The world's biggest heavy music touring festival, the ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK MAYHEM FESTIVAL enters its eighth year with another fantastic heavy metal and hard rock line-up, featuring 13 bands performing on the ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK MAIN STAGE and the VICTORY RECORDS STAGE.

The ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK MAIN STAGE will feature some of the most ground-breaking heavy bands of all time, spanning the originating years of heavy metal to today! The main stage will feature five-time-nominated, two-time Grammy winning legends Slayer as headliner, as well as additional performances from King Diamond, HELLYEAH, and The Devil Wears Prada. The VICTORY RECORDS STAGE will feature headliner Whitechapel as well as Thy Art Is Murder, Jungle Rot, Sister Sin, Sworn In, Shattered Sun, Feed Her To The Sharks, Code Orange and Kissing Candice.

Kerry King, guitarist of ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK MAIN STAGE headliners Slayer states, “I don't know if third time will be a charm, but it will definitely be hellish! Slayer and King Diamond on stage for the first time together in the States- NEVER has Mayhem been more evil. DON'T FUCKIN' MISS IT.”

ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK MAIN STAGE performer and heavy metal hellion King Diamond states, "This is going to be one hot and hellish summer! Slayer and King Diamond on the same stage - it does not get more devilish than this! We will be putting on a one hour set with the full King Diamond stage production. As for a set list, I'm not gonna reveal that here, but it will be built around "Dreams of Horror". The Puppet Master will be there with Grandma, and we will even go as far back in time as to 1777 (hint). You're all in for one hell of a show if you come to this Sabbath!”

“It has been eight years and it feels like it started just yesterday. We are so excited about this year’s lineup and having the mighty Slayer back in support of a new album. In addition, the first time for King Diamond and HELLYEAH will be awesome, as well as The Devil Wears Prada’s first time on the Main Stage.  The Victory Stage has amazing bands and will play throughout the day.  Heavy music is thriving in America and we are excited to be  a part of it,” state John Reese and Kevin Lyman, ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK MAYHEM FESTIVAL producers.

The festival will kick off on June 26th at Sleep Train Amphitheater in San Diego, CA and ends at Gexa Energy Amphitheater in Dallas, TX on August 2nd. See below for all confirmed tour dates.

Behemoth have been forced to cancel their appearance on this summer's Mayhem Festival due to drummer Inferno requiring surgery. Poland’s blackened death metal outfit BEHEMOTH have been forced to cancel their upcoming appearance on the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival due to their drummer Inferno taking ill and requiring surgery.

The band’s front-man Nergal comments; "This must have been the most difficult decision we were forced to make in recent years. Behemoth is known for not canceling any shows or tours. But this is not something we can do when we are missing our driving force, the man behind the drums - Inferno. Unfortunately, he was hospitalized due to appendix surgery and it's gonna take him few months to fully recover and get back to shape. We are trying to save selected European Festivals with a fill in drummer (Krimh,ex-Decapitated), but we won't be risking doing a full-on prestigious tour like the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival without Inferno. Behemoth is a solid unit and any part of this unit missing makes us weaker, and that is not how we want to present our new material to our fans. Please, accept our apologies and be patient, we shall return to Europe (this fall) and US (early 2014) empowered and motivated as never before!"

BEHEMOTH’s recently announced forthcoming full-length album, The Satanist, is scheduled for a fall 2013 release.

Five Finger Death Punch has announced the band will release their fourth studio record as a double album in two installments with Vol. 1 hitting stores on July 23 and Vol. 2 scheduled for later this fall. Prospect Park will release the albums in North America, Eleven Seven in all other territories.  Five Finger Death Punch guitarist Zoltan Bathory reveals,

"We came off the road after a couple of great years of touring and were really amped up to write the 4th record. Everybody was in the right headspace and the band tighter than ever so it was a perfect storm. We jumped in head first and found ourselves 12-13 songs deep fairly quick but were still coming up with better and better material so we looked at each other and said…. ok why stop there ?Let's keep going. Once we passed the 24th song we knew we're going to have to do a double album. We had this massive amount of music that's very dear to us, possibly the best material this band has ever created. At that point there was no way to decide which songs to leave off the album. So we made the decision to release them all."

The band will be kicking off the new album cycle by introducing the first single, "Lift Me Up" with a live performance featuring a very special surprise guest at Revolver Magazine's Golden Gods Awards ceremony in Los Angeles this Thursday where the band will appear live alongside Metallica, Stone Sour and Halestorm amongst others. The show will be streaming live on AXS TV and Xbox LIVE:  HERE.  The studio version of the song will premiere in the U.S. on radio on May 13 and will be available for purchase online May 14.

In June, Five Finger Death Punch will return to Europe for a tour of major festivals including Sweden Rock (6/06), Germany's Rock Am Ring and Rock Im Park (6/08 and 6/09) and the U.K.'s Download Festival at Donington Park (6/16) (see full schedule below) concluding the run with a performance at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods Ceremony in London.

Upon the band's return to the U.S., the band will co-headline the 2013 Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival alongside Rob Zombie kicking off in San Bernadino, CA at the San Manuel Amphitheatre on June 29.  The travelling festival will stage appearances in 26 markets, and the full itinerary can be viewed HERE.

HUNTRESS is back with the follow up to their buzzworthy debut album Spell Eater, which was released in 2012.  The album entitled Starbound Beast has been confirmed for release on June 28th in Europe and on July 2nd in North America via Napalm Records.  The band recorded the album at Hobby Shop Studios in Los Angeles, CA, working with famed producer Zeuss (Shadows Fall, Hatebreed, Agnostic Front).

HUNTRESS has teamed up with RevolverMag.com, the online home of Revolver Magazine for an exclusive premiere of the album artwork for Starbound Beast.  Check it out HERE.  The artwork was created once again by Vance Kelly (Slayer, Ghost B.C., Mastodon).

In support of Starbound Beast the band will be touring across North America this summer as part of the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival.   The band will be featured on the Jagermeister Stage alongside Machine Head, Battlecross & Others.  The tour kicks off June 29th in San Bernardino, CA and runs through August 4th in Dallas, TX.  A complete list of dates can be found below.  The band took part in the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival Press Conference and performed live, check out footage HERE.

HUNTRESS was spawned from the preternatural union of Jill Janus with underground metal bands Professor and Dark Black. They thrive on thundering drums, heavy riffs, spectral solos and catchy choruses that come from the band's musical concoction of occult science and bong rips. HUNTRESS remains true to the roots of melodic heavy metal with a penchant for thrash, death and black metal.

I THE BREATHER are one of the most enthusiastic, hard working and promising new bands to come onto the scene as of late and their highly acclaimed sophomore full-length offering, Truth and Purpose, is taking the metal scene by storm. They spent the majority of 2012 on tour alongside August Burns Red, Silverstein, Upon A Burning Body and Betraying The Martyrs, among others. Look for them performing on the Sumerian Records' stage at the Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival all summer long.

The band's new music video for the track, “False Profit,” can be viewed below. This is their first official music video from Truth and Purpose and was directed by Thunder Down Country Productions.

Morgan Wright (drums) states: "Our objective with this clip was to create a dark and edgy video. It's very different from our last video. That was more of a straight up performance based video capturing the band in a live element. This video allowed us to use props, add in some acting and have a legit concept. When it came to acting, Shawn (vocals) stepped it up and took on the task of the protagonist.

"The thing that stands out most in this video is the massive python we used. The overall theme is Shawn representing God and the serpent representing the devil. The scenario portrays God rising up and taking on the false prophecy of the devil. A false prophet is someone who will arise to sway mankind into idolatry. We are very proud of this video and hope you enjoy it.”
