who resonate with what we do. Composing is how I deal with emotions — so if our music resonates with others, it makes the whole craft worthwhile.

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

You can find us on all major streaming platforms — Spotify, Apple Music, Bandcamp, YouTube — wherever you like to listen. The best ways to support us are by buying our music or merch on Bandcamp or through our online store. All links can be found here: linktr.ee/stonesea . Of course, the best support of all is coming to a gig and meeting us in person!

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?

That feeling of weight and release at the same time. Our songs move between heaviness and melody, chaos and calm. If someone listens and feels a trance of some sort, that’s what we’re aiming for.

Colombian horror punks SALEM17TH takes that angst and attitude of punk rock and Halloween's spookiness and create horror punk that is truly their own. Two members of the band, Fabs Salem on guitar and vocals and Bruno Libonati on drums; discussed with us their formation together, what music releases such as singles are available currently, plans for more shows, including one in time for Halloween time, as well as what is set for the future! Check it out in the video below.

Indie pop folk act NON TALKERS gets together to talk about themselves, as far as music they have released, including an EP, and all new singles out soon! They go on to say much else, including plans to tour, playing shows, release more music, and do much more.

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

Non Talkers is a Portuguese–Belgian duo formed by Marco and Evita Brantner. We officially started the project in 2019, but our musical connection began years before that. We both shared a passion for emotional storytelling and melody, so forming a band together felt like a natural step. Since then, we’ve grown from small acoustic shows to playing theaters and festivals across Europe, building a sound that blends folk, pop, and indie influences.

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

The name Non Talkers reflects the idea that sometimes emotions speak louder than words. Music has always been our way of expressing what can’t easily be said, the unspoken feelings, the quiet thoughts, the things that live between silence and sound.

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

We’re based in Viana do Castelo, in the north of Portugal, a beautiful coastal town with a calm but growing creative scene. It’s not a big city, so the local music scene is quite small, but there’s a lot of raw talent around. We don’t follow any specific local acts closely, but we really admire how many independent artists in Portugal are carving their own paths and developing unique sounds.

4. How would you describe your style?

We’d describe our style as pop-folk with an indie soul. Our songs mix warm harmonies, acoustic textures and emotional storytelling, often blending the intimacy of folk with the energy and dynamics of pop and rock. At the heart of it, our music is about connection, turning personal stories into something universal that people can truly feel.

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

So far, we’ve released the EP Pendulum of Time with three songs, followed by our full-length album Roots, which includes fourteen tracks that really define our sound and storytelling. We also released the Christmas single Make Things Right, and our latest single Weight of Doubt, which marks the beginning of a new chapter for us.

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

Yes, we do! We’ll be releasing several new singles over the next few months while continuing our Weight of Doubt tour. Each release will show a different side of who we are as artists, so it’s an exciting time with lots of new music on the way.

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

Yes, we’re currently touring with our Weight of Doubt tour, which runs throughout 2025 and into 2026. It started in Portugal with a series of sold-out acoustic shows, and now we’re expanding into bigger venues and new countries across Europe. It’s a really special tour for us because it reflects our evolution, both musically and emotionally, and it’s giving us the chance to connect with audiences in a deeper way.

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

Our main goal for the future is to keep growing organically, reaching more people while staying true to who we are. We want to take our music to new countries, play bigger stages, and keep releasing songs that mean something both to us and to our listeners. At the same time, we want to build a long-lasting connection with our audience, not just through music, but through the stories and emotions we share along the way.

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

You can listen to Non Talkers on all major streaming platforms, Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, Deezer, and Amazon Music. If you’d like to support us directly, you can find our merch and physical releases (including vinyl and CDs) on our official website nontalkers.com. That’s also where you’ll find all the latest tour dates and updates.

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?

We’d love for listeners to remember how the music made them feel. More than anything, we want our songs to create a sense of connection, to remind people that they’re not alone in what they feel or go through. If a melody, a lyric, or even a single moment in a song stays with them after listening, then we’ve done what we set out to do.

Energetic yet dark and moody act FAMOUS STRANGERS claim that their genre of choice is hard to pin down. But they like it that way, and with that they have already released a few singles thus far, with them set to release their debut album come next year! The band discusses how they came together, the origins of their namesake, and what the future holds.

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members

The band came together after years of crossing paths in the Edmonton music scene. We’ve all known each other for decades, playing in different bands and sharing stages. It started with Jeff and Beej writing music post-2014 after their previous project This Is War. Braden joined through mutual connections, and for a while the three of them worked on an instrumental project. That eventually evolved into a classic rock cover band during COVID. One day Amanda came in just to jam and sing with them for fun, but something clicked. The chemistry was undeniable and soon we were writing originals together. Famous Strangers was born and it’s been nonstop ever since.

2. What is the origin of the band's name?

Jeff came up with it while driving. He was listening to the song Perfect Strangers on the radio and happened to glance over at a restaurant called Famous Donair. Something about those two words stuck, and boom ,  Famous Strangers was born. It felt right immediately.

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

We’re based in Sherwood Park, Alberta, just east of Edmonton. The scene out here is unreal. It’s like a big extended family. There’s a mix of metalheads, punk kids, rock lifers, and even some new-gen all-ages acts that are keeping the scene alive. We’re proud of the diversity and support in this community. Some local bands we’d recommend are On Elliptic, Quietest, Fem Boy, and Arts Major. That barely scratches the surface, we could go on for hours about the talent out here.

4. How would you describe your style?

Moody and haunting with big grooves and high energy. There’s definitely a dark undercurrent to a lot of what we do, but it’s wrapped in melody and vintage tones. We’re hard to pin down ,  and we like it that way.

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

We’ve released a few singles so far, including Deep Star and LSC, along with music videos on YouTube and streaming platforms. Our sound leans into emotional storytelling, dark grooves, and vintage tones with modern weight. You can expect to be taken on a journey ,  every track is its own little world.

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

Absolutely. We’ll be recording in early winter or late fall with the goal of releasing our debut record in the spring of 2026. We’ve got a lot more material beyond that too. Some of it has already taken shape, and the rest is in the lab being fine-tuned.

7. How about playing shows and touring? Have anything planned out?

We’ve got a bunch of shows lined up, including festival slots, benefit events, and a tour in November with Shackled to the Throne. You can always find our upcoming dates and show info on our website. We’re hungry to play ,  we’ll hit the road any chance we get.

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

Total world domination, of course. We want to play every country, connect with as many people as we can, and keep making art that resonates. Maybe even start a love cult. Who knows.

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

Head over to www.famousstrangersband.com. Everything is there ,  streaming links, music videos, merch, show announcements. You can also grab merch at our shows, which is honestly the best way. That in-person support means everything.

10. What is it you'd like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?

We want our music to light something up inside you. Whether it inspires you to write something yourself, gives you a moment of comfort, or reminds you who you are ,  that’s the goal. We want our songs to become part of your memories, something you carry with you and return to when you need it most.

Ten long years have come and gone since last speaking and first speaking with metal go getters DESIGN THE SKYLINE! Since then, the band has had their mishaps, music releases, and in recent time, plans towards all new music and a new future! The band got together to talk about all of this with us below!

1. It's been 10 long years since we last spoke, how much has changed within the band, what has been released material wise, what is going on as of right now?

The biggest change is stability and focus. We've matured into an entity dedicated to sound evolution and creative control. Material-wise, we have been in active, continuous operation, releasing the singles Rebirth (2015), Lotus (2016), and In Dreams (2018). Right now, we are in the studio preparing a massive new album, and we have just digitally released our complete archives—the Synthetic Cities EP and Galactical Celebration demos—to solidify the full catalog history.

2. You guys have had various break up points throughout your career as Design The Skyline, why so many up's and down's, and is the band back for good this time?

The reality is, DTS never broke up. We’ve been an active, continuous project since our inception; what looked like "breakup points" were actually necessary periods of creative triage and managerial restructuring. I assumed managerial and creative control early on to ensure the band's continuity. Even during the post-2018 public slowdown, we were diligently working behind the scenes, licensing our catalog (Wax Vessel, 2021) and completely redesigning our visual identity (2024). The project is fully stable and focused on recording and live performance.

3. Way back when you were a 7 piece then moved down to a 4 piece, what is the count now?

The official, current core writing team is composed of three dedicated members (myself, Matti Hoffman, and Shota Nishimura), and we have a rotating network of crucial instrumental collaborators. Julian Reckless is a valued original founding member and key creative collaborator who is central to our songwriting vision, but he is currently not a public-facing member. We are currently auditioning for a permanent drummer, but the creative vision is locked in.

4. You were working on your sophomore album "Rebirth" was that album ever released?

The Rebirth album project was originally planned, but was strategically restructured into a set of successful single releases: "Rebirth" (2015), "Lotus" (2016), and "In Dreams" (2018). The purpose of this restructure was to establish the band's independent control and continuous musical direction. The remaining tracks from that era, combined with a multitude of new material, are now being finalized for the upcoming second album, which will be anchored by the "Bloodlust" single, releasing October 31st.

5. The single for "Rebirth" was released, as well as other songs such as "Lotus" and "In Dreams", any other "newer" material been released since then?

Those three singles (2015, 2016, 2018) were released during a period of continuous internal production. While we did not have further public releases until now, that time was spent actively evolving our sound and completing a multi-year rebranding process behind the scenes. We are now releasing the single "Bloodlust" on October 31st, which is our first finished track since 2018. We were never inactive; we were simply building the foundation for this next massive album.

6. Can you tell me about the two recent releases titled "Synthetic Cities" and "Galactrical Celebration", are these EP releases or demos or a mini album combined of the two?

They are historical archival releases being released digitally for the first time. The Synthetic Cities EP is the originally unreleased, highly complex work from the post-Nevaeh era, and the Galactical Celebration Demo contains the true 2008 origins of the project, including tracks from the Extra Large Kids era. They serve as a roadmap of our entire creative history.

7. The band was once called Extra Large Kids, why the name change, and are there any hidden easter eggs to that namesake in future content?

The change was about moving from high school friends to a serious, professional mission. Extra Large Kids was the starting point, and Design The Skyline™ became the mission: setting our own limits and creating our own vision. We are constantly referencing that initial spark. Fans will hear elements from the earliest demo tracks infused into the new album. The raw, founding influences—including that early grind/experimental sound—are a huge part of what drives us to push creative boundaries and innovate as a brand today.

8. You mentioned about the future sound of the band's music and it will be a fusion of Deathcore, Industrial, and Experimental sounds; elaborate for us?

The new material is a complex fusion that refuses simple labels. We are building our sound upon a wide range of styles, from industrial, shoegaze, pop, rock and J-Rock to deathcore, melodic death metal, djent, and experimental grind. This creative evolution is central to the DTS core ideals of uniqueness and passion, proving our continuous growth as musicians and humans.

9. Will your debut album "Nevaeh" receive a re-release in any shape of format?

We are incredibly proud of the Nevaeh album and always want it available for fans. However, those master recordings, the original YouTube version of Surrounded by Silence, and Deathgaze are controlled by our former label, Victory Records. While we may consider re-recording those tracks in the future, for now, the original masters remain available on streaming platforms.

10. What about the band's logo, will you be sticking to using the classic format or has it changed altogether?

The logo has gone through an intense, multi-year rebranding process. I personally handled the direction and design, and the goal was a complete overhaul to align with our complex new sound. We are honoring the legacy of the original logo (which I sketched a rough draft of), but the current visuals are entirely new. I took a lot of inspiration from bold, iconic symbols (like Humanity’s Last Breath's icon and religious imagery) to transform the logo from a simple stylized word mark. The core icon now consolidates the DTS acronym into an imposing, legible, and bold symbol that represents our intensity, structure, and professionalism. My goal was to create an icon that serves as the visual representation of our entire creative vision—that DTS is more than just a band, but a set of ideals and a way of life. The new branding is designed for the next era of Design The Skyline™; it is versatile, easily recognizable, and can be used consistently across our varied platforms and merchandise, ensuring our visual identity remains strong and cohesive as we continue to evolve.

11. Would you say that the meaning behind the band's name Design the Skyline has changed since its change from Extra Large Kids to Design The Skyline? And how does one design the skyline? You must use a ton of stars!

The meaning has deepened, but the core intention is the same. It was always about exceeding limits. Today, Design The Skyline™ is about creative autonomy: designing the skyline means building our own musical world without limitations, drawing from a full spectrum of influences to create something unique.

12. Can we expect to see anymore archival content like even old merch designs making a comeback or anything of the sort?

We would love to re-print our classic, out-of-production merch designs. However, the legal rights for much of that older material are complex, as those assets were created during our time with our former label, Victory Records. We are actively looking into reclaiming those rights so that those designs can be released again. In the meantime, we are deep into the process of creating a brand new line of merchandise that utilizes our new aesthetic and branding. Our focus right now is on that new merch, the Bloodlust single, and upcoming album.

13. Whereabouts can we find the band online as far as social media, hear your music, buy stuff etc.\

The official hub for the Design The Skyline™ project is our HyperFollow link. This is the exclusive source for all music, official news, and future merchandise: hyperfollow.com/DesignTheSkyline.

14. What are the plans for now into this next year that is 2026?

Our immediate plan is the release of the "Bloodlust" single on October 31st, which is the anchor for the new album rollout. We plan to complete the full sophomore album in early 2026. This is a full-scale offensive: we are actively working on merchandise, video content, photo shoots, and behind-the-scenes footage to support the new music. We are committed to a complete visual and audio experience leading up to our live performance cycle.

15. Would you like to say or want to add on anything else to the fans reading this?

Thank you for the incredible loyalty from the beginning. Your support during this period of transition and evolution means everything to us. Our goal has always been evolving DTS and setting the stage for future growth. The new music is a direct reflection of the challenges and resilience we’ve faced, pushing our creative and technical boundaries. We pour our soul and diverse influences into our writing, crafting vibrant stories of loss, redemption, and sacrifice. My hope is to utilize DTS as a beacon of creative inspiration and hope, giving every listener intrigue, connection, and something that genuinely helps them through the struggles of life. The official DTS is here to stay, and we can’t wait to share this next chapter with you all.

16. (New Question expanding on question 8): Beyond genre tags, can you elaborate on the creative philosophy and lyrical themes that fuel Design The Skyline’s ongoing evolution, especially after the period of internal restructuring?

Our creative mission is to utilize all these influences—from industrial, shoegaze, and J-Rock to deathcore, djent, and melodic death metal—to forge a sound that is uniquely our own. We don't just evolve the music; we evolve personally and incorporate new styles from art, pop culture, and creative inspiration. Lyrically, I strive to craft immersive, resonant stories. We explore creative thematic backdrops, from dystopian worlds and gothic horror to celestial cosmic landscapes, tackling themes of loss, sacrifice, and existence. The goal of Design The Skyline™ is to be a beacon of inspiration and creative hope, giving listeners intrigue, connection, and something that genuinely helps them through the struggles of life.

Exactly 40 years to the day since it was first released, Parlophone Records are pleased to announce a brand new, beautifully packaged, limited collectors 2LP colour vinyl edition of IRON MAIDEN’s classic album LIVE AFTER DEATH.

Featuring the original revered gatefold sleeve artwork, the album comes with two 140g vinyls (one in blue, the other in yellow) featuring the 2015 audio remastering. The package also includes a replica 24 page World Slavery Tour programme, bringing back to life the original tour programme for new generations.

Additionally the vinyl features a replica tour pass and a glossy 12 page booklet, which contains the original eight page booklet alongside an exclusive and brand new essay entitled Rime And Punishment: Celebrating 40 Years Of Live After Death, where Iron Maiden fan club editor Alexander Milas interviews Steve Harris, Nicko McBrain, Rod Smallwood and acclaimed illustrator Derek Riggs about the legendary album.

As Steve Harris explains of the time, “We were touring our arses off. It was literally just, ‘record, tour, record, tour’ – we didn’t stop. Rod was cracking the old whip, and that was the right thing to do. I mean, we were totally up for it, it’s not like we were doing stuff that we didn’t want to do. You think you’re invincible – ‘Yeah, we’ll take that on, no problem.’ That’s the way to crack it. It’s the only way for a band like us because we had no radio play whatsoever back then.”

Widely acclaimed as not just the greatest heavy metal live album of all time, but one of the most iconic live releases in any musical genre, LIVE AFTER DEATH was recorded mostly during the four nights that Maiden played at Los Angeles’ Long Beach Arena in March 1985. The final side of the double album was recorded during the four nights the band played at Hammersmith Odeon in October 1984.

Both sets of concerts were part of the ground-breaking World Slavery Tour, in support of the band’s 1984 album Powerslave, which started in Poland and featured 187 concerts across 331 days. The tour firmly established Iron Maiden as one of the most exciting live bands on the planet, a reputation that they carry to this day.

International cinematic rock band Edge of Paradise have released their powerful reimagining of the iconic Requiem for a Dream theme. Known for fusing soaring vocals, heavy riffs, and immersive soundscapes, the band takes the haunting score into new depths, transforming it into a massive, larger-than-life experience that bridges the worlds of film and metal.

Following the success of their latest album Prophecy (Napalm), the band continues to expand their multimedia universe, accompanying this powerful composition with a striking visual counterpart, a music video that immerses viewers in Edge of Paradise’s signature fusion of sound, story, and atmosphere.

Watch it here: https://youtu.be/GiGgjmWl3Zw?si=BOFld7JYox6FgNtZ

"This theme has always resonated deep within and inspired me to see how a simple melody can open entire worlds” says vocalist Margarita Monet. “With our version we wanted to amplify that emotion, the darkness, the light, and everything in between, and we're excited to experience it with you through our dimension, on the stages and beyond.”

The artwork created by Margarita was unveiled at the NoHo CineFest in Hollywood, where she received the Outstanding Artist Award for her visual work and storytelling. Her graphic novel’s narrative extends Edge of Paradise’s cinematic universe, seamlessly connecting the band’s music, imagery, and philosophy through art. Additionally, the band’s song “The Unknown” will be featured in the upcoming feature film The Complete Course of Howard French, directed by Gustavo Sampaio,  expanding their presence across both the music and film landscapes.

Margarita adds: “What also makes this so special to me is how everything I love intertwines — making the art, the music, the visuals. From painting the cover and crafting the crown to shaping the story through dance and direction, every moment reflects a piece of my soul.”

Hard rock powerhouse SAINT ASONIA have unleashed their electrifying take on the Black Sabbath classic “Paranoid,” paying tribute to the legendary Ozzy Osbourne and honoring the song that helped lay the foundation for heavy metal. The cover arrives alongside an official visualizer, available below.

Adam Gontier comments on the cover:

"We actually recorded this cover of Sabbath years ago while we were recording the 'Extrovert' EP. Obviously, it didn’t end up on the EP, and when we recently lost Ozzy, we all talked, and decided now was the time to put it out there. It’s just our own little tribute to the band and the man who changed the landscape of heavy music forever and opened the door for bands like us. We love you Oz."
