Hard rockers RATTLE BONES have their debut album "Silver Bullets" out now, in which you can experience rock n' roll like never before... But not only have they released this album, but their follow-up album is expected in the next year! The band talks about this release, and further plans ahead for them.
1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
Rattle Bones was formed in early 2024 when Gary Martin (Vocals, Guitars, and Songwriting) joined up with Tom Hohn (Drums) and Eric Rodger (Bass). Gary played for many years with Los Angeles based rockers The Claws, and he brought that level of professionalism to the band. Tom had been with many touring acts, but most notably, garage rock legends the Cynics. Eric has been an active musician for years and is a mainstay in the Pittsburgh music scene.
2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?
The music created by Rattle Bones should get you moving, get your “bones rattling”; it’s a sonic voodoo.
3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?
Rattle Bones is based out of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. There are many talented musicians in the area, but the rock music scene has been inundated by tribute bands and cover bands, which makes it difficult to land great gigs. We go out of town a lot.
4. How would you describe your style?
Hard rock n roll. Energetic rockers, moody jams, thoughtful lyrics. The sound of Saturday night excess morphing into Sunday morning regret.
5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?
Rattle Bone released its debut album this year, titled “Silver Bullets”. Expect an album that you can listen to day or night, any time of year, and rock out or vibe out.
6. Do you have any new music in the works?
We are in the recording process for album #2, to be released in 2026.
7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?
We have had a pretty busy schedule of dates since our inception. We like to do short runs up to New York City, Boston, Buffalo NY, and we’re about to embark on some California dates in a few weeks.
8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?
Rattle Bones is all about creating good music. We plan to continue writing good music, and spreading the word about Rattle Bones. We also want to connect with a booking agent that will help us line up a tour in the UK/EU.
9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?
Our debut CD is available on our Bandcamp -https://rattlebonespgh.bandcamp.com/album/silver-bullets-3 and our music can be streamed and downloaded on ALL of the streaming sites, most notably Spotify and Apple Music.
10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?
I would like the listener to pick up on a clever or meaningful lyric that they could adapt to their situation.
