DOWNPOUR started as a project without any expectations — just an unfettered desire to play music. Their initial, instrumental jam nights among the members offered a respite from real life — things like 9 to 5s, crumbling relationships, bills, and beyond. Their sessions were akin to therapy sessions and the music became increasingly heavy.

Soon, it morphed into a beast they could no longer hold back. It was becoming its own entity. The music they were creating was so invigorating that it convinced Shadows Fall vocalist Brian Fair to change lanes and join the band. It was a no-brainer, as Fair and drummer Derek Kerswill (Unearth, Seemless) solidified their musical chemistry when they played together in the aforementioned Shadows Fall in the early '00s.

The album was recorded in spurts over a four-month period in 2015. The band purposefully elected to sit on the record until the time to release it was just right. That time is now. Former Elektra executive Leigh Lust signed the band to PledgeMusic and will release the record.

Kerswill explains, "We consciously sat on the record for the last few years due to a lot of scheduling issues and we had all talked about the idea that back then. Everything was about content, and we wanted the days of Soundgarden and Tool-style mystery."

"When I was first approached by Derek about getting involved with the DOWNPOUR, ‪Shadows Fall was starting to come to an end and I wasn't sure I was ready to start working with another band," Fair admitted. "When he sent me the instrumental versions of the songs, I knew immediately that I had to get in! The combination of musicianship, unique songwriting style, and a groove that can't be fucked with just absolutely blew my mind."

Fair further states, "This was not only music I had always wanted to hear —  it was music that I thought would allow me to push myself as a vocalist and try totally new things. I tracked some lo-fi, home studio demos and sent them off to the boys, having no idea if they would be feeling what I was laying down but I know I was!  Luckily, they got my vision and encouraged me to push it even further."

The band, rounded out by guitarist Matt LeBreton and bassist Pete Gelles, continues to maintain that same vision.

"We wanted to make a unique metal record that represented our varied influences, unrestrained by sub- genre or any other restrictions," Fair says. "The vocal lines and lyrics seemed to flow effortlessly. The riffs and grooves really inspired me to find some deep and personal subject matter that I had yet to explore lyrically. Before I knew it, we had enough material for the record and we hadn't even all jammed in the same room yet!"

They eventually did come together and Fair labels those first rehearsals as "electric." Fans will be able to hear and feel that crackle in the finished product. For a taste of what to expect, go listen to "Without the Fear" right HERE.

Fans can pre-order the self-titled album via a variety of configurations and options with incentives HERE. Packages include items and collectibles for every level of fan! the digital album, autographed copies, vinyl, a signed and handwritten lyric sheet, a signed drumhead, the band performing your house party anywhere continental U.S., and the Nickel Bag of Funk, in which Fair will chop off a nickel bag-sized chunk of his infamous dreadlocks for the first time since 1995!

Newly formed rock band Stereo Satellite, featuring Lukas Rossi (Rock Star Supernova), Mike Orlando (Adrenaline Mob), John Moyer (Disturbed), and Jordan Cannata (Adrenaline Mob), has released the video for their debut single, "Glass Houses." Originally premiered on Loudwire, "Glass Houses" is the first single off of their new album tentatively set for April 2018 release. Fans can access exclusive content for the album release via the bands' PledgeMusic campaign found HERE.

Stereo Satellite plays hard rock music that flirts with alternative rock influences. By melding hook-filled melodies within heavy guitar riffs and hard beats, the band shows their ability to compact a vast array of influence and experience into a signature sound with substance, style, and spirit. Mike Orlando and Lukas Rossi are the key architects behind the band's vibrant, modern rock-inspired sound - powered by seamless songwriting adeptness that combines a story of both the joys and heartaches of life.

Mike Orlando is no stranger to heartaches, having recently been involved in a tragic accident on July 14, 2017 while on tour in Florida with his former band Adrenaline Mob. The crash occurred when a tractor-trailer veered off Interstate 75 and struck the band's RV, van, and trailer, which resulted in the death of Adrenaline Mob bassist David Zablidowsky, tour manager Jane Train, and seriously injuring six others.

"Over the past recent months, I have learned a lot about how cathartic music can be, especially after going through such a heinous life-changing tragedy", said Orlando. "It's been a complete uphill battle in even trying to begin to heal physically and mentally. I have a long road ahead for sure and will have to undergo many more procedures and ongoing therapy." Orlando adds, "I don't think I'll ever fully heal mentally but I've been moved to write songs again with my brother Lukas who I feel is an amazing songwriting partner, and start this new band along with my brothers John Moyer and Jordan Cannata. I find it really helps me to cope and I can't wait to share all the music we've written and start touring again full-time."

John Moyer admits to having mixed feelings about the band being dubbed a supergroup. “We hate the supergroup thing because it’s a new band in its own right,” Moyer says. “But I think it’s important for us to say we’ve been around the rock music scene for a long time and in various ways. Stereo Satellite is a new beginning for us all, and I’m looking forward to sharing our new music with the fans very soon.”

Lukas Rossi concurs, saying, “I can’t wait to release our new songs and perform them live with these awesome guys. Regarding the supergroup thing, look I don't care what you call us, just call us!"

Stereo Satellite has teamed with Loudwire to bring you the exclusive premiere of their video for "Glass Houses" below. With 2006's Dimevision Vol 1: That's The Fun I Have, fans of Dimebag Darrell and his work with Pantera and Damageplan were afforded the chance to see into the world of the legendary guitarist. Compiled from the many, many hours of video footage captured between the mid-80s and his later years, it was a funny, touching and poignant memorial.

Metal Blade Records is thrilled to announce the release of Dimevision Vol 2: Roll With It Or Get Rolled Over - another true celebration of the man and how he lived his life - on November 24, 2017. Pre-orders are available via Metal Blade HERE. The DVD/CD set - which will include more raw footage, true gems and classic Dimebag moments - will also include five previously unreleased demos, picked from a vast catalog Dimebag accrued since longtime girlfriend Rita Haney gave him his first 4-track in 1984.

Beginning today at 3:33pm Texas Central "Dime Time", a PledgeMusic campaign was launched to support the release of the set. There, you can also view an official Dimevision Vol 2: Roll With It Or Get Rolled Over trailer. In addition to acting as a pre-order for the set, the PledgeMusic campaign includes an assortment of rare items to buy, including props and costumes that belonged to Dimebag and that you can see in his home videos/Dimevision volumes, rare stage clothing, and other merchandise. Visit the PledgeMusic page here: https://www.pledgemusic.com/projects/dimevision2

Going into making Dimevision Vol 2: Roll With It Or Get Rolled Over, Rita Haney worked in collaboration with Daryl "Bobby Tongs" Arnberger, who was not only one of Dimebag's closest friends both on and off the road, but also worked as an official videographer for Pantera, Damageplan and a plethora of A-list musicians, from Slipknot to Dolly Parton, along with film editor Rob Fenn. After cataloguing hundreds of tapes, they chose 43 segments to create Dimevision Vol. 2.

Arnberger explains, "As we all watched, we envisioned certain segments and ideas coming to life in my head, and rather than it serving as a memorial, this second DVD is more about the vision Dime had in his head for this footage, what he actually wanted it to become. This one is more uplifting, funny, and it stays 100% true to his idea for Dimevision."

Fans of the original know that this way of life involved a lot of whiskey, an insane amount of fireworks and a contagious desire to have fun - and like its predecessor, the title is also drawn from the words of the man himself. Having a habit of latching onto a saying or a phrase, this soon became part of his particular dialect, affectionately dubbed 'Dime-bonics'. "It comes from something he was saying a lot in 2003 and 2004," Haney recalls. "He'd call from the road and he'd say 'man, I'm beat up out here, but that's the highs and lows of rock and roll. You gotta roll with it or get rolled over.'"

"He had a unique way of seeing things, and he always lived with a video camera," adds Haney. "No matter where we went he was always capturing what was going on, and myself and others around him were filming a lot too. In putting out these videos I just want people to see the way he was, 24/7. What you saw on stage and backstage, that was how he lived."

Unsuspecting visitors to the couple's home were regularly drawn in - memorable segments involve girl scouts selling cookies and Dimebag experiencing an "interesting" CPAP machine fitting - and events as mundane as taking a friend to get a pedicure become hilarious, thanks to his particular way of seeing the world. As endlessly entertaining as Dimebag was, there were of course other, deeper sides to his personality, which are also reflected in both volumes. Haney adds, "There were some really touching, deep, heavy and emotional moments in the first one, where he's talking about himself to the camera while in the shower. Filming himself like that was something he did a lot, and you'd have no clue until you're looking through the tapes and come across them, and when you do the goosebumps crawl all over you. People that love and know Darrell are going to be touched by what he has to say, because it's him telling you for the first time."

As for his included demos, Dimebag not only wrote down the lyrics and dates of everything he recorded but also his thoughts on it at the time, which Haney will also be sharing with fans. However, she's quick to point out that no one should expect high production standards ("It's called a 4-track for a reason!") and that these are not 'lost' Pantera tracks. "These songs come from his off-time, it was entertainment to him - one of them was even inspired by a George Michael solo record coming out back in the 80s!" she laughs. "But he loved making music and he appreciated all kinds of music, whether he was making a joke of it or not, it still caught his ear, and I hope people can enjoy these songs for what they are and the spirit they were made in."

With so much footage left over, fans can rest assured that as fulfilling as Dimevision Vol 2: Roll With It Or Get Rolled Over is, there's still a lot to look forward to. Haney says, "We hope to make [Dimevision] an annual thing. It will all depend on if the fans want it and support it!"

Die So Fluid started writing fifth studio album "One Bullet From Paradise", in 2015. Their plan was to write a heavier, more instant album than their previous release The Opposites Of Light.

However, while the music remained fiercely uptempo, the lyrical content and themes grew darker as storm clouds swelled above them. Mid-US tour their record company evaporated alongside financial support and soon after their long-time manager disappeared without warning.

Both events seemed trivial when founder member, drummer and friend Al Fletcher died suddenly in July 2016 in the week he was due to start recording drums. Grog and Mr Drew reflected for a time then decided to finish the album. They wrote new songs. No holds barred. Harder, heavier, faster, punkier. No filler. No fat. No fucking around. Life is short. Or, to paraphrase new song 'Tomorrow Doesn't Always Come',

By late 2016 they had enlisted drummer Justin Bennett (Skinny Puppy, Thrill Kill Kult) to play on the album and mix some of the songs. Grog recorded bass & vocals in LA, Mr Drew guitars, synths, loops and noises in London, and Justin, drums in Bologna, Italy.

Renowned graphic novelist and film director Dan Schaffer came on board and drew original album artwork (think Walking Dead meets Mad Max), perfectly encapsulating the attitude of 11 incendiary new songs.

The album tackles a firestorm of social commentary in ‘HumanUNkind’, ‘We Were Born To Kill Each Other’ and ‘One Bullet From Paradise’, affairs of the heart in ‘No More Stars’, ‘Farewell’ and ‘Uncomplicated’, dark matters of the mind in ‘Terrible Thing’, and a call to arms in ‘Skeleton Suit’, ‘Bittersweet’and ‘Manifest’.

A limited edition 2-CD pre-order is available now via PledgeMusic and includes an exclusive, previously unavailable live album recorded in Tempe, Arizona featuring Grog, Mr Drew and Al. The album Draw a Line and Cross It - Live in Arizona showcases the band in full flight, sound and glorious technicolour. It's existential, Baby!

Die So Fluid's new album will be released on December 1st 2017 via Strataville Records! Pre-orders are available via PledgeMusic over HERE. A percentage of all pledges will be donated to the Sepsis Trust in memory of our fallen colleague Al right here https://sepsistrust.org/.
