 A new digital single from HATCHET has been unleashed and surprisingly it’s the band’s cover of the W.A.S.P. classic “Hellion” from the LA shock rockers 1984 self-titled debut album, which just celebrated its 40th anniversary last week.

“Fist-pumping, headbanging, hardest of hard rock songs is what WASP's ‘Hellion’ makes me feel. Few songs can take me from bored, sleepy, end of the day dredge to just full-on can't sit still in your seat, rockin’ out with your cock out!” reveals HATCHET singer/guitarist Julz Ramos.

“While there's definitely heavier, faster, music galore out there, something about the energy in the recording of that specific song from that early time period of the band just can't be beat. I've always wanted to play this song in some way. So here we go!

I really do have to lend a big thanks to our bassist and (ANUBIS frontman) Devin Reiche for helping with the melodic vocal duties on this one. It was a bit of a challenge for me, but with some coaching and his vocals in there thickening it up, it really enabled it to become a reality.”

DESTRUCTION have dropped a cover version of Accept’s world-famous hit, “Fast as a Shark”, alongside a new visualizer video. The song is featured on the two-track 12’’ vinyl in the very limited fan edition, 'No Kings – No Masters'. It is heating up the anticipation for the ‘Klash of the Ruhrpott’ on July 20, 2024, where the Teutonic 4 (DESTRUCTION, alongside Kreator, Sodom and Tankard) will be reunited this year. Fans are so excited by this unique event that it was sold out within only three days! This show clearly promises to celebrate thrash metal in its purest form and solidify its legacy in the genre.

21st century rock vanguards FROM ASHES TO NEW kick off the holiday season with a new music video for their spirited rock cover of Mariah Carey’s iconic holiday staple “All I Want For Christmas Is You.” It’s out now, via Better Noise Music’s YouTube channel. The energetic cover, originally released last December, was lauded by ABC Audio for its “big guitars and screaming vocals” and was a quick hit with fans garnering viral attention on TikTok with nearly 1 million views and 100k likes. 

“We always thought it would be sick to do a Christmas song and what better than Mariah Carey’s iconic ‘All I Want For a Christmas Is You,’ says FROM ASHES TO NEW vocalist Matt Brandyberry. “We wanted to see what the world would think of a minor feel to a major song but weren’t expecting to hear that Mariah herself loved the track!”

Los Angeles, CA – Goth rock all-stars, The 69 Eyes, are setting the scene alight with another high-profile hit, hot on the heels of their gothabilly transformation of The Cramps’ “Aloha From Hell.” Their latest release comes just in time to bring the summer heat, as they roar to the forefront with a fiery rendition of Rammstein's explosive hit, "Feuer Frei!" This scorching track was originally released as the fifth single from the German industrial giants’ third album, Mutter, which debuted on April 2nd, 2001, and has since sold nearly 1.7 million records worldwide. On August 9th, 2002, “Feuer Frei!” made its film debut in the Rob Cohen action feature, xXx, starring Vin Diesel, and can be heard in its near entirety at the beginning of the film, which takes place at a Rammstein concert.

Southern Californian melodic death shredders EXMORTUS have revealed the final single, "Storm Of Strings," ahead of the highly anticipated release of their 6th studio album, "Necrophony," that's out August 25th from Nuclear Blast Records. On their latest song, EXMORTUS puts their signature shred into a cover of legendary new age artist Yanni’s song “The Storm,” which was based off of the great Baroque composer Antonio Vivaldi’s concertos “The Four Seasons.”

Julien-K was born in 2003, brought to life by the creative alliance between Orgy co-founders, Amir Derakh and Ryan Shuck. While working on Orgy’s third album, Punk Statik Paranoia (2004), Shuck and Derakh began to realize that their creative vision differed from that of singer, Jay Gordon. While Shuck and Derakh wanted Orgy to pursue a more experimental, electronic path, Gordon wanted the band to be heavier with more rock influence. That is when the "Julien-K experiment” began.

True to their revolutionary ways, Julien-K’s signature blend of rock, pop, and dark electro transforms Rammstein’s “Radio,” which highlights the electronic and boundary-pushing foundation upon which Julien-K was built. This experimental ingenuity became the mainstage for an international career spanning two decades, as they continue to maintain their place in the spotlight, in a league all their own.

Falling In Reverse have released a cover song of Papa Roach's song "Last Resort".

"I wanted to reimagine one of the biggest rock songs of the last 20 years, because lyrically, it is so powerful and resonates," says Ronnie Radke. "I got the blessing from [singer] Jacoby [Shaddix] and I think that Papa Roach are one of the nicest, humble, and most down to earth bands to date and it inspires me to keep going, since they have been so successful for so many years. This is me paying homage in the best way I know how."

Following on from the release of their debut album ‘December’ in August 2022, Israeli symphonic metallers StormbounD have returned with a video cover of the Queen's classic track “The Show Must Go On”, which was released on April 7th, 2023!

Speaking about why they chose to go with this track, the band stated:

"First of all, most of us are Queen fans. One day we were just fooling around with this song's intro at rehearsal, and it felt like something that could fit our sound and style, so we learned the entire song and played it at the next show. Ever since then, we can't do a show without it so we figured out that if everyone enjoys it, we might as well record the thing. It felt really good to take such an iconic song and give it a little energy boost while keeping the original version's harmonies, and we hope we've done it justice."

After entering several international charts with their latest album, Curse of Autumn, WITHERFALL have shared the video for their special cover of Boston's illustrious "Foreplay/Long Time," entitled "Long Time (Long Version)." The song has been available as an Acoustic Version on Curse of Autumn, as well as slightly shorter Band Version on the Japanese edition of the album. 

"Witherfall are huge fans of Boston," the band says. "We are obviously influenced by the rich guitar and vocal harmony work. Joseph grew up in upstate New York, and Tom Scholz would come to his grandpa's lawnmower shop for repair work. Upon becoming interested in playing guitar, Joseph would frequent Bank Place Guitars, a shop owned by Joe Bonamassa's father and Tom Scholz. Our version of Boston's 'Foreplay/Long Time' is a tribute to one of the greatest voices in rock and roll history — Boston vocalist Brad Delp, who in 2007, tragically took his own life. The re-working of this song reflects the true emotions behind the lyrical content. RIP."

Better Noise Music recording artists, The HU debut  their ‘hunnu rock’ cover of Metallica’s “Sad But True” today, along with a music video.   The track is a unique take on the beloved classic that has over 142 Million streams on Spotify alone.

The HU’s distinct style allows listeners to hear this song in a completely new way. The band added traditional Mongolian instrumentation along with their signature style of throat singing and swapped out “Sad But True”’s English lyrics for their native language, Mongolian. The same distorted guitar melody from the original song helps drive the song forward, but the originality and musical prowess of The HU’s distinguishing sound makes this track stand out on its own.
