With 2006's Dimevision Vol 1: That's The Fun I Have, fans of Dimebag Darrell and his work with Pantera and Damageplan were afforded the chance to see into the world of the legendary guitarist. Compiled from the many, many hours of video footage captured between the mid-80s and his later years, it was a funny, touching and poignant memorial.

Metal Blade Records is thrilled to announce the release of Dimevision Vol 2: Roll With It Or Get Rolled Over - another true celebration of the man and how he lived his life - on November 24, 2017. Pre-orders are available via Metal Blade HERE. The DVD/CD set - which will include more raw footage, true gems and classic Dimebag moments - will also include five previously unreleased demos, picked from a vast catalog Dimebag accrued since longtime girlfriend Rita Haney gave him his first 4-track in 1984.

Beginning today at 3:33pm Texas Central "Dime Time", a PledgeMusic campaign was launched to support the release of the set. There, you can also view an official Dimevision Vol 2: Roll With It Or Get Rolled Over trailer. In addition to acting as a pre-order for the set, the PledgeMusic campaign includes an assortment of rare items to buy, including props and costumes that belonged to Dimebag and that you can see in his home videos/Dimevision volumes, rare stage clothing, and other merchandise. Visit the PledgeMusic page here: https://www.pledgemusic.com/projects/dimevision2

Going into making Dimevision Vol 2: Roll With It Or Get Rolled Over, Rita Haney worked in collaboration with Daryl "Bobby Tongs" Arnberger, who was not only one of Dimebag's closest friends both on and off the road, but also worked as an official videographer for Pantera, Damageplan and a plethora of A-list musicians, from Slipknot to Dolly Parton, along with film editor Rob Fenn. After cataloguing hundreds of tapes, they chose 43 segments to create Dimevision Vol. 2.

Arnberger explains, "As we all watched, we envisioned certain segments and ideas coming to life in my head, and rather than it serving as a memorial, this second DVD is more about the vision Dime had in his head for this footage, what he actually wanted it to become. This one is more uplifting, funny, and it stays 100% true to his idea for Dimevision."

Fans of the original know that this way of life involved a lot of whiskey, an insane amount of fireworks and a contagious desire to have fun - and like its predecessor, the title is also drawn from the words of the man himself. Having a habit of latching onto a saying or a phrase, this soon became part of his particular dialect, affectionately dubbed 'Dime-bonics'. "It comes from something he was saying a lot in 2003 and 2004," Haney recalls. "He'd call from the road and he'd say 'man, I'm beat up out here, but that's the highs and lows of rock and roll. You gotta roll with it or get rolled over.'"

"He had a unique way of seeing things, and he always lived with a video camera," adds Haney. "No matter where we went he was always capturing what was going on, and myself and others around him were filming a lot too. In putting out these videos I just want people to see the way he was, 24/7. What you saw on stage and backstage, that was how he lived."

Unsuspecting visitors to the couple's home were regularly drawn in - memorable segments involve girl scouts selling cookies and Dimebag experiencing an "interesting" CPAP machine fitting - and events as mundane as taking a friend to get a pedicure become hilarious, thanks to his particular way of seeing the world. As endlessly entertaining as Dimebag was, there were of course other, deeper sides to his personality, which are also reflected in both volumes. Haney adds, "There were some really touching, deep, heavy and emotional moments in the first one, where he's talking about himself to the camera while in the shower. Filming himself like that was something he did a lot, and you'd have no clue until you're looking through the tapes and come across them, and when you do the goosebumps crawl all over you. People that love and know Darrell are going to be touched by what he has to say, because it's him telling you for the first time."

As for his included demos, Dimebag not only wrote down the lyrics and dates of everything he recorded but also his thoughts on it at the time, which Haney will also be sharing with fans. However, she's quick to point out that no one should expect high production standards ("It's called a 4-track for a reason!") and that these are not 'lost' Pantera tracks. "These songs come from his off-time, it was entertainment to him - one of them was even inspired by a George Michael solo record coming out back in the 80s!" she laughs. "But he loved making music and he appreciated all kinds of music, whether he was making a joke of it or not, it still caught his ear, and I hope people can enjoy these songs for what they are and the spirit they were made in."

With so much footage left over, fans can rest assured that as fulfilling as Dimevision Vol 2: Roll With It Or Get Rolled Over is, there's still a lot to look forward to. Haney says, "We hope to make [Dimevision] an annual thing. It will all depend on if the fans want it and support it!"

Concerning the album;  "The Blood of Gods" is nothing less than a sacred text chronicling the rise of humanity against their makers, and the massive battle between GWAR and the forces of all that is uptight and wrong with the world. Along the way, the band challenges the sins of their great mistake, from politics, pollution, and organized religion, to fast food, and factory farming. Humans are shown as what they are; a parasitic disease that must be eradicated before they suck the planet dry. Meanwhile, Sleazy P. Martini, the crooked entrepreneur who discovered the Scumdogs, and has always envisioned them as a sort of horrific boy band, finally managed to convince the group to write a hit song called "I'll Be Your Monster." If all goes according to plan, it may be just stupid enough to work!

The youth of America have been infected!   As the stars of the 2017 Vans Warped Tour, your Lords and Masters have GWAR destroyed and pillaged the country all summer long, as only they could. Warped Tour fans and fellow bands alike were molested, mutilated and left emotionally devastated by GWAR's performances from sea to shining sea. The one and only Beefcake the Mighty, "killed" Billy Hamilton the bassist of Silverstein and then took his place in the band, playing the band's new single "Ghost". Check it HERE.

Just this past weekend as the Warped Tour was wrapping up, The Berserker Blothar took to the stage along with Sawborg Destructo and their slaves to "murder" American Authors singer Zac Barnett.  Blothar then took over the vocal duties of their hit song, changing the lyrics to "Last Day of My Life" as the savage attack continued right HERE.

Guitarist Pustulus Maximus commented on the end of Warped Tour and what bohabs can expect next from your lords and masters:

"Our summer's long journey to corrupt the moral turpitude of America's youth is now complete. Much thanks to the other bands, crew and children with whom we shared blood, sex and violence. Now, on to tell the tale of "The Blood of Gods!"

On October 20th, GWAR will release a new studio album entitled "The Blood of Gods" via Metal Blade Records.   "The Blood of Gods" is nothing less than a sacred text chronicling the rise of humanity against their makers, and the massive battle between GWAR and the forces of all that is uptight and wrong with the world.

Of course, "The Blood of Gods" is the first GWAR album without the band's fallen brother, Oderus Urungus. The title of the album refers to the loss of Oderus. and the struggles and triumphs that produced the new sound of the band. Born of adversity, "The Blood of Gods" is a sonic scar...a question asked and answered...Death cannot kill GWAR. Nothing can. GWAR LIVES MOTHERFUCKERS!

GWAR are taking a quick break following Warped Tour, then heading back out on the road for an appearance at Chicago's Riot Fest and a couple of additional headline dates (including an appearance at Land Of Illusion in Middletown, OH.  Following those shows, the band will return home to Antarctica to prepare for a never-ending tour in support of "The Blood Of Gods".  More information including dates, venues, and support bands will be made available when GWAR feels like it.

TOUR DATES:

9/15: Knoxville, TN @ The International
9/16: Middletown, OH @ Land of Illusion (Free Show With Admission To Park)
9/17: Chicago, IL @ Riot Fest

GWAR W/ Stonecutters:
11/2: Louisville, KY @ Mercury Ballroom (Moved From 9/16)

Goatwhore will release their anticipated Vengeful Ascension full-length worldwide on June 23rd via Metal Blade Records. The band's seventh full-length and second recorded reel-to-reel, Vengeful Ascension was captured at Earth Analog in Tolono, Illinois near Champaign, Illinois with longtime soundman and comrade Jarrett Pritchard (1349, Gruesome), breaking a four-album tradition of working with Erik Rutan.

"Working with Rutan was awesome," says Goatwhore front-man Ben Falgoust. "We did some great records with him. But you come to a point where you're like, 'All right. Let's try something new.' It was part of trying to remove ourselves from a comfort zone and a risk thing we needed to take. Plus, we really wanted to hit the essence of where we are live and what better way to harness that than by having our live sound guy involved. Jarrett is knowledgeable with the studio stuff. He also knows how we sound coming out of a PA and we really wanted to get closer to that."

The resulting ten-track, forty-one-minute production - mixed by Chris Common (Tribulation, Pelican) and mastered by Maor Applebaum (Faith No More, Halford, Today Is The Day) - marches in, clutches its listeners by the throat and refuses to loosen its grip until the abrupt conclusion of "Those Who Denied God's Will." A sonic manifestation of war, chaos, desolation, and emotional conflict, seamlessly bridging twenty years of the band's signature brand of audio venom, it's a record that finds its members at their most accomplished both individually and as a cohesive unit. Guitarist Sammy Duet's dense, sub nuclear riff work and possessed solo blitzes are at their most devastating, spiraling flawlessly and instinctually around drummer Zack Simmons' and bassist James Harvey's hammering rhythms, while Falgoust's distinctly commanding roar, his acidic prose, more enunciated than ever before, complimenting the apocalyptic proceedings.

"Each song is a representation of Goatwhore. From day one until now. It really shows our evolution as a band," the front-man reflects."I don't think that this band has reached its peak yet. I mean, I think we're closer now than ever but we're still growing; we're still evolving."

Vengeful Ascension will be available on CD, vinyl (in multiple limited color variations), and digital formats. Various pre-order options are currently available at: metalblade.com/goatwhore - where you can also sample Vengeful Ascension's title track. Stay tuned for the official "Vengeful Ascension" video clip, directed by James Foster, to be unveiled in the coming days.

Vengeful Ascension format options:
--Digipak CD
--Limited "spell book" edition including two CDs (limited to 3000 copies)
--180g black vinyl
--clear/black-marbled vinyl (limited to 300 copies - EU exclusive)
--sepia/white-splatter vinyl (limited to 200 copies - EU exclusive)
--violet-red marbled vinyl (limited to 200 copies - EU exclusive)
--Clear with black and white swirls (limited to 1500 copies - US exclusive)
--sepia-marbled vinyl (limited to 100 copies - US exclusive)
* exclusive bundles with a shirt, plus digital options are also available!

While hardly a concept record in the traditional sense, Vengeful Ascension loosely revolves itself around Luciferian notions in title and spirit where the symbol of Lucifer serves not as a fiendish, all-destroying demon but rather an emancipator or guiding light. It's a theme of struggle and transcendence derived from John Milton's Paradise Lost epic, and one that has appeared, whether directly or indirectly, within Goatwhore works of the past.

"There's that whole idea of Lucifer being the anti-hero," elaborates Falgoust. "He's cast out from this place in Heaven to the depths of nothing. He keeps trying to ascend to the top again but no matter what, there's always this significant force trying to destroy him at any point and banish him back to Hell. If you look at it from an everyday aspect in life, it's the idea of people, hitting the bottom of the barrel or you know, things just aren't going right in life... emotion plays a huge part in how people react. Whether it's based on love or hatred or sadness or whatever, there's always an aspect of emotion that drives people to an extent. So the whole idea of a 'Vengeful Ascension' is built on being at the bottom, working your way to the top, and realizing along the way that there are other facets to the journey aside from just pure retribution. Within negativity there can exist a positive angle as well."

Vengeful Ascension serves as the soundtrack to that luciferious rise straight off with the combative, ritualistic drum onslaught of opening hymn, "Forsaken." Wholly immersive, each track is alarmingly palpable in subject and corresponding execution. The tense, clandestine battery of "Chaos Arcane," based on HP Lovecraft's book Nyarlathotep - a story which attempts to recount the inexplicable sense of fear in expectancy of an unknown evil - conveys that sensation of impending doom through sound in a way only Goatwhore can. "Mankind Will Have No Mercy," a pseudo tribute to Bolt Thrower, seethes under the weight of its own wartime sentiment, while the rapid-fire, punkish urgency of "Under The Flesh, Into The Soul," a first person account of irrepressible resentment, sounds utterly enraged. And with an average run time of just four minutes, no one song ever overstays its welcome.

1. Forsaken

5. Where The Sun Is Silent
6. Drowned In Grim Rebirth

Behemoth: Devil's Conquistadors by Łukasz Dunaj serves as the definitive BEHEMOTH biography. The book, officially blessed, or rather damned, by BEHEMOTH, serves as an in-depth look at the history of the events that materially influenced the band. As Dunaj points out in the intro, this isn't, "Poland's response to Motley Crüe's biography The Dirt." Simply put, Behemoth: Devil's Conquistadors is the story of BEHEMOTH, their music, their ultimate rise to the upper echelon of metal and becoming a household name in their native homeland, Poland.

A 490-page, hardcover tome that is being released by Metal Blade Records in February, Behemoth: Devil's Conquistadors includes quotes and anecdotes from current and former members that provide context and details in addition to the author's narrative, plus interviews with Tomas Krajewski, Rob Darken, Graal, Havok, and more. The artistically presented pages are splattered with old photos of the band, flyers, lyric sheets etc. Pre-orders are available now at metalblade.com/behemoth, and include a bundle with an exclusive shirt available ONLY with this pre-order. The passages below serve as previews of the book.

From the foreword by Krzysztof Azarewicz: "If, as a cultural anthropologist, I were to point to a single cosmic force which BEHEMOTH's music expresses, I would name it not Satan but Dionysus. A deity that represents not only the intoxicating influence of cosmic energies and earthly benefits, but also their benevolent healing properties. A deity of strength and pride. A deity of creative might."

Nergal discusses the acquisition of his first electric guitar: "The first communion was a very important moment for me. I know this sounds ridiculous, but it's true. Of course, not as a religion experience - I didn't understand anything and couldn't care less. Same as all the other kids. We all stood there with our votive candles and waited for one thing. Cash. The first communion must be one moment when you get the most money you're ever going to get as a child. And for this money, I bought myself my first electric guitar. Not a bike, no Legos - a guitar."

Swedish long-haired gangsters GEHENNAH have dunked their fountain pens into their custom made kegs, blended a mixture of blood, booze and pus, and signed a contract with Metal Blade Records.

Consider this a warning! "Gehennah are very proud to sign with such a legendary label as Metal Blade Records who has released so many of our old favorite albums through the years. We are looking forward to this collaboration and to irritate more people than ever!"

GOATWHORE's new album, "Constricting Rage of the Merciless," is scheduled for release in Europe on July 4th.

"Constricting Rage of the Merciless" was recorded with producer Erik Rutan at Mana Recording Studios in St. Petersburg, FL. This is GOATWHORE's fourth studio outing with Rutan at the helm, and to achieve an even more dark and powerful tone on this album, all drums, bass, and rhythm guitars were tracked to 2-inch tape! Fans will hear new music within the next few weeks at metalblade.com/goatwhore.

Erik Rutan commented on the recording sessions: "Working with Goatwhore again for our 4th album together was amazing! It is through our experience and established trust and bond in the studio that allowed us to push each other to the limits, only to achieve the best performances and tones we could. This album came out so dynamic and huge, partly due to the fact that we recorded drums, bass, and main rhythm guitars to analog tape. Goatwhore has a massive sound and we all felt recording to analog would be the best way to capture it, giving it a very unique quality and feel, built off of integrity and vibe. This is our finest moment working together and the guys did an incredible job creating and performing all the songs on this record. Goatwhore fans be prepared!"

TRACKLISTING:

 1. Poisonous Existence In Reawakening
 2. Unraveling Paradise
 3. Baring Teeth For Revolt
 4. Reanimated Sacrifice
 5. Heaven's Crumbling Walls Of Pity
 6. Cold Earth Consumed In Dying Flesh

Returning with the fifth full-length of their decimating career, there is no stopping the juggernaut that is WHITECHAPEL. Our Endless War is the culmination of everything the Knoxville, Tennessee sextet have worked toward since their inception. A ruthlessly honed album that refuses to compromise on brutality, it is also by far their most streamlined, atmospheric, and emotionally powerful release, pushing every aspect of their sound to the next level.

Our Endless War will be released April 29th in North America via Metal Blade Records. Today WHITECHAPEL have revealed the album artwork track listing and have released the first single entitled "The Saw is the Law" from the new album.  Listen to the first offering from Our Endless War and pre-order the album, in exclusive bundle packages at http://www.metalblade.com/whitechapel.   "We are excited to announce our fifth full length studio album Our Endless War.  In typical WHITECHAPEL fashion, this CD takes the sound we have been developing over the past 8 years of our career and pushes it to new levels.  We want each record we release to sound different, and this one is no exception. With dashes of every record we have done so far mixed with the intensity of a new sound, this record is sure to please fans of WHITECHAPEL, old and new", says guitarist Alex Wade.

Having progressed with every record, onWhitechapel the band took a stylistic leap forward, garnering a whole army of new fans and greater critical respect in the process. This determination is immediately apparent. Having started to "seriously" write in February of 2013, the album was a year in the making, the band letting the writing develop organically while putting everything under a microscope, working harder on perfecting every song than they ever had before.

Famed for their three-guitar lineup, the band have always packed a crushing sonic punch, but on Our Endless War they take greater advantage of this than previously. Frequently, the seven-stringers build dramatic, incredibly heavy walls of thrilling noise through interweaving their parts, making for a sonic richness that pulls listeners even further into the songs.  As with all of WHITECHAPEL's releases the heaviness does not just stem from the music but Bozeman's lyrics, showing characteristic diversity across the record's ten tracks.

When it came to tracking the album the band considered no one beyond Mark Lewis, who helmed Whitechapel. "Making the self-titled record went so well, we loved the way it came out, our label loved the way it came out, and our fans kept telling us that it was our best sounding record so it would have been stupid not to work with him again!" laughs guitarist Alex Wade.  For the artwork, the band turned again to Aaron Marsh, who supplied WHITECHAPEL with its stark, arresting imagery, but again they wanted to push things to the next level. "With the sound maturing we felt like the artwork needed to reflect that. We also introduced a new logo - our old logo is classic Whitechapel, and that's not something we plan on getting rid of, but as the band grows and changes we felt like we needed the logo to represent the maturity of this new Whitechapel."

Leading up to the release of Our Endless War, WHITECHAPEL have confirmed a string of dates including an appearance at this year's New England Metal & Hardcore Festival.  These dates will being April 16th in Columbus, OH and run through April 27th in Birmingham, AL.  These shows feature support from Carnifex, Within the Ruins and Cruelhand.  More dates including a North American co-headlining North American tour are in the works and will be announced shortly.

Metal veterans UNEARTH have signed a North American record deal with eOne Music. The band plans to release a brand new LP later this year, their sixth spanning the band's 15 year tenure. Vocalist Trevor Phipps offers the state of the band and their intentions for this new release in his comments below:

"A new chapter has begun for Unearth as we have found a few new places to call home. By joining forces with eOne (North America), Century Media (Europe), Howling Bull (Japan) and 3Wise (Australia) we will have a more focused attack from some of the most well known and respected labels in the world. We know this new beginning of sorts will bring bigger and better things for Unearth and our fans and we couldn't be more excited for the future of all things Unearth. We are currently in the studio recording some of the most aggressive, anthemic and energized metal we have ever written and we look forward to unleashing it to you all when it is finished.  Expect to hear more about our new album, release dates and future world wide touring plans later this summer."

"We also want to take this opportunity to thank Metal Blade Records for being our label home for almost a decade. In that time we released four LP's and a double DVD, circled the Globe playing Heavy Metal dozens of times and experienced some of the greatest moments of our collective lives.  Metal Blade helped us along the path of our dream and we are eternally grateful.  We start new label relationships today, but we will always consider ourselves part of the Metal Blade Records family."

Swedish death metallers AMON AMARTH have set "Deceiver Of The Gods" as the title of their new album, due in June via Metal Blade Records. The CD was helmed by British producer Andy Sneap, who has previously worked with (MEGADETH, EXODUS, MACHINE HEAD, ARCH ENEMY and ACCEPT. The cover artwork for the effort, which will feature a guest appearance by former CANDLEMASS singer Messiah Marcolin, can be seen below.

Comments AMON AMARTH: "The cover depicts the last battle between the Gods and Loki who arrives at Vigridr field accompanied by the army of the dead during Ragnarok, the end of the world."

Regarding AMON AMARTH's decision to work with Sneap after utilizing Jens Bogren for the band's last three studio efforts (2006's "With Oden On Our Side", 2008's "Twilight Of The Thunder God" and 2011's "Surtur Rising"), AMON AMARTH guitarist Olavi Mikkonen told Decibel magazine, "We were looking for a change, and Andy has been in our thoughts for some years now. After meeting with him, we felt a good connection. We think this is going to be a ripper."
