Eagle Vision will release Evanescence, Synthesis Live on DVD+CD, Blu-Ray+CD and Digital Formats.

Recorded late last Autumn during the band’s critically-acclaimed Synthesis tour, the concert was captured in state-of-the-art 4K by Director P.R. Brown & produced by Craig Ziogas/CTGS Productions.

The songs span Evanescence’s 20 year history to now, reinvented with full orchestra over a deep electronic landscape. Synthesis is a soulful and sweepingly grandiose event to witness live. Seated at the piano, Amy Lee opens the set with a single note that builds into the instrumental Overture, seamlessly leading into the crushing wave that is Never Go Back. Bring Me To Life, the anthem that brought most people to discover Evanescence in the first place, reaches a new level of power and emotion with a pounding, electric heartbeat and soaring orchestral accompaniment, while songs like My Immortal, Lithium and Lost In Paradise feel like heartbreaking scenes from a beautiful, timeless film.

Amy Lee’s incredible vocal range and the group’s expressive, multi-layered music naturally lends itself to orchestral accompaniment, shining a light on the singular beauty of the arrangements by composer David Campbell and conducted by Susie Seiter -creating a truly dynamic, cinematic sound. Lee has called this, “a passion project”, which undoubtedly shines through. The sense of occasion is not lost on the band or audience alike in this unique and highly emotive show.

Evanescence recently brought their Synthesis live tour around the world, delivering highly-acclaimed performances throughout Europe, North America and Australia. This summer, the band teamed with violinist Lindsey Stirling on a tour of North American amphitheatres, one of Live Nation’s Top 10 tours of the summer.

Transcendent, two-time GRAMMY® Award-winning rock band Evanescence have released the official music video for their latest single "Hi-Lo", featuring a virtuosic violin solo by acclaimed Billboard Award-winning electronic violinist Lindsey Stirling. 

Off the latest Evanescence album "Synthesis", "Hi-Lo" marks the first time front woman Amy Lee and Stirling have collaborated on a track together, and features the full band backed by an orchestra and Lee’s signature powerhouse vocals. Directed by P.R. Brown, the video includes live performance footage from Evanescence’s critically acclaimed Synthesis tour along with orchestra footage. Stirling makes a cameo to deliver her signature blend of dance moves while performing a powerful electronic violin solo. The song was written by Amy Lee and Will Hunt and arranged by David Campbell.

Evanescence has announced a new headlining tour for the summer, across the U.S. Support will be coming from Lindsey Stirling!

"This is the first time, that we have ever played an album, we have not released live" said Amy Lee of Evanescence. The act known best for the track "Bring Me to Life", taken from their 2003 first debut album "Fallen". The band whose recent announcement of their return to the stage, and music scene as a whole, set the buzz a foot, as fans and more alike, got word, taken it into account about the band possibly releasing new material, let alone tour. Hence, why we are here currently, with all of this coming full circle, as Evanescence would indeed make a return to the stage, in the form a new tour, with all new material.

 In fact, this whole set up centers around their fourth full-length album, the album including reworked versions of the band's previous material, worked with orchestral arrangements and electronica musical elements as well. But best of all, two all new songs would be included in this release titled "Synthesis". Thus having the band embark on the "Synthesis Tour", visiting cities across the U.S. and Canada until December of 2017.

The second night taking place in of all places best, Los Angeles, California! At one of the most vivid yet unique venues around LA County, The Greek Theater. An outdoor theater venue, where the stage's set up goes at an angle, for the seating arrangement, with the stage setting be at the far end, as everyone faces in one direction, it just pulls it altogether really. Which is why this touring circuit worked out so well for Evanescence. The "Synthesis", album being played in its entirety from start to finish pretty much, having the orchestra perform their own setlist of course, each act's performances being very thorough.

To say the least though, 8PM struck the clock, as the orchestration erupted the stage, with their instrumental set up, grabbing in the audience's attention rather quickly, with such tunes as "Moonlight Sonata", "Lacrimosa", and "Pavane", to name a few, everyone getting drawn into "Sally's Song", a cover from Danny Elfman and the film The Nightmare Before Christmas. After they had performed their assortment of tracks, the orchestra would take a brief intermission, lasting roughly 15 minutes, as everyone got up to use the facilities, grab refreshments, and take in the environment as a whole.
 Around 8:45PMish all were already back in their seats, as the orchestration who had performed a 30 minute set prior, 8PM to 8:30PM, was in their positions, taken their seats, as the lights dimmed once more, just as before, but instead had Amy Lee walk upon the stage, taking a sit right at the piano. As she went into the first song of the evening, "Never Go Back", performed after the "Overture" of course. That would of course lead down the array of tracks taken from the "Synthesis", release, including such popular numbers as "Bring Me to Life", "Lithium", "My Immortal", as well as other material that had not been played in the longest time "Secret Door", "Lacrymosa", "Good Enough", and "Swimming Home".  The rest being live premieres, as they were taken off the album, but fans still took a rather liking to the material nonetheless.

As each of the tracks of the setlist played on through though, the fans among the crowd broke out into countless cheers, shouts, "I love yous" "Love you Amy", right on back to cheering and shouting all over again. It was a joy to hear, in the dead pieces of silence, these glimmer of presents as all there, were there for one reasoning, to witness a band that is so well known for being who they are best, that is Evanescence.

Thus, with that, their set list was preserved and well thought out, working really well with a live orchestra setting, playing with their own material, made Amy Lee's voice and band mates, work flawlessly together, yet sound unreal, truly stunning if that is at all possible. That is what you can take away from this performance that evening at The Greek Theater in the hills of Los Angeles County.

If you have never seen them live or even heard their material before, then this rendition of it, is for you in most definitely is, because Evanescence with Amy Lee's vocals, just tops it all. They bring it, and can make their performance hold so well, there are no other words around it, but it is just beautiful yet so fulfilling, it hurts.

Evanescence will be releasing a new album and their fourth album "Synthesis", this fall on November 10th 2017. This album is a re-working of their classic hits including "Bring Me to Life", except done with orchestra, than the original version, that was on their 2003 release "Fallen". Evanescence have announced their return since the band went on a three year hiatus. The band has also announced that their guitarist Terry Balsamo, whose been with the band since 2003, has departed from the band and been replaced by Jen Majura. Check out the statement Evanescence gave in regards to this change-up;

"We have big news to share.

After 2 albums, countless adventures around the world and on the stage, Terry's time with Evanescence has come to an end. As difficult as that is, we stand unified knowing it's the right thing for all of us. We will ALWAYS love you, Terry, and wish you all the happiness, health, and love in the world!

Now for the exciting part of this announcement: Ladies and gentlemen, meet Jen Majura.

After scouring the globe, I found Evanescence's missing piece in South Germany. She plays like a supervillan, sings like an angel, and laughs like a great friend. We spent a few days together last week in New York sharing eerily familiar life stories, sushi, artistic inspiration, other people's shoes, and SO many laughs! (Yeah, okay, and maybe there were a couple of stiff drinks mixed in there) wink emoticon

We are all so excited to play together this fall and bring the show to a whole new level. CAN'T WAIT! I know you will show her all the love and respect a strong, talented woman deserves. I couldn't be happier to welcome our new sister to the band.

After a massive comeback with last year’s self-titled effort — not to mention singer Amy Lee appearing on last year’s cover of our annual Hottest Chicks in Hard Rock issue — it looks like Evanescence will be taking an extended break after their current tour wraps up.

“I haven’t been sitting down to write,” said Lee. “I’m thinking we’ll take a break first. I’m really not sure what I’ll do next. At the end of any really long tour, you need to get your head in order. I think at the end of the run, we’ll go on a break for a while and figure things out.”

She continued, “Taking long breaks is seen as a bad thing, but I don’t think it’s a bad thing. People have the idea that you have to keep putting stuff out while people remember you. But I’d rather make something that’s awesome and then make people remember again.”

Hardcore Evanescence fans likely aren’t worried about the break being permanent, as it took five years between the band’s 2006 album The Open Door and 2011′s Evanescence.

“I hope it doesn’t take five years,” the singer adds. “But I don’t want to put a timeline on it either. We’ll all be doing our own thing for a while.”

"What You Want", the first single/video from EVANESCENCE's upcoming self-titled third album, can be viewed at Vevo.com. It is also available below. The clip was filmed on July 30 on a makeshift stage inside a Brooklyn warehouse. The video was helmed by director Meiert Avis, who's made iconic clips for the likes of U2, BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN and BOB DYLAN.

"This video is sort of, like, the history of the band," EVANESCENCE singer Amy Lee told MTV News. "This club [set] is emulating old shows we used to play in the beginning — we used to play this club called Vino's in Little Rock — it's sort of like back then, the gritty, dirty club, sweaty. And basically, it's also [about] New York, where I've been, [and] where [bassist] Tim [McCord] lived in the past few years since we've been gone. And it's sort of about escaping New York and ... coming back out into the world."

She added, "This is more a personal video. We've done a lot in the past that [were] very 'fantasy,' and this is sort of the real us. I just wanted to do something that really felt personal for a change. Obviously, I'm wearing crazy makeup, and that's not my everyday, but, you know, I want ... to connect with the fans again. We all do. We miss them. A lot of this record is about them, and that's why they're going to be here and be in it, too."

"Evanescence" was recorded at Nashville's Blackbird Studio with producer Nick Raskulinecz (RUSH, FOO FIGHTERS, VELVET REVOLVER, DEATH ANGEL, TRIVIUM).

EVANESCENCE singer Amy Lee began recording an album last year with producer Steve Lillywhite (DAVE MATTHEWS BAND, U2) that leaned heavily in the direction of electronic and dance music, but her label reportedly rejected that project and made her start from scratch on a more traditional EVANESCENCE offering.

"I feel like, not that I'm trying to do what's important for the music industry, I'm doing what I want — we're doing what we love," she told MTV News. "But, at the same time, it's so refreshing for us to play music that we want to hear. It rocks, and not that there's nothing going on that does, but less and less; that's definitely not what's dominating the airwaves. And it would be so amazing and it's totally our dream to have that happen for us; not even just for us, but, like, we want to hear rock music again.


"I think that, as a band, we're really strong," she continued. "Everybody's just playing at the top of their game right now, they're just putting it all in ... and it was, like, that mentality the whole time we were working. Like, whatever it takes to make the most amazing thing possible."

EVANESCENCE will kick off a 15-city North American run on October 10 in Oakland, California.

Yes it has indeed five long years since we last heard from Evanescence but the band is back and their new self-titled release due out October 11th takes a whole new approach. Amy Lee herself was just discussing last year about wanting to make an electronic/dance based album but she has put that behind her for good. She says that this album will be the band's heaviest to date and that the fans will get more in store once they hit the road this fall. Amy says "It's just going to be straight-up rock. Big energy. This album is just a fast-paced rock ride . . . We've got three albums now to pull from so, of course, we want to play the new ones but, of course, we're going to play the old ones too. It's going to be a lot."

The album was recorded at the Blackbird Studios in Nashville with produer Nick Raskulinecz who's worked with such acts as Rush, Foo Fighters, Velvet Revolver, Death Angel and Trivium. A totla of 16-tracks were recorded for the album and all will appear on a deluxe edition of the album. Guitarist Troy McLawhorn has officially rejoined EVANESCENCE after leaving SEETHER in March. McLawhorn first joined EVANESCENCE in 2007, but departed a year later and got the job with SEETHER. He quit that group earlier this spring over what he said online was "personal friction" with one of the other members.

In a posting on his Facebook page, McLawhorn wrote, "I will be back with EVANESCENCE again for the new album and tour. I'm really happy to be back again and can't wait for everyone to hear the new music!"

EVANESCENCE frontwoman Amy Lee wrote on her Twitter profile, "YES!! I'm proud to announce that Troy McLawhorn is back in Ev! Album is sounding awesome! We love you Troy! Welcome back."

The management of EVANESCENCE denied to BLABBERMOUTH.NET in April that McLawhorn had rejoined the band.

According to The Pulse Of Radio, the news that McLawhorn had rejoined EVANESCENCE came from SEETHER frontman Shaun Morgan, who wrote on Twitter, "Interesting news about our old guitarist. Can anyone guess? No, he's not coming back. He went to another band. Little anti-Shaun club. Any more guesses? . . . So, good fucking luck to Amy Lee and Troy."

It's not clear where Morgan heard that McLawhorn was rejoining EVANESCENCE. Morgan and EVANESCENCE singer Amy Lee had a nasty break-up in late 2005 after dating for over two years, and bad blood remains.

McLawhorn said on Facebook that he left SEETHER over "a very personal invasion of trust" but has not elaborated further.

EVANESCENCE is recording its new CD with producer Nick Rasculinecz, who has worked on recent albums from ALICE IN CHAINS and DEFTONES. Lee told Spin.com that his involvement has made it "more of a rock record." In the same interview, she described the album — which is due on October 4 — as "fun," adding, "That's a totally new thing for us. When I listen to our old music I see that's where I was in my life at that time. This has been a long trip and parts have been hard. But it's about not taking everything so seriously this time."

Lee first attempted to record the album last year with producer Steve Lillywhite, and at the time said that it was going to be heavily inspired by electronic music. She explained why that project was abandoned, saying, "It wasn't coming together right. Steve wasn't the right fit. We were on this experimental trip, trying a bunch of new things, seeing what would fit. I did a lot of the writing without the band. And then when we tried to pull the two worlds together, it wasn't working."

She added that EVANESCENCE is a full band again, saying, "I've never felt so supported by my band members. We've really relied on each other. And everyone being a part of this album, from the ground up, is an entirely new approach for us. There's nobody that's just coming in to play guitar. Everybody's invested. We're more truly a band now than ever before."

The current lineup also features guitarist Terry Balsamo, bassist Tim McCord, drummer Will Hunt, and programmer Will "Science" Hunt — yes, there are two Will Hunts in the band.
