During the Worlds Collide Tour, Within Temptation played two sold-out shows in their home country at Ziggo Dome. These shows were captured for posterity and now everyone around the world has the chance to immerse themselves in one of the most iconic performances the band has ever done in their home country.

Few collaborations in Within Temptation’s career have ignited as much anticipation as their co-headlining tour with Evanescence did, especially having being postponed four times due to COVID.
 
As soon as the world reopened in 2022, the Worlds Collide Tour finally took place. Over the course of over four weeks, the tour traversed 17 cities across Europe and the UK, delivering a total of 19 performances.

For this tour, Within Temptation and Evanescence saw an amazing amount of over 200,000 tickets sold, 7703 km’s traveled, eight tour buses serving as mobile homes for the artists and crew, twelve trailers loaded with the gear to fuel the spectacle, and a dedicated team of over 80 experienced individuals whose tireless efforts ensured that every aspect of the tour ran seamlessly.

After close to a decade of magical adventures, Discovery Family announced today that the MY LITTLE PONY: FRIENDSHIP IS MAGIC series will embark on its final 26-episode ninth season on Saturday, April 6 at 11:30a/10:30c. New episodes of the Allspark Animation produced animated series will also stream live and on demand on Discovery Family GO, the network’s TV Everywhere app.

In the back-to-back season premiere titled "The Beginning of the End," Princess Celestia and Princess Luna decide to retire and hand off the ruling of Equestria to Twilight Sparkle and her friends, which sends Twilight into a tailspin of self-doubt. Meanwhile, an ancient villain bands together a legion of nefarious characters to conquer all of Equestria, challenging Twilight Sparkle and the rest of the Mane 6 to step in and save the day.

Over the years, fans have followed the Mane 6 through countless songs and adventures and have met many friends along the way. Leading up to the season nine premiere, Discovery Family celebrates all things MY LITTLE PONY with a week-long PONY PALOOZA takeover celebration starting bright and early at 6a/5c on Saturday, March 30 with a marathon of EQUESTRIA GIRLS specials leading up to the world premiere of EQUESTRIA GIRLS: SPRING BREAKDOWN at 11:30a/10:30c. Eagle Vision will release Evanescence, Synthesis Live on DVD+CD, Blu-Ray+CD and Digital Formats.

Recorded late last Autumn during the band’s critically-acclaimed Synthesis tour, the concert was captured in state-of-the-art 4K by Director P.R. Brown & produced by Craig Ziogas/CTGS Productions.

The songs span Evanescence’s 20 year history to now, reinvented with full orchestra over a deep electronic landscape. Synthesis is a soulful and sweepingly grandiose event to witness live. Seated at the piano, Amy Lee opens the set with a single note that builds into the instrumental Overture, seamlessly leading into the crushing wave that is Never Go Back. The film "Scream for Me Sarajevo" will be released beginning May 10 in select theaters across the US and Canada, it was announced today by CineLife Entertainment, the event cinema division of Spotlight Cinema Networks, and Eagle Rock Entertainment, a producer and distributor of music films.

"Scream for Me Sarajevo" is the astonishing true story of one of the most unlikely rock concerts ever staged, in a city under siege with mortars and grenades raining down on civilians, killing indiscriminately. The 1994 concert features global rock star Bruce Dickinson and his band Skunkworks who performed in the midst of the siege of Sarajevo. This is a film about extraordinary people defying the horrors of war, and the musicians who risked their lives to play a show for them.

Featuring footage from the historic gig, the film also features concertgoers who made it to the show despite the atrocities going on around them in the capital city of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Interviews with the band, crew and security bring home the grim reality of the dangerous and often barbaric conditions surrounding the event.

"We weren’t protected, there was no plan and the bullets were real, but fuck it, we went anyway" said Dickinson in his just published best-selling autobiography What Does This Button Do? "The gig was immense, intense, and probably the biggest show in the world at that moment for the audience and for us. That the world didn’t really know didn’t matter. It changed the way I viewed life, death and other human beings."

In addition to the feature film, a specially recorded interview with Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson will be included as exclusive theatrical-only content in participating theaters.

On May 25th, Snow Patrol will return with "Wildness", their first album in seven years, which finds the band searching for clarity, connection, and meaning, while staying true to the melodic songwriting prowess that brought them to prominence. "Wildness" taps into something raw and primitive, and lead-singer and songwriter Gary Lightbody says of the album: "There are many types of wildness, but I think it can be distilled into two: the wildness of the modern age, all it’s confusion, illogic and alienation and a more ancient wildness. Something primal, alive and beautiful that speaks to our true connectivity, our passion, our love, our communion with nature and each other. This is the kind of wildness the album is centered around. The loss of it. Trying to reconnect with it. To remember it."

Since their 1998 debut, "Songs for Polarbears", Snow Patrol have racked up an impressive number of critical and commercial accolades, including 15 million global album sales, 1+ billion global track streams, 5 UK Platinum Albums, and are Grammy and Mercury Music Prize nominated. After their Fallen Empires tour ended in 2012, band members —which also include multi-instrumentalist Johnny McDaid, guitarist Nathan Connolly, bassist Paul Wilson, and drummer Jonny Quinn — decided to take a step back from the band, and focus on their own projects. Gary Lightbody continued his work with his Tired Pony side project with members of Belle and Sebastian, R.E.M, Reindeer Section and Fresh Young Fellows and moved to Los Angeles to begin writing songs for movies (including "This Is How You Walk On" for 2017’s Gifted), and doing a number of high-profile co-writes with Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift and One Direction. Taking this extended break from Snow Patrol proved to be a source of inspiration, and writing songs that were not pulled directly from his own psyche helped heal what Lightbody considered to be not so much writer’s block as life block.

It’s in this search for clarity and connection that these songs were written and refined. "I think it’s the first record I’ve ever written that I haven’t just asked a bunch of questions. I actually tried to figure out why I was unhappy, why I feel out of place, why I’m afraid," says Lightbody. "There’s nothing really to protect myself for-- it’s all in the album. I want to remember." This impulse was partially inspired by Lightbody’s father, who is suffering from dementia. "I think the album is defined by memory in a lot of ways," says Lightbody, "including my father’s loss of memory."

The songs are surefooted, displaying a newfound sense of self and purpose, and the rest of the band members rose magnificently to the occasion. The album is produced once more by the great Jacknife Lee, Snow Patrol’s longtime producer and collaborator. "Life on Earth" opens the album with its mission statement, "this is something else, this is something else." "Heal Me" feels like an ancient hymn: "Finally, after way too many years of smashing my body to bits with booze, I met someone who helped me find my way back to health and clarity," says Lightbody. "This song is about her, that journey and is dedicated to her." "Empress," written for Lightbody’s goddaughters, is fierce and heartfelt, with runaway drums and keen words of wisdom. "What If This Is All The Love You Ever Get?" is a heartstring-puller, posing the question nobody wants to ask. The last track, "Life and Death," is a rumination, and a human story of love and forgiveness— mostly self-forgiveness for Lightbody, demonstrating that perhaps everyone ought to take this long between albums to reflect long and hard before they write.

"Seamus Heaney, my favorite poet of all time, said at 71 that he was only discovering what some of his poetry means, and this is coming from a Nobel Prize-winning poet. It’s a great testament to inspiration," says Lightbody. "Sometimes it takes you five years to write the thing. Like now. And you know for sure when you finish an album like that, where you’ve poured over every detail and put every atom of yourself into it, everything makes sense and I bet you I’m never not proud of this record."

Throughout history, the San Francisco Bay Area has long been deemed as the epicenter for thrash metal, whereas Los Angeles has invariably been considered the stomping ground for glam and hair metal. True, San Francisco has birthed many exceptional thrash bands since the early '80s, but the fact remains - Los Angeles is the rightful birthplace of three of the "Big 4" thrash bands and is the breeding grounds for unconventional thrash/punk-metal bands. From legendary thrash icons Metallica, Slayer, and Megadeth, to punk/metal renegades Suicidal Tendencies and combative thrash stalwarts Dark Angel and Hirax, they all generated from this pretentious, megalopolis hellhole we call Los Angeles.

For over a decade at the world’s largest outdoor metal festival Wacken Open Air, independent metal bands from around the globe have been performing in front of thousands and competing against one another for one to be crowned champion of the world along with winning multiple prizes (prizes info). For the second year, Wacken Metal Battle USA is returning to America and will be hosting qualifying rounds in select cities across the nation. The national champion of those battles will perform at the 2018 festival taking place from August 2nd – 4th in Wacken, Germany.

The excitement around My Little Pony continues throughout the year! Since the release of the My Little Pony Movie this past fall in October, with the Bluray, DVD, and digital copies out this holiday and New Year, the spin off series My Little Pony Equestria Girls is continuing with an all new YouTube series! The series having premiered on November 17th 2017 with it's official trailer HERE and the first episode HERE will launch new episodes every Friday! In partnership with Laura Shuffman, the official My Little Pony: Equestria Girls celebrity stylist, Hasbro revamped the dolls’ looks from the previous collection, adding new, highly fashionable outfits for all of the Mane 7! The look of these new fashion dolls inspired the look of the characters seen in the upcoming My Little Pony: Equestria Girls series. The new Equestria Girls fashion dolls line will be available for purchase in the U.S. in December 2017 and globally beginning in January 2018.

More great news, Hasbro is excited to announce a new partnership with popular YouTube influencer and up & coming singer, Angelic. In addition to the opening theme song of the new digital series, Angelic will lend her voice to, “Equestria Girls Forever,” an original, dance-pop track that pays tribute to the brand’s core message of friendship and celebrates the special bond shared between best friends. “Equestria Girls Forever” is available TODAY on all digital service providers in both English and Spanish and the official music video will launch on Hasbro’s YouTube channel, November 24th.

Monster High's re-telling and re-branding with "Monster High Welcome to Monster High An Origin Story", has released two films, that film and the follow-up film "Electrified". After those films a YouTube series would continue the film series titled "Monster High Adventures of the Ghoul Squad". The all new 11 minute episodes would showcase your favorite guys and ghouls in all new mystery adventures, bringing back old and new ghouls alike. Now an all new film will be released in this YouTube series, titled "Monster High Adventures of the Ghoul Squad: Howliday Edition Movie". The film will air on television sets across the world on the TV channel and network Nickelodeon a 12PM on Sunday October 29th 2017! Check out the trailer HERE.

Death Metallers Reign of Vengeance announce their new EP The Final Aeon For All Humans.

The Final Aeon For All Humans is an EP that is both musically and lyrically styled to narrate through a "fictional" depiction of class warfare if it were to transpire in our modern world. This Ep takes a dual perspective lyrically including that of the common man as well as the Occultist Elite. This EP is best listened to in its entirety from start to finish, playing through like a blood soaked and very brutal musical. This album is loaded with true and mysterious-esoteric theology, American "conspiracy theories", revelation interpretations, and (most importantly)- gore, blood, brutality, and violence.
