Force Of Nature Productions wants you to immerse yourself in a twisted tale of the comic book world of what they call "Fallen Saints: Tales of Blaze City". This theatrical walk through experience is not what you would think as a "haunted house" attraction, but set around the Halloween season.
This walk through experience immerses you in this whole other world decked only in black and white. Filled with various characters, some of which aren't aware of one another, as the story has elements that change but connect in various formats. The way they put it, Blaze City is a nasty place, even to live there, within the best of times. Such characters like "Glow-Face" Lombardi the leader of the city's underbelly, will do anything to make a quick dollar. Whereas Augustina has her own dark side of sorts, with other characters like Bruno the Fantastical and Redmond have other impulses of darkness.
But there is something off and rather oddly happening with Blaze City, its citizens, characters, and very essence is being taken away, drained, by its creator known as "The Illustrator", them being in no control of these so called characters, getting help from others, what is going on behind Blaze City, will it end up in our real world and corrupt us next?
Only way to find out is to attend a show, and with this production going on for ten years now, various stories have been told. This latest installment showcased during this array of conventions that was one known as Midsummer Scream, showed off an expectation of what if. This production happening this fall, is a continuation of that story, with more elements and audience participation unlike any other really.
Taking place only Fridays and Saturday evenings, with three performances a night, 8PM, 9PM, and 10PM, each show is lead by three different character guides, each performance having a unique story and ending, to take part in maybe one if not all three performances that night, to get the full on experience. Each show is limited to 20 guests, of all ages, tickets are $25 per person. Please be aware that this show experience involves standing, walking, and interactive crowd participation; so wear comfy shoes and attire. Parking is tiresome so ride sharing is better suited.
If interested the performance is held in Los Angeles County in the city of North Hollywood at the Sawyer’s Playhouse. Having been written by Tyler Bianchi and directed by Sabastian Munoz, with talents being featured by; Chris Brosnan, Dina Cataldi, Ron Gabaldon, Marlo Johnson, Klaire Johnson, Teresa Jusino, Michael Guthrie Minty, Tricia Guthrie Minty, Michelle Miyamoto-Galván, Aisling Kesinger, Xander Kesinger, Ash Muñoz, Melissa Muñoz, Sebastian Muñoz, William Lopez Muñoz, Carly Nahin, Matthew Scheel, Roger Thomsen, Heather Vazquez, and Anne Westcott-Navarrette, the music and SFX done by Tricia Guthrie Minty, lights and sound by Matthew Scheel, with set design by Jerry Chappel and Redetha Deason. Props done by Michelle Miyamoto-Galvan, costumea and make-up designer Melissa Munozwith. This creative team is surely to put an "interest" in you.
In short, it’s a rather interesting take of a Halloween festive event. It has some elements of scariness, with humor, tragedy, and creativeness all thrown into together. It makes it fun and again very interesting. It’s one of those events you should give a try at at least once.
With the ways and story telling of the infamous "Tales of Blaze City". The story of morbid curiosity and oddly foreboding intensity, that drives you mad with positivity, if not emotional contempt.
