Declan McKenna, the 19-year-old British singer-songwriter, stopped by Rolling Stone’s studios recently to perform an unplugged set for the latest installment of their "Take One" series. Watch McKenna’s intimate performance of "Brazil," "Make Me Your Queen," and "Humongous," which Rolling Stone says highlights "his soulful voice and simple, hooky song structures," right HERE.

Declan McKenna has also sold out thirty-one dates on his extensive U.S. headlining tour, in cities including Austin, Nashville, Seattle, Vienna (DC Metro Area), Berkeley, & Phoenix (full dates below). This year’s tour, in support of his new album "What Do You Think About The Car?", is McKenna’s longest stateside visit, and due to demand, shows have been added or upgraded to larger rooms in Decatur, GA (Atlanta Area), Syracuse, and Evanston, IL (Chicago area) full dates below. Additionally, Declan McKenna is confirmed for 2018’s Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, as well as a performance at Mexico City’s El Plaza Condesa on April 17th 2018. Alongside his headlining dates, Declan McKenna will appear at fourteen area high schools in cities on this tour, for an intimate performance and Q&A with local students. In advance of his sold-out show, he visited Akins High School in Austin TX, where he met with 200 art, theater, band and choir students and performed a few songs acoustically. McKenna talked about his journey as a young songwriter and how music and performing have shaped his life. A common theme in McKenna’s music is the role young people play in creating a more equitable society, and through these performances he hopes to empower fellow teenagers and help them realize that their voice matters.

Recently, McKenna has been announced as the newly crowned BBC Music "Introducing Artist of the Year" for 2017, as part of the BBC Music Awards. Since its launch in 2007, BBC Music "Introducing" has been dedicated to discovering and supporting new music. Previous winners of this prestigious award include Florence and the Machine, Ed Sheeran, and Catfish and the Bottlemen. "I'm delighted and honored to accept this award from BBC Introducing." McKenna says, "I'd like to say a big thank you for relentlessly rooting for me throughout the years, no award could ever overshadow the time, effort and support given by so many others to get me to the point I'm at now, and for that I'm eternally grateful!" Declan McKenna’s debut album "What Do You Think About The Car?", a collection of socially aware, melody-heavy indie pop songs, is out now via Columbia Records. The album received near universal praise, and was recently featured on NPR Music as a First Listen with NPR Music’s Bob Boilen noting, "Declan McKenna writes about a much bigger world than you or I might expect from a singer who only recently turned 18." The New York Times also included McKenna’s single, "Humongous" in their weekly playlist, describing Declan’s music as "a strong throwback streak, from his reedy John Lennon-Liam Gallagher vocals to his melodic, midtempo guitar-strumming Britpop productions." Declan McKenna was also named one of Rolling Stone’s "10 New Artists You Need to Know" for August 2017, who call his new album, ""What Do You Think About The Car?," smart, moving and occasionally really funny." "What Do You Think About The Car?" is the follow up to Declan’s EP "Liar" released last May. The full-length album was recorded in London and LA alongside renowned producer James Ford of Simian Mobile Disco (Depeche Mode, Arctic Monkeys). The song "Listen To Your Friends" was produced by Rostam Batmanglij of Vampire Weekend; the track, "Paracetamol" was produced by Neil Comber; and "Brazil" was produced by Max Marlow. Declan, an adept songwriter and multi-instrumentalist wrote all of the songs and co-wrote "Listen To Your Friends" on the 11-track LP. See below for full track list.

Southern California’s hard-rock legends FU MANCHU will release their awaited, 12th studio album, "Clone of the Universe", on February 9th 2018 via their own At The Dojo Records. Temple of the Dog - the Seattle supergroup featuring Soundgarden's Chris Cornell, Pearl Jam's Jeff Ament, Stone Gossard, and Mike McCready, and drummer Matt Cameron (who plays drums with both Soundgarden and Pearl Jam) - has reunited and will tour for the first time ever since forming in 1990. On September 30th UMe will release a special Temple of the Dog 25th anniversary reissue collection of their landmark album, newly mixed by Brendan O'Brien. The collection will be available in four configurations, including a four disc Super Deluxe, a double LP, a two CD Deluxe, and a single CD. Temple of the Dog came together from the ashes of Mother Love Bone following the death from a drug overdose of its frontman Andrew Wood, Cornell's close friend and roommate. Cornell wrote future TOTD songs "Say Hello 2 Heaven" and "Reach Down" to help process his grief, "but the songs didn't have any destination," he says. "I was compelled to write them and there they were - written in a vacuum as a tribute to Andy. My thought was that maybe I could record these songs with the remaining members of Mother Love Bone and that maybe we could release them as a tribute."

Mother Love Bone's Gossard and Ament began playing with McCready, and they brought in Soundgarden's Cameron to drum on demos. Because this was a collaboration, and a tribute, there was no commercial expectation for the Temple of the Dog album. It would be, Gossard would later observe, "the easiest and most beautiful record that we've ever been involved with." Adds Cornell: "Temple was about making an album simply for the joy of doing it. We weren't concerned what anyone outside of our group of friends would think of it. It was the first and maybe only stress-free album that we all made."

Gossard, Ament, and McCready were also simultaneously forming a new band, which more than six months later would be known as Pearl Jam. A singer from San Diego named Eddie Vedder, who was vying to lead the project, came into the studio to sing background vocals on three of the Temple songs. When Cornell thought another song, "Hunger Strike," needed a duet, Vedder was enlisted. "Hunger Strike" became a hit single, peaking at No. 4 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Tracks chart.              

Temple of the Dog performed live only a handful of times, most notably in Seattle, in November and December of 1990. Those shows have become some of the most legendary Seattle concerts of all-time. Their 2016 shows mark the first time the band has ever toured. (Cornell joined Pearl Jam in 2014 at the Bridge School show and for two nights at PJ20 in Alpine Valley, WI, and the Temple line-up played "Reach Down" and "Call Me a Dog" at Seattle's Benaroya Hall in January 2015.)

"This is something no one has ever seen," Cornell says of the official reunion. "We wanted to stop and recognize that we did this and pay homage."

The main stage will feature five-time-nominated, two-time Grammy winning legends Slayer as headliner, as well as additional performances from King Diamond, HELLYEAH, and The Devil Wears Prada. The VICTORY RECORDS STAGE will feature headliner Whitechapel as well as Thy Art Is Murder, Jungle Rot, Sister Sin, Sworn In, Shattered Sun, Feed Her To The Sharks, Code Orange and Kissing Candice.

Kerry King, guitarist of ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK MAIN STAGE headliners Slayer states, “I don't know if third time will be a charm, but it will definitely be hellish! Slayer and King Diamond on stage for the first time together in the States- NEVER has Mayhem been more evil. DON'T FUCKIN' MISS IT.”

Slayer and King Diamond on the same stage - it does not get more devilish than this! We will be putting on a one hour set with the full King Diamond stage production. As for a set list, I'm not gonna reveal that here, but it will be built around "Dreams of Horror". The Puppet Master will be there with Grandma, and we will even go as far back in time as to 1777 (hint). You're all in for one hell of a show if you come to this Sabbath!”
