AlterRed returns with the hard-hitting album titled "Trauma; Trauma Reinforcement". Definitely reflective of today's hostile world, "Trauma; Trauma Reinforcement" takes the listener down a dark path filled with rage, instability, resistance and angst.

This more aggressive AlterRed combines dirty guitars and heavy beats over thick layers of synths and noise. Their innovative sound was first introduced with the release of Breaking News and continues to morph on tracks like "Speed Test," "Wait for the Recoil" and "You Get Nothing."

Topping off this release is a cover of the Duran Duran classic, "Wild Boys." The new album "TRAUMA; TRAUMA REIMFORCEMENT", is out Friday, July 13 on WTII Records! Pre-Order the new album right HERE! Check out the album's teaser over HERE.

Inverse Records are proud to announce the signing of Italian post-apocalyptic thrashers REVOLUTIO. The band will be releasing their new album "Vagrant" in fall 2018.

Revolutio‘s music is an evolution of thrash/groove metal infused with post-apocalyptic and introspective elements, and describes the decay of modern age and the rise of a new era of man.

The album has been recorded, mixed and mastered at Audiocore Studio (The Modern Age Slavery, Raw Power, Dark Lunacy). The artwork has been created by the Russian studio Mayhem Project Design. A clip from the recording sessions can be seen here: https://youtu.be/Uq-3BxBiyrs.

On May 25th, Snow Patrol will return with "Wildness", their first album in seven years, which finds the band searching for clarity, connection, and meaning, while staying true to the melodic songwriting prowess that brought them to prominence. "Wildness" taps into something raw and primitive, and lead-singer and songwriter Gary Lightbody says of the album: "There are many types of wildness, but I think it can be distilled into two: the wildness of the modern age, all it’s confusion, illogic and alienation and a more ancient wildness. Something primal, alive and beautiful that speaks to our true connectivity, our passion, our love, our communion with nature and each other. This is the kind of wildness the album is centered around. The loss of it. Trying to reconnect with it. To remember it."

Since their 1998 debut, "Songs for Polarbears", Snow Patrol have racked up an impressive number of critical and commercial accolades, including 15 million global album sales, 1+ billion global track streams, 5 UK Platinum Albums, and are Grammy and Mercury Music Prize nominated. After their Fallen Empires tour ended in 2012, band members —which also include multi-instrumentalist Johnny McDaid, guitarist Nathan Connolly, bassist Paul Wilson, and drummer Jonny Quinn — decided to take a step back from the band, and focus on their own projects. Gary Lightbody continued his work with his Tired Pony side project with members of Belle and Sebastian, R.E.M, Reindeer Section and Fresh Young Fellows and moved to Los Angeles to begin writing songs for movies (including "This Is How You Walk On" for 2017’s Gifted), and doing a number of high-profile co-writes with Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift and One Direction. Taking this extended break from Snow Patrol proved to be a source of inspiration, and writing songs that were not pulled directly from his own psyche helped heal what Lightbody considered to be not so much writer’s block as life block.

It’s in this search for clarity and connection that these songs were written and refined. "I think it’s the first record I’ve ever written that I haven’t just asked a bunch of questions. I actually tried to figure out why I was unhappy, why I feel out of place, why I’m afraid," says Lightbody. "There’s nothing really to protect myself for-- it’s all in the album. I want to remember." This impulse was partially inspired by Lightbody’s father, who is suffering from dementia. "I think the album is defined by memory in a lot of ways," says Lightbody, "including my father’s loss of memory."

The songs are surefooted, displaying a newfound sense of self and purpose, and the rest of the band members rose magnificently to the occasion. The album is produced once more by the great Jacknife Lee, Snow Patrol’s longtime producer and collaborator. "Life on Earth" opens the album with its mission statement, "this is something else, this is something else." "Heal Me" feels like an ancient hymn: "Finally, after way too many years of smashing my body to bits with booze, I met someone who helped me find my way back to health and clarity," says Lightbody. "This song is about her, that journey and is dedicated to her." "Empress," written for Lightbody’s goddaughters, is fierce and heartfelt, with runaway drums and keen words of wisdom. "What If This Is All The Love You Ever Get?" is a heartstring-puller, posing the question nobody wants to ask. The last track, "Life and Death," is a rumination, and a human story of love and forgiveness— mostly self-forgiveness for Lightbody, demonstrating that perhaps everyone ought to take this long between albums to reflect long and hard before they write.

"Seamus Heaney, my favorite poet of all time, said at 71 that he was only discovering what some of his poetry means, and this is coming from a Nobel Prize-winning poet. It’s a great testament to inspiration," says Lightbody. "Sometimes it takes you five years to write the thing. Like now. And you know for sure when you finish an album like that, where you’ve poured over every detail and put every atom of yourself into it, everything makes sense and I bet you I’m never not proud of this record."

Sometimes all it takes is one person with a singular strong vision, in order to reach and grasp brilliance, later joined by a fully fleshed out line-up in time in order to keep the momentum going from its initial flames. Unflesh vocalist and guitarist Ryan Beevers chose this very path, he first proved his mettle as a part of seasoned New Hampshire death metal veterans Solium Fatalis, and as a current ongoing student at the esteemed Berklee College of Music based in Boston.

In 2014, Ryan started Unflesh, and soon delivered their first EP, "Transcendence To Eternal Obscurity" in 2016. The highly developed six-song release featured Ryan Beevers on Vocals, Guitars, and Bass paired with world-renowned Alkaloid/Howling Sycamore/ex-Obscura drummer Hannes Grossman on session drums, As Dead Rhetoric aptly summed it up: "The closest reference point would be that of Arsis, if they went on a black metal bend. The death/black/thrash attack of Unflesh uses intricate yet melodic riffs, catchy leads and melodies, and blackened rasps to get the point across, and keeps things moving to create a whirlwind of chaos. Lots of speed and aggression, but melodies and some mid-tempo turns keep everything quite manageable."

Soon after their 2016 release, the Boston-based blackened technical melodic death metal outfit was able to attain a full band line-up of experienced musicians capable of enhancing the group's potential. Unflesh then immediately began hitting the live stage while working on their first full-length album. Unflesh is proud to finally announce their debut record, "Savior", which is set for release on May 25th 2018. Savior will strongly appeal to fans of Arsis, Dissection, Necrophagist, Naglfar, Emperor, Fleshgod Apocalypse, Obscura, Dimmu Borgir, Alterbeast, and Revocation. Prepare yourselves for devastating brilliance born of duality, Unflesh has arcane mastery over multiple realms of death metal and black metal fused sonic sorcery.

Unflesh Vocalist/Guitarist Ryan Beevers says regarding "Savior" that "I’ve always thought of the band as having a kind of mixed sound of 90’s black metal and more technical death metal bands. Since the band started I just called us "Extreme Metal" because it’s a broader label. I never thought the sound of the band would be described as just black metal or death metal. When the first EP "Transcendence to Eternal Obscurity", came out, most people seemed to identify the sound as technical death metal. This album is one more step forward in molding the sound of Unflesh, musically and lyrically the "Savior" album is a lot darker and more aggressive than our previous EP."

The cosmos has now aligned, and with great honor Ritual Productions announce BONG's return after three years with a new and momentous rite. 'Thought and Existence" is their sixth album for Ritual Productions and will be unveiled in its entirety this May 4th 2018.

A continuation of Bong’s metaphysical sounds, "Thought and Existence" will take the listener on a spacious voyage that resonates with the works of the band’s past, yet this offering is especially striking and stunning. A resplendent and imposing craft, comprised of two tracks spanning just under 40 minutes, "Thought and Existence" is remarkable in its ability to move the listener and transcend them to imaginative planes anew.

Bong feel ever so omnipresent on "Thought and Existence", continuing their revered ability to transform time through their sublime sonic textures. As all listeners of this rite will attest, the band’s stellar meditative and mystical drone, amplified by the essential and ritualistic hue of the drums, permits our imagination to be heightened. New realms of perception and existence open up, even if only for the duration of the rite; the power of this listening experience subverting the laws of time and space itself.

The first track - "The Golden Fields" - manifests as an aura of luminosity and transcendence whilst simultaneously stirring a foreboding and solemn sentiment that we are sentient, mortal beings forever teetering on the edge of complete darkness. "Tlön, Uqbar, Orbis Tertius", inspired by Borges’ immaterialist fiction of the same title, sees percussive rolls and fills being especially noticeable, making this one of Bong’s most upbeat and rhythmic tracks. Yet, both songs remain grounded in the hypnotic and mesmeric reverb that only Bong know how to channel. You can hear the first insight into these tracks by following the link below...

THE OBELISK CHANNEL BONG'S COSMOS VIA THE "THOUGHT AND EXISTENCE" ALBUM TRAILER NOW SHOWING AT http://theobelisk.net/obelisk/2018/03/01/bong-debut-album-trailer-for-thought-and-existence/.

The artwork echoes this philosophy. Ancient star maps, planispheres and the oldest astronomy charts of the skies are known for being persistently accurate in their arrangement and predictions of the constellations. This too rings true for Bong’s sound with "Thought and Existence" seeing the band stick with their original Orion belt trio formation. Bong’s rites have continuously harboured high praise for their ability to take followers into the otherworldly ether and "Thought and Existence" evolves and shimmers like the ever expanding Universe.

Bong’s "Thought and Existence" was recorded and engineered by Mark Wood at The Soundroom, Gateshead during September 2017. The rite was mixed and mastered at XL Recordings Studio, London during December 2017, courtesy of John Foyle (Bobby Womack, Sampha, Damon Albarn) and Adam Richardson (11PARANOIAS, Ramesses, Ancient Lights).

Madame Mayhem is a true rocker with an eclectic style in every aspect of life - merging theatricality with hard-hitting, rocking tunes. And on October 20, 2017, she will be unveiling a brand new album, ‘Ready for Me’ (via Metalville label in the UK and Europe, and HeadBall Records in the US). The just-completed album features a powerhouse team of rock talent, including producer Corey Lowery (Saint Asonia), Clint Lowery (Sevendust), Troy McLawhorn (Evanescence), and both Bevan Davies and Ryan Bennett (Madame Mayhem) on drums.

“All the songs on this album are super personal to me,” explains Mayhem. “About my frustrations, trying to get through the rough times, my anxieties and insecurities, some messed up stuff that has happened to me along the way, relationship devastation, you name it. I noticed it only afterwards that audiences are really getting 'the dirt' on me through this album. I was super honest, vulnerable, and didn't hold back during the writing process of these songs. Corey Lowery and I are a great team because he makes me feel comfortable to spill my guts during writing sessions, and during recordings, to re live these situations I am writing about so whoever is listening gets all of what we wanted to give.

And it turns out the album’s first single/video is the perfect intro to the album - a song titled “All Around the World.”

"All Around The World’ is really about feeling like it's you against the world, and racing against time. It's about the pressures to succeed in such a short amount of time, people thinking they know best, and are lost in their own worlds, only concerned about themselves. In this rat race we all live in today, it's getting harder and harder to break through, even if you work your ass off. The sound is upbeat, kind of a more pop punk ish vibe. Corey Lowery and I thought, though we usually are huge fans of incorporating harmonies in our arrangements, that since this song is really about feeling like it's just you against the world, so we tried to make it sound like just one melody line, one voice, against all this hard hitting music. The verses are also supposed to make you feel that anxiety and panic that I have on a daily basis, as I'm sure many of us do. But its a super fun song to rock out to when you are just listening to it without over analyzing it.”

Other album standouts include "War You Started" (“Hard hitting high energy - first track off the album to get listeners pumped up definitely one of my favorites!!! Also one of our favorites to kick off our sets with!”) Also, “So Wrong (Lay You To Rest),” “It’s about some really dark messed up stuff I went through and the rage that was building inside me because of it - about laying to rest the stress I was having over the situation. This song is also hard hitting and the vibes from the verse-pre chorus-chorus, even the breakdown and solo take you through the different stages of the feelings one can go through when dealing with traumatic experiences; and the relief you have when you finally tell a loved one or anyone that thing that you tried to bury inside you that you didn’t know was holding you back.”). Plus, the album-closing title track. “’Ready for Me’ is the name of the album and the 13th/final track on the record. I thought it would be a strong album title because it's basically - Are you ready for me? I don't think you're ready for me; ready for me or not, here I am.”).

Digital pre-orders will be available soon. For now the physical CD pre order for North America here : http://madamemayhem.com/product/ready-for-me-cd/

The Norwegian rock band burst onto the Scandinavian rock scene with their self titled debut album in 2005. Led by hit single Lucifer's Town the band was quickly labelled as one of the most promising underground rock acts and their fan base grew quickly with fan clubs and supporters in every corner of the world. The quartet, renowned as a great energetic live act, toured in Norway and Europe and even played some very successful shows in China.

In 2008 and 2009 the band lived partly in Finland were lots of concerts and TV performances were held. In 2010 the band withdraw from the spotlight, built their own recording studio and concentrated on writing and recording their sophomore album entitled "The Royal Brigade". "We had to take a step back and figure out what direction we wanted with the new album and with the band as a whole" frontman Chris Wicked reveals. "It`s been a long time since our debut. We also have a new line up now so there were several things we had to sort out, but I'll tell you we are extremely pleased with how things have been progressing lately."

Malice In Wonderland recently finished recording their sophomore album entitled "The Royal Brigade" and the band will now start looking for a suitable label to release the CD. Chris is positive about the future: "There is a whole new energy within in the group now! New music, new line up and a new area for Malice In Wonderland in general. The new album is filled with catchy, killer tracks that we are positive will please both new and old fans. We can't wait to show people what we have been up to lately!"

If rock n' roll is dead, someone must have forgotten to tell these Norwegians. With a new record full of bombastic high energetic quality rock songs, these guys are eager to prove that they indeed are a force to reckon with.
