During the Worlds Collide Tour, Within Temptation played two sold-out shows in their home country at Ziggo Dome. Few collaborations in Within Temptation’s career have ignited as much anticipation as their co-headlining tour with Evanescence did, especially having being postponed four times due to COVID.
 
As soon as the world reopened in 2022, the Worlds Collide Tour finally took place. Over the course of over four weeks, the tour traversed 17 cities across Europe and the UK, delivering a total of 19 performances.

For this tour, Within Temptation and Evanescence saw an amazing amount of over 200,000 tickets sold, 7703 km’s traveled, eight tour buses serving as mobile homes for the artists and crew, twelve trailers loaded with the gear to fuel the spectacle, and a dedicated team of over 80 experienced individuals whose tireless efforts ensured that every aspect of the tour ran seamlessly.

"Outlaws 'Til The End' is both a startling curveball and a ferocious statement of individuality from a band who have been a constant and effective force in the heavy metal world for the best part of two decades now. "I think real music has always gotten to me, whether it's the blues or even real Goth music like Bauhaus and Sisters Of Mercy, as well as outlaw country greats like Johnny Cash, Wayne "The Train" Hancock, and Willie Nelson," Fafara explains. Bell helps to turn Richard Thompson's anti-war classic, "Dad's Gonna Kill Me", into a brooding gothic metal extravaganza. "I knew right away that I wanted to have guests on this record, and the first guest I wanted was John Carter Cash," Fafara recalls. "I didn't want this thing to exist without John, without Hank3 or without Randy [Blythe]. Basically, there were a certain amount of guests that I definitely wanted on it, but as I kept asking people, everyone kept saying yes! Randy and Mark [Morton] are both from the country and they were immediately on board. With John, we wound up talking for two hours when we first met, all about his love of heavy metal and my love of outlaw country and my love of his dad's music. All he wanted to do was talk about metal and all I wanted to do was talk about outlaw country. It was the craziest thing."

Not only just content with a collaboration with John Carter Cash, the album also features the iconic voice of Fear, US punk rock legend Lee Ving. "Lee has a country band called Range War and when he first started in music, his mother gave him her mandolin to play, so he played country music before he ever did punk rock," Fafara notes. "I've been fortunate enough in my career to do songs with Ozzy and some of the greats, but doing a song with Lee Ving? What can I say... he's my ultimate hero in life. I had a Fear shirt on the first time I ran away from home, you know?"

Still charging forward, proudly against the grain and on the form of their lives, DEVILDRIVER have never made a record like "Outlaws 'Til The End" before. But then, nor has anyone else.The perfect marriage of badass country grit and neck-wrecking groove metal supremacy, it's a pistol-packing game-changer delivered by true heavy metal outlaws.

First unleashing their self-titled EP in 2013, SENSE OF FEAR are ready to reveal their follow up full length "As The Ages Passing By…". Years in the making, the release has an old school heavy metal feel with a modern pounding anvil. Each track was carefully selected for a good old headbanging time along with telling a unique story.

The band comments: "Each song has its own gravity to the album, and all together create SENSE OF FEAR’s presentation to the world as a band and as musicians. All the lyrics come from personal experiences and emotions. This is our way to express ourselves and fight the personal demons."

CRITICAL MESS are dedicated, skilled and ambitious death metal newcomers from Hanover, Germany. The 5-piece only has one goal in mind: conquering the stages across the globe, bringing extreme music to every corner of the planet.

Founded in February 2012, the band had undergone many changes in line-up and writing styles. In 2016, the current line-up had established itself and quickly found its own unique sound and style. Whilst doing so, they managed to stay true to the familiar and beloved sound of old school death metal that they had all grown up with and the name CRITICAL MESS was born.

Featuring ex-Cripper Vocalist Britta Görtz, the group shows that they have remained faithful to the old-school death metal with which they grew up and define their clear goal: to conquer the stages of the world.

Failure will release their "In The Future" EP on March 30,2018 marking the Los Angeles trio’s first new music since the 2015 album, "The Heart Is A Monster". The EP was produced by Failure and mixed by Ken Andrews. The self-released, four-song EP is the first of four new releases planned for the next year: three EPs culminating in the release of a full-length album this fall. The full-length release will be available both digitally and physically.

"Living inside a screen seems like absolute freedom sometimes, but It’s more like a kind of psychic decapitation," explains Greg Edwards. "We have made aliens of our bodies. We exist in an era where the most primitive structures in our brains are being rewarded and controlled, almost constantly, by extremely sophisticated, interconnected, and self-perpetuating technologies. There seems to be no imaginable way, or real desire, to moderate this. Artificial Intelligence may be creating itself right beneath our noses and using our bodies as unaware hosts. Everything is talking to everything else but there’s no communication anymore. Only divisions and their promotion. The surrogate reality of the internet sucks us out of our own bodies and puts us in a space where we can imagine we have less and less resemblance to the creatures we actually are. The forthcoming three eps and full-length album, explore the ambivalence inspired by this dislocation."

Following the release of August Rosenbaum’s critically acclaimed album "Vista" (November 2017) the Danish pianist and composer is back with a new EP entitled "Rasa". The EP consists of 6 pieces for solo piano that laid the foundation for the music on Vista.

Now August Rosenbaum reveals the single "Nomad" alongside a stunning music video for the track. The music video, based on a fascination of the story of Jeanne D'arc, is packed with mystique and gorgeous imagery. It’s directed by Jasper Spanning who also directed the video for Vista’s “Credo, Pt. II” - shot in Copenhagen’s iconic Marble Church. August Rosenbaum has also announced new live dates including his first London-headline at Servant Jazz Quarters on May 1st. Tickets are on sale now.

August Rosenbaum describes the making of the new video: "After having worked together on the video for "Credo, Pt. II" we felt like exploring an approach that allowed the music to take on the form of a score. The minimalistic feel of the piano version of "Nomad" carves out room for the listener while adding a distinctive tone to the images."

Jasper Spanning continues: "August is an old friend and it has been a great pleasure to create these images for his music. It’s been a very close collaboration and I really feel that music and images merge into one expression. The project is very personal to me."

The upcoming EP "Rasa", consists of 5 songs from "Vista" arranged for solo piano plus the new song "Milo". August elaborates: "The piano is my starting point for everything when I make music, it has been my natural expression since I started playing at 6 years old, and it is how I hear, feel and create harmonies, chords and melodies. When making "Vista" with Robin (Hannibal), it became a dogma that underneath all the layers of detail, production and arrangement, there had to be a strong "core", a composition that could carry the emotion and intent when scraped down to only being played on the piano."

"Rasa" was recorded by August in an intense 3-hour long recording in L.A: "We had just finished a full week of tracking band recordings for "VISTA" in a small studio in Eagle Rock, Los Angeles. So the room was filled with all the music and effort Robin, I, the musicians and our engineer had put in - and at the same time it felt like we had given all we had in us. But I remember it made me so happy and thankful to have made it this far, so I asked the engineer to open the mics on the piano and let the tape roll. I ended up playing non stop for 3 hours, while the others sat in the room just listening. It was really intense and intimate at the same time", August explains.

Last year’s release of the album "Vista" put August Rosenbaum on the map as one of the most exciting rising composers. It’s a record of evocative and soulful music that brought together August Rosenbaum’s rich musical background in both jazz, classical music, film scoring and pop. Vista was written and produced in collaboration with Grammy-nominated producer Robin Hannibal who've worked with an impressive range of artists including Rhye, Little Dragon and Kendrick Lamar.

On May 25th, Snow Patrol will return with "Wildness", their first album in seven years, which finds the band searching for clarity, connection, and meaning, while staying true to the melodic songwriting prowess that brought them to prominence. "Wildness" taps into something raw and primitive, and lead-singer and songwriter Gary Lightbody says of the album: "There are many types of wildness, but I think it can be distilled into two: the wildness of the modern age, all it’s confusion, illogic and alienation and a more ancient wildness. Something primal, alive and beautiful that speaks to our true connectivity, our passion, our love, our communion with nature and each other. This is the kind of wildness the album is centered around. The loss of it. Trying to reconnect with it. To remember it."

Since their 1998 debut, "Songs for Polarbears", Snow Patrol have racked up an impressive number of critical and commercial accolades, including 15 million global album sales, 1+ billion global track streams, 5 UK Platinum Albums, and are Grammy and Mercury Music Prize nominated. After their Fallen Empires tour ended in 2012, band members —which also include multi-instrumentalist Johnny McDaid, guitarist Nathan Connolly, bassist Paul Wilson, and drummer Jonny Quinn — decided to take a step back from the band, and focus on their own projects. Gary Lightbody continued his work with his Tired Pony side project with members of Belle and Sebastian, R.E.M, Reindeer Section and Fresh Young Fellows and moved to Los Angeles to begin writing songs for movies (including "This Is How You Walk On" for 2017’s Gifted), and doing a number of high-profile co-writes with Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift and One Direction. Taking this extended break from Snow Patrol proved to be a source of inspiration, and writing songs that were not pulled directly from his own psyche helped heal what Lightbody considered to be not so much writer’s block as life block.

It’s in this search for clarity and connection that these songs were written and refined. "I think it’s the first record I’ve ever written that I haven’t just asked a bunch of questions. I actually tried to figure out why I was unhappy, why I feel out of place, why I’m afraid," says Lightbody. "There’s nothing really to protect myself for-- it’s all in the album. I want to remember." This impulse was partially inspired by Lightbody’s father, who is suffering from dementia. "I think the album is defined by memory in a lot of ways," says Lightbody, "including my father’s loss of memory."

The songs are surefooted, displaying a newfound sense of self and purpose, and the rest of the band members rose magnificently to the occasion. The album is produced once more by the great Jacknife Lee, Snow Patrol’s longtime producer and collaborator. "Life on Earth" opens the album with its mission statement, "this is something else, this is something else." "Heal Me" feels like an ancient hymn: "Finally, after way too many years of smashing my body to bits with booze, I met someone who helped me find my way back to health and clarity," says Lightbody. "This song is about her, that journey and is dedicated to her." "Empress," written for Lightbody’s goddaughters, is fierce and heartfelt, with runaway drums and keen words of wisdom. "What If This Is All The Love You Ever Get?" is a heartstring-puller, posing the question nobody wants to ask. The last track, "Life and Death," is a rumination, and a human story of love and forgiveness— mostly self-forgiveness for Lightbody, demonstrating that perhaps everyone ought to take this long between albums to reflect long and hard before they write.

"Seamus Heaney, my favorite poet of all time, said at 71 that he was only discovering what some of his poetry means, and this is coming from a Nobel Prize-winning poet. It’s a great testament to inspiration," says Lightbody. "Sometimes it takes you five years to write the thing. Like now. And you know for sure when you finish an album like that, where you’ve poured over every detail and put every atom of yourself into it, everything makes sense and I bet you I’m never not proud of this record."

GRÁ was founded in 2010 by Heljarmadr and Dimman in Stockholm. In a time where many bands want to be compared with their idols, Grá walks a different path where exploration and breaking new grounds are the keystones. That is the greatest tribute to the past, to walk your own path and be a leader, not a follower of trends.

Upon two albums and numerous short releases, it is now time for the third album, 'Väsen". It is also time to follow up on the previously successful tours around Europe, starting with the Eradication Festival in Cardiff, Wales in May 2018.

"Väsen" is the third album from Grá and it marks a new era. Free from the concept of the previous releases, Grá returns with an album more varied than ever and with the will to explore outside the borders of the narrow-minded so called black metal scene where most seem to have forgotten to include the part that makes it BLACK.

Väsen will be released through Swedish label Carnal Records on CD & Digital formats on April 27, with the LP out this Fall 2018.

Sometimes all it takes is one person with a singular strong vision, in order to reach and grasp brilliance, later joined by a fully fleshed out line-up in time in order to keep the momentum going from its initial flames. Unflesh vocalist and guitarist Ryan Beevers chose this very path, he first proved his mettle as a part of seasoned New Hampshire death metal veterans Solium Fatalis, and as a current ongoing student at the esteemed Berklee College of Music based in Boston.

In 2014, Ryan started Unflesh, and soon delivered their first EP, "Transcendence To Eternal Obscurity" in 2016. The highly developed six-song release featured Ryan Beevers on Vocals, Guitars, and Bass paired with world-renowned Alkaloid/Howling Sycamore/ex-Obscura drummer Hannes Grossman on session drums, As Dead Rhetoric aptly summed it up: "The closest reference point would be that of Arsis, if they went on a black metal bend. The death/black/thrash attack of Unflesh uses intricate yet melodic riffs, catchy leads and melodies, and blackened rasps to get the point across, and keeps things moving to create a whirlwind of chaos. Lots of speed and aggression, but melodies and some mid-tempo turns keep everything quite manageable."

Soon after their 2016 release, the Boston-based blackened technical melodic death metal outfit was able to attain a full band line-up of experienced musicians capable of enhancing the group's potential. Unflesh then immediately began hitting the live stage while working on their first full-length album. Unflesh is proud to finally announce their debut record, "Savior", which is set for release on May 25th 2018. Savior will strongly appeal to fans of Arsis, Dissection, Necrophagist, Naglfar, Emperor, Fleshgod Apocalypse, Obscura, Dimmu Borgir, Alterbeast, and Revocation. Prepare yourselves for devastating brilliance born of duality, Unflesh has arcane mastery over multiple realms of death metal and black metal fused sonic sorcery.

Unflesh Vocalist/Guitarist Ryan Beevers says regarding "Savior" that "I’ve always thought of the band as having a kind of mixed sound of 90’s black metal and more technical death metal bands. Since the band started I just called us "Extreme Metal" because it’s a broader label. I never thought the sound of the band would be described as just black metal or death metal. Seattle Alternative Rock Band VENDETTA RED has announced the release of their first full length album since 2005, titled "Quinceañera", which is set to release April 13th 2018 via Cleopatra Records. Pre-orders are available HERE and a teaser album clip HERE.

You know, when you can’t label a band your onto something unique. Better yet, you slide into a hard groove and skip into styles you didn’t expect of a metal core band. Expect this from their new EP "Kaosphere".

Barely taking a breathe after their Australian East Coast Tour, Kaosphere are set to release their debut self-titled EP on April 13, 2018. "Chokehold", a single from the EP will be available from Marxh 23rd 2018 from all major distributors.

Bouncing from their single release, "Forsaking Shadows", the lads didn't hold back in 2017 and left some pretty impressive scars on crowds in Newcastle and the Gold Coast. "There are places we would like to visit North from here, Bundaberg and the Sunshine Coast, and as many towns we missed on the first tour," confirms Ricci, the bands lead vocalist.

Teaming up with Black-Roos Entertainment as their booking/promotions agent, they have their eyes set on an Australian and New Zealand Tour later in the year and will be part of Metal United World Wide.

DRAWNED AND QUARTERED started off as Plague Bearer (which is now a side project of the guitarist Kelly) more than two and a half decade ago. Despite residing beneath the radar, the Seattle based death metal force has earned huge admiration from the critiques and the listeners because of their unconventional and dark structured song-writings. Six highly acclaimed full lengths and numerous demo and EP releases are the illustrations why D & Q’s existence in the underground is invulnerable and indestructible.

In "Hail Infernal Darkness", D & Q keeps mastering the acquired sonical influences from Immolation, Incantation, Morbid Angel and Autopsy in their own way. While pushing the boundaries of traditional death metal by infusing technically complex riffs, they retain the dreadful and raw environs with dexterity, a hallmark that is highly unnoticeable among the torchbearers of modern technical death metal acts who only gives priority to metamorphose themselves in a sea of technical showboating. The album clocking in at 41 minutes is an experience of the eternal punishment, where one would be consumed by the flames in hell.

"Hail Infernal Darkness", the third full length of D & Q, was originally released on CD format in 2006 under the banner of Moribund Records. For the very first time this timeless masterpiece will be enfolded on 12" vinyl format through the flag of Krucyator Productions on April 3, 2018. The French label already released the tape format of the latest opus "Feeding Hell's Furnace" last year.

Post hardcore quartet Eyes On Satellites has released a new single "She Bends Her Arms To Look Like Wings". Along with the new single comes the group's announcement of their upcoming EP titled, "The Illuminator", which is set to release April 6th 2018. Mixed and mastered by Matt McLellan (Underoath, Being As An Ocean) at Glow in the Dark Studios, helped highlight the band's influences of melodic guitars, driving drums and ambient sounds to give the six track EP, exactly what the band represents.

""The Illuminator" represents Eyes On Satellites as a whole. It's the culmination of endless writing and hard work to achieve the growth and change as a band that we strived for. ACHERONTAS reveal cover, tracklisting and release date of new studio album "Faustian Ethos"
Greek occult black metallers with ritual & 70's rock influences, ACHERONTAS, reveal details surrounding their new studio album titled "Faustian Ethos". The album is set to be released on May 18th in Europe and May 25th in North America via Agonia Records.

As previously reported, the follow-up to "Amarta अमर्त" (2017) was recorded in three different studios in Greece, UK and Germany between 2016 and 2017 with mixing and mastering done at Pentagram Studio by George Emmanuel (Rotting Christ, Lucifer's Child). The newly-released cover artwork presented above was created by George Zafiriadis (www.occulticons.com) and the "Faustian Ethos" sigil (available at the bottom) was illustrated by VisionBlack.

The time has finally come! After more than seven years of silence, DIMMU BORGIR mark their epic return and unveil the first song of their new full-length album "Eonian", due to be released on May 4th 2018 via Nuclear Blast Records.

This first track off the new record, the symphonically charged "Interdimensional Summit", comes with a music video shot by Patric Ullaeus, who had previously worked with the band for the clips of "Progenies of the Great Apocalypse", "Sorgens Kammer - Del II" and the award-winning "The Serpentine Offering". The song represents the more epic side of a devilish and diverse album, which pays tribute to all eras of the band's 25-years-long history.

MWWB further commented "MWWB have been big fans of Slomatics for years.  We have kind of obdurate tastes when it comes to heavy music so we like bands that fly their own flag and in our opinion Slomatics do just that. After chatting to Dave (Majury) it was pretty clear that both bands had a lot in common and when somebody brought up the idea of a collaboration it was a no brainer. We spent a lot of time discussing the content of this record and didn’t want to do just another split record. Although Split records are great for undergrounds bands like us, we just wanted to make it ‘special’. Kind of an early 70's prog ethic to it. We all enjoyed the whole process and I’m not alone in thinking we’d like to do more collaborations in the future with more collaboration between the 2 bands. That’s if we can find the time."

Joplin, MO's indie pop darlings Me Like Bees are gearing up to release their new EP "Songs From The Realm" on March 30th 2018, but now you can hear the new single "Long Gone." The EP is a collaborative effort with the Image Comics series "The Realm" and acts as a soundtrack of sorts for the comic. "Long Gone" is a song about Ben, a character in comic that is a relentless one man force.

"He’s fearless and has a reputation for being a person even the monsters in the story avoid," says vocalist Luke Sheafer. "This is the first time any of us had tried tackling writing a song from a very specific person’s point of view. I think really it’s about him knowing that the only way to push beyond his own fear is to become something everything else fears."

The post-apocalyptic high fantasy comic series is distributed by Image Comics (known best for The Walking Dead) and is about a group of people who are constantly coming to grips with a hostile new world, all the while struggling with their checkered pasts that pale in comparison to the horrors they are forced to survive daily.

In an interview with Alternative Press, comic creator Jeremy Haun said "The band and I actually come from the same small town. A mutual friend sent over Me Like Bees' first album 'The Ides' just before it came out a few years ago. I put it it on while I sat drawing comics. I played through. Several times."

This soon turned into a friendship between the band and Haun, which led to many talks about future collaborations. When Haun started working on "The Realm", he thought they could collaborate on a song for the project, which eventually blossomed into a full record. "They put together the first song "The River Divides" and it was everything I wanted it to be. It stood on it’s own as a song, but then worked perfectly as a theme song for the project. It was like the opening credits theme to an HBO series or Netflix show," says Haun.
