Hollywood Undead unveiled a new version of their hit single, "Whatever It Takes," featuring notable recording artists Prodigal Sunn, Demrick, and Fudd Rukus. The mixtape edition of the song is available to stream and purchase on digital retailers, and fans can grab a listen and watch the music video as well. The video was once again directed by Brian Cox, who has been at the helm for other signature Hollywood Undead videos including "California Dreaming" and "Black Cadillac." The original track appears on the band’s fifth studio album, "FIVE", released October 27th, 2017 via Dove & Grenade Media/BMG.

"It's such an honor for us as a band to share this song with some extremely talented artists and friends," says Johnny 3 Tears, Hollywood Undead’s vocalist and bass guitarist. "The song is about doing whatever we have to in order to overcome any circumstance, which is something everyone goes through in life. It's amazing to hear new stories on the same song. What's your story?"

Check out the video HERE.

It’s a very small list of bands that can claim they’ve had their own comic book published and now Hollywood Undead can add their name to that list.  On December 6th, Hollywood Undead will partner with Heavy Metal Magazine to star in their own comic: "Undead Origins."

Written by Paul Allor, the comic follows Hollywood Undead's members as they discover a deep conspiracy; all across Los Angeles, people are acting unnaturally happy and compliant. People in the counterculture are suddenly fitting into society, finding square jobs and loving them. Is it clones? Robots? Alien replacements? The crew discovers that in reality, it’s a system of mental and physical alteration, funded by a powerful tech mogul-turned City Councilman. And what’s more, the “victims” aren’t victims at all; they’re undergoing the process voluntarily. But our guys won’t stand for that. They work to destroy the facility, assisted by like-minded people from across the city.

This 56-page comic ties in with the release of Hollywood Undead's fifth studio album: FIVE.  The issue will hit retail shops on December 6th, however fans can order it directly from the band’s web store (http://smarturl.it/FiveStore) and receive it around the street date of their new album.

Hollywood-based Metal outfit BUTCHER BABIES are set to release their third studio album, Lilith, on October 27th via Century Media Records. The band is thrilled to announce that pre-orders for the new album are available now in both physical and digital formats. Speaking about the unique pre-order packages for Lilith, Carla Harvey (vocals) comments:

"In anticipation of 'Lilith', we wanted to offer unique pre-sale bundles that are special to us. Not only do we have the album, limited edition vinyl, and t-shirts up for grabs, but we are also offering limited edition items curated by myself and Heidi. One such item is a gorgeous lyric book for Lilith featuring never before seen illustrations by me and graphics by Heidi.  Another item is our signature Lilith pendant, a darling necklace handcrafted by us for our Butcher Army. You can find all the details on our pre-order site www.ButcherBabiesOfficial.com"

BUTCHER BABIES - 'Lilith' Pre-order: http://smarturl.it/BBLilith

Fans that pre-order Lilith will also receive the album's title track as an Instant Grat. Speaking about the first offering from their new album, Heidi Shepherd (vocals) states:

"After a year of writing and recording we are thrilled with the growth and maturity of this album. Leading with our title track 'Lilith', the artistic development within the band shines. We worked with producer, Steve Evetts to bring you the rawest form of Butcher Babies. No auto-tune, 100% real drums, real guitars, real bass, and an all out Butcher Babies assault on your senses. As we know in this industry, these standards are quickly replaced by machines and can eliminate what makes a band an actual band. We are so proud of the hard work and dedication that each member of our team put in to create this masterpiece."

BUTCHER BABIES will make their much awaited return to the road in North America alongside Hollywood Undead as part of a two month run in the states. With shows already sold out in Hollywood, Des Moines, St. Louis, and Madison, WI, fans can find a complete list of dates below.

* - Butcher Babies Headlining (No Hollywood Undead)

Hollywood Undead have just released the second track/video from their forthcoming album called “Whatever It Takes.”  The band’s own Charlie Scene co-directed the clip and remarked: “The song is about being driven by your own determination to succeed no matter what anyone else thinks. I wanted the video to show that same message." You can check out the world premiere of the video on Vevo here: http://smarturl.it/WhateverItTakesVEVO.

The number five holds a deep significance. We have five senses. Five points adorn a star. Five represents man in theology. For the five members of Hollywood Undead—Johnny 3 Tears, J-Dog, Charlie Scene, Funny Man, and Danny—the digit perfectly encapsulates their fifth full-length offering—FIVE [Dove & Grenade Media/BMG].  Fans can pre-order the new album from here: http://smarturl.it/HUFive.

“We’re five brothers, and this is our fifth record,” affirms Johnny 3 Tears.  “Nothing gets to the essence of the music like this number does. Numerology has a lot of power. When we said Five, it just made sense. The fact that we could all agree on one word codifies who we are. It also nods back to ‘No. 5’ from our first album, because it was our fifth song. Moreover, it hints at this secret society of fans supporting us for the past decade. The number is significant, and this is a significant moment for us.”

The band have just released the first single/video from their forthcoming album called “California Dreaming.”  You can check out the world premiere of the video on Vevo here: http://smarturl.it/CaliforniaDreamingV.

Powered by neck-snapping guitars and fast and furious bars, the song cycles between guttural rapping and quick quips. Everything culminates on the choral chant “We never sleep, in California we’re dreaming.”

“It dissects both sides of California,” J-Dog reveals. “You’ve got the glitz, glamour, sun, and surf. Then, you’ve got the super fucked side of people not being able to afford rent, celebrities being assholes, and that fake façade. We wanted to do a heavy song with a Red Hot Chili Peppers-esque chorus. It’s an old school vibe explored in a new way.”

The band is pleased to announce a new set of dates in support of V which will begin on September 30th at the Louder Than Life festival. For all U.S. headline shows, Butcher Babies will serve as direct support. Check out the dates below.

When the concept of rap meets rock hit the scene back in the late 90s with the likes of Limp Bizkit, Korn, Papa Roach, and Linkin Park those acts were able to pull it off keeping it clean and unique. Then once the new millennium had struck a chord the music scene developed ever so further it was unbearable at times.

As if that was then and even now the music is still expanding ever so further that new comers BrokeNCYDE and Hollywood Undead has taken the likes of rap meets rock and exposed it to an even further exposition. Like once Hollywood Undead debut hit home to the Los Angeles, California terrain, everyone knew who these guys were , so of course with such a success and a loss of a member the band continued to develop and expose themselves with their music.

Now on their third release they have returned to their previous roots in their music, going back to how things sounded when "Swan Songs" was first being written and recorded and is what you can expect to hear when listening in on their third album entitled "Notes From The Underground". With the release of already two tracks off this release, "We Are" ad Dead Bite" there was little to no expectations to be left behind on wondering how this could turn out.

Luckily for them these were highly praised as was other mentionable tunes such as "From The Ground",  "Kill Everyone" and "Believe".  The material takes on a path that picks up the pace of rap rock but sets foot into the pop dimension having various "ballad like" tunes layered here and there.

It just becomes clear that this release is pretty much one of those de-ja-view experiences you may have seen coming time and time again.

Its deep foundation in rock – including bands like Deftones and Oleander, music executives coming out of the area, and vital stations like KDOT, KBRE, and our partner station 98 Rock – proves that rock is a mainstay in Northern California.”
