Alternative go getters Awaken The Empire, have gone through some rough patches more than once. Having formed in 2009 being based in Los Angeles, California then relocating to Seattle, Washington sometime later, the band went on to go through a series of changes.... One being a band line-up change replacing previous bassist Jaymz Marcc with Romina Fronti who took over as bassist and backing vocalist. Another change up was the band's namesake going from Awaken The Empire to Delta Wave, in which they released a single entitled "We Control The Lights". Other changes followed suit from them getting signed to Century Media Records to being swapped out into Another Century Records, a partnership to Century Media's company. But it didn't stop there the band went on to further matters that lead them right back to where they started with Awaken The Empire.

Returning to using their original namesake Awaken The Empire and keeping bassist/backing vocalist Romina Fronti, aiming for the future with the release of their debut album "Aurora", where they worked alongside producer Erik Ron whose done work with other acts, like Panic at the Disco, Good Charlotte, and Get Scared. All of this would then cause them to play some minor showcases on and off, later a tour with more showcases popping up here and there, including one back where they called home, Los Angeles, California in the infamous Hollywood. At one of its many notorious venues the Viper Room.

The band's label Another Century/Century Media decided to put together a special industry showcase that featured some of its most highlighted and recent acts to be signed on, XO Stereo, Awaken The Empire, 9Electric, and Vattica. Awaken The Empire went on second on this special bill showcase, playing roughly around 9:45PM to around 10:15PM doing a solid setlist of around 6 tunes, including such singles as "Insomniacs Unite", "We Control The Lights", "Cross My Heart", and "Rise And Fall". Their performance style was chalk full of energy, passion, and motivation. The crowd was really embracing the band's presents, music, and drive for them, wanting to performing at such a specialized showcase.

The band themselves, did do a good job of it. Each member individually showed their talent of instrumental skill, like the drummer for one, was very interactive, clapping his hands during some of the band's set, while the bassist was laid back, doing her backup vocals, playing along to the tone of the music, while the two guitarists, took part in their own riffs and solo tactics that kept everything together. Their frontman vocalist/guitarist Damien Lawson really went all out, getting down on his knees, playing his heart out, really singing the lyrics of the material the band had written so compelling it was flawless.

Awaken The Empire:

Awaken The Empire may have been the second act to go on, but they blew everyone away and was the most talked about act playing at this showcased event. Everyone in earshot and height sight were in aw to what they were capable of doing as musicians and it showed beautifully.

Awaken The Empire formerly known as Delta Wave that had released a previous single "We Control The Lights" changed their name back to it's originality Awaken The Empire. That lead them to include new members as well as further details including their signing on to Another Century Records and Street Smart Management.

But it doesn't stop there, the band went on to write and record for what would be their debut album and follow-up to previous debut EP "The Awakening" (2011) along with such singles as "Savior", "The Awakening", "Rise and Fall", "Know Your Place", and "Cross My Heart", called "Auroa", due out this summer on July 24th 2015. The first single and video off the album has been released and is called "Insomniacs Unite" which can be heard and seen HERE.

The band has given the following statement in regards to their album's announcement; "We have been waiting FOREVER to make this announcement! THANK YOU to everyone that has supported our band, and our dreams! We love you INSOMNIACS!"

Adding on that "Awaken The Empire is more than just a band. We are a movement. We are here to inspire people to fight for their dreams, and fight to have their voices heard. Our new record, Aurora, is the product of that fight. We have been through an unbelievable amount of ups and downs in the years making this album, and we've had everything taken away from us, both physically, and emotionally. Through it all, the one constant for us, the light at the end of the tunnel, was this record coming out. The chance to have our message heard. We are here to make a statement, and Aurora is that statement. Aurora is that message." - Damien Lawson.

The album was produced by Erik Ron whose done work with such acts as Panic! At The Disco, New Years Day, and Motionless In White. Expect the album's tracklisting, pre-orders, and further singles and videos to be coming soon! For now check out the album's potential artwork!

Awaken The Empire is one of many acts to deal with problems whether it'd be within the band, label, management, the issue at hand varies. In any case, these guys were successful, touring, playing shows, even released videos and singles including an EP titled "The Awakening". Things were rolling right along as they should until everything fell a part then got picked up under their new name Delta Wave, having that act release some music "We Control The Lights" being one of their singles.

Things were moving right along as they were before but again came to a stand still then everything changed yet again back to were it was once before, back to Awaken The Empire. They went on to change their social media Facebook page back to this name, as well as added a few new photos displaying the name that once was... Furthermore the band released a video seen HERE indicating that their debut album will finally see a release in 2015! Under a new marketing and label company Street Smart Marketing.

In close, Awaken The Empire have arisen from where they once came, will be releasing new music and playing shows and touring to follow through soon!

Alternative-Rock band from Seattle, Washington Awaken The Empire has come a long way since getting started way back in 2009. Through the years the band had made a name for themselves including touring, playing various showcases, to even releasing music videos and an EP release. All was going well for them that the EP release lead to the process of a full-length debut, that fans had the chance to hear first in 2012 at a special listening party event. But after that point and time everything soon began to change, band members left and new member's would replace them, but soon after they would get signed with Century Media Records and later on change their name to Delta Wave.

When asked about the debut album that was heard in 2012 and if the old songs would be sung at future showcases, frontman vocalist, guitarist, and programmer Damien Lawson said "The album recorded as Awaken The Empire will still come out just under the new name. So the old songs are still a part of us. But there's also new music, a new member, and really its a new band."

Awaken The Empire had made a posting on their Facebook page leading fans to the band's official website with the following message;

Their debut album will make it's mark in 2014!

Now the first single off their upcoming yet to be titled debut full-length called "Cross My Heart" on Alternative Magazine's website check it out HERE.

Frontman vocalist/guitarist/programmer Damien Lawson had this to say in regards to the single “The general theme behind our band is that of an underground movement to encourage people to follow their dreams at all costs. If we were a movie, it would be somewhere between Donnie Darko (dark, romantic, schizophrenic, sarcastic, funny, complex) and Inception (mysterious, powerful, hidden agenda, purposely confusing).”

Eletronica rock act Awaken The Empire has premiered their all new video for "The Awakening" the title track to their debut EP. Since that release the band has gone on to get signed with Burn the Records! an indie record label and are currently in the studio with producer Erik Ron who's worked with Get Scared and Versa Emerge to begin work on their full-length debut. In regards to this new video of theirs the band goes on to say that "We love hiding cryptic messages in everything we do and 'The Awakening' video is no exception. There are so many little secret messages hidden throughout the entire four and a half minutes," telling Noisecreep adding on that "Collaborating with Chad on the video was such an amazing experience. Being fans of his past work, we knew that our visual aesthetic would complement each other, but we were totally blown away by his ability to perfectly capture the vibe of the song."

Awaken The Empire’s “The Awakening” is indeed the band’s debut EP and since its release the band has gone on to release not one but two music videos for the title track and “Know Your Place”. As such these two alone really put this band in perspective for the listener. These guys combine the raw energy of hard rock with a mixture of techno driven atmosphere that really captures their creativity within.

The guitars are flawless with driven focus and energy that is endless as the EP goes through each of the instruments does its part while the vocals are sung with such power and pride that you can’t but smile as you’re either singing along or pulsing your fist in the air to the beat.

Awaken The Empire is filled with pulsing energy that will continue to dominate their creativity right on into their full-length debut said to be released sometime in the distant future.

Hollywood, Californians Awaken The Empire have fused together the essence that is alternative music with eletronica music to embed a source that is totally out of this world. The band discusses with me their all new EP "Awakening" and how it's impacted themselves as a band and how it's affected the fan base that they have grown to accept as their brand new family.

1. Your guys new EP "Awakening" has been released and you made it available for free download, why did you want to go this route?

Damien: We have always been more concerned with getting our art/message out into the world, than with making money. The Awakening EP was our first release, and we really just wanted to see what the response would be if we just put it out there...

2. What have the fans and critics said about the EP and it being what it is and being for free?

Shivan: The response has been absolutely amazing! All of the reviews from the critics have been overwhelmingly great!

Daryl: The coolest thing is that even though the EP is free, fans write us all the time, saying that they bought it on iTunes, just to support us!

3. Tell me about the writing process for it, what are your songs about?

Damien: I typically come up with the overall concept for a song, and then as a band we form it into the final product.

4. Why did you want to go with naming it "Awakening"?

Daryl: The Awakening EP is our first release, and it just feels like it's the beginning of something huge for us. It's phase 1 in an elaborate plan.

5. What about the album cover it’s the city skyline of some city is it the one you’re from?

Damien: We chose to put Los Angeles on the cover, because that's where we're from, and it's where our movement started. The concept behind the cover art is an explosion of light and energy, emanating from within the city.

6. "Know Your Place" is the current single and music video you have available why did you go with choosing this particular tune and what’s the concept behind the video?

Damien: To be honest... We knew that we wanted to release The Awakening as a single on a larger scale, and by putting out Know Your Place first we gambled that it would buy us enough time to get signed, and build a loyal fan base... Luckily for us, it all worked out! We just shot the video for The Awakening with our amazing Director Chad Michael Ward, and it's going to be released on November 1st!

The concept behind the Know Your Place video is hidden within the video itself. We're not saying that the video has secret/subliminal messages hidden in it.... but the video definitely has secret/subliminal messages hidden in…it.

7. Are you in writing mode for your debut full-length?

Jaymz: Yeah! We are actually going into the studio on October 17th with producer Erik Ron (D.R.U.G.S., Get Scared, Panic at The Disco) to record a bunch of new music! We aren't exactly sure how we are going to be releasing it yet... It may be in the form of a full length album, or as multiple EP's.

8. How about touring are you on the road at this moment or just kicking back?

Jaymz: Right now we are focused on writing and recording, but there are definitely plans in the works for getting us out on the road in early 2012.

9. You use alternative and eletronica as your genre of choice why did you want to go in that direction?

Damien: Our mixture of Alternative and Electronica is just something that happened naturally...

10. On your guys Facebook you put under record label "Burn The Records!" does that mean you’re flying solo and self-releasing everything or do you hope to one day get signed?

Shivan: Burn the Records! is the actual name of the label we're signed to. The name is a play on words, meaning "Destroy the Evidence". We have been so lucky to have the full support of a label that is being built around our band!

11. What is one thing about Awaken The Empire that everyone just "has" to know?

Damien: We are more than just a band. We are a movement... Watch closely or you may miss it.
