German progressive death metal masters, OBSCURA, are set to return to the U.S. this spring for the 'Stardust Tour.' The 18-date run begins on March 15th at the legendary Whisky-A-Go-Go in Hollywood, includes key stops in Austin, Philadelphia, and Detroit, and concludes on April 3rd in Roseville, CA. They will be joined by ALLEGAEON, COGNITIVE, and CRYPTOSIS.

OBSCURA's Steffen Kummerer comments, “OBSCURA will return to the United States in March and April 2026 as part of the ongoing 'A Sonication World Tour' (2025–2027). We look forward to presenting material from the new album alongside a selection of deep cuts that have never been performed live before. Joining us are Allegaeon and Cognitive from the United States—both leading forces in modern technical and progressive death metal—and Dutch avant-garde thrash unit Cryptosis, completing a powerful and diverse lineup. The ‘Stardust USA 2026’ tour promises an immersive and uncompromising live experience for our North American fans.”

“The Vortex of Violence Tour” with headliner’s Warbringer was a fun time! Having arrived at the venue that is the Teragram Ballroom, a little after 7PM, catching the second to the last performers, called Allegaeon, they were a creative mix, combining melodic power metal, mixed with death metal by the sounds of it. Their energy was fun, yet mellow, keeping a rather easy going pace among the crowd of on lookers. The pit was moving quite lightly but still maintaining a momentum, these guys had a very lively feel to their performance, that it was nice being able to catch them play at least.

ALLEGAEON:

Following them would be headliner’s Warbringer performing for a solid hour long set, performing a little early than usual. Going on at 8:30PM and wrapping up round 9:30PM, their set was good as ever before. Lots of facial expressions, fast instrumentals, with lots of movements coming from the audience with headbanging, mosh pit action, and crowd surfers, with even some stage divers, it was intensity throughout. The performance even had the band bring out an actual sword that the singer gladly twirled around, showing it off quite proudly it made their performance that more breath taking. But not only was weaponry done, but an actual “tug of war” broke out, between the left and right side crowd of the venue, who ended up winning but the right side! This all out tug of war had gotten started during the band’s finale of the night with the song “Total War”. It was fun little piece of entertainment that made this evening that more memorable.

WARBRINGER:

Whilst this show was rather short it was very sweet nonetheless. The performances given by the acts caught at the end, brought out the fun and pure excitement through and through. Warbringer being a break out thrash band, that is at their peak of perfection, making each and every performance seen by far, one to never forget.

Modern thrash titans WARBRINGER recently announced their highly anticipated new album, Wrath And Ruin, out March 14, 2025 via Napalm Records, with the release of cataclysmic single "A Better World." Today, the band returns to sound the beacon, announcing their upcoming North American co-headline tour with death metal stalwarts Allegaeon. Featuring support from Skeletal Remains and Summoning The Lich, "The Vortex of Violence Tour" kicks off March 18 in San Diego, CA, pillaging through several major cities including Montreal, QC, Toronto, ON, Chicago, IL and Denver, CO before concluding the campaign of carnage in Los Angeles, CA on April 12th 2025! Check out the dates below.

About the tour, frontman Jon Kevill says:

"We are announcing our first run of 2025, where we will be raining down Wrath and Ruin across the USA and Canada! We will be joined by a full arsenal of vicious brutality with Allegaeon, Skeletal Remains, and Summoning the Lich providing fire support. We will be playing new songs as well as old live favorites, and we will be going all gas no brakes every night, as you've come to expect. Get down to the show, mosh like there's no tomorrow, and enter the Vortex of Violence!"

Allegaeon has released their cover of "Animate", worldwide on all digital music services.

Guitarist Greg Burgess elaborates: "When we settled on Rush to cover during the "Proponent" sessions, I simply couldn't pick which song to do. "Subdivisions" or "Animate." Both were favorites for me personally, and both were sort of "under the radar" eg. not "Tom Sawyer" or "Spirit of the Radio." Where the original idea was to do a cover for a Japanese bonus track, we figured if we did both we could cover a special song for both the Japan AND Europe pressing. Then the powers that be decided to just include "Subdivisions" on the album, and keep "Animate" in reserve for something. Jan 6th, 2018 is the only occurrence of the golden ratio in date form that will occur during our life time. So 1.6.18 seemed like the perfect date to release it in Allegaeon fashion."

Virginia-based melodic tech-death metal masters ARSIS proudly announce the ten year anniversary tour commemorating the release of the band’s debut 2004 album A Celebration Of Guilt.  Presented by MetalSucks.net, the 19-date “A Decade Of Guilt” September tour through the U.S. and Canada will feature  ARSIS playing the album in its entirety. Colorado’s technical melodic death metallers ALLEGAEON will be direct support; opening each night will be Los Angeles’ technical melodic death thrashers EXMORTUS.

“Ten years ago, I was a full-time college student that was given an opportunity,” states ARSIS guitarist, songwriter, and founding member James Malone. “The musical project that I had been working on 'for fun' on breaks from school was asked to record a full-length album for a small independent record label. I had no idea at the time what the response would be to it or if there would be any response at all. Almost as soon as the album was released - much to my surprise - we were getting attention from around the world and my life was forever changed. That album was called ‘A Celebration Of Guilt’ and myself and everyone in ARSIS would like to celebrate its ten year anniversary by playing the album in its entirety on tour. Many of songs have not been played live in years, if ever. Here's to a decade of guilt and METAL!!!"
