After Bay Area avant-garde cornerstones Ludicra called it quits in 2011, most of the band continued with their other musical endeavors, but former vocalist Laurie Shanaman and guitar player/vocalist Christy Cather haven’t resurfaced in a big way until now.

Ails marks the return of Shanaman and Cather to center stage. In 2015 the duo's desire to play the music they love brought them together with like-minded friends Sam Abend (Abrupt, Desolation), Colby Bryn (2084, One In The Chamber), and Jason Miller (Phantom Limbs). The Unraveling, Ails' epic debut album (April 20, The Flenser), is more than just the ghost of Ludicra. It stands firmly on its own, offering an intense synthesis of raucous black metal and melodic death metal driven by the formidable dueling vocals of Shanaman and Cather. These are songs of despair, heartache, inner torment, and physical and mental suffering that make an immediate and lasting impression.

Listen to the album’s first single, "The Echoes Waned," right now on Metal Injection found HERE.

Pre-orders for "The Unraveling" are available now from The Flenser HERE.

Texas native metal band Bloodline has announced plans to release their debut, full-length album, "Insolent", on March 23rd 2018. Now, they’ve partnered with MetalInjection.net to give fans a first taste of the record with a video for the brand new single, "Faded Memory."

""Faded Memory" is the fifth song from our upcoming album "Insolent". The approach on songwriting for this particular track varies from others in the sense that it was truly a collaborative effort between the four of us. The chorus is vocally shared between myself (Joe), and Titus (guitars, clean vocals). We feel as though this style prequels the future sound of Bloodline." - Joe (vocals)

Heavy metal entertainer NECROSEXUAL has teamed up with Metal Injection to reveal "Dead Sexy" a new song from his upcoming album "Grim 1".

Necrosexual commented "DEAD SEXY is a love song about a lonely corpse, hungry for action. This Necromasterpiece originally premiered in its demo form for Metal Injection in 2015 and now it has reemerged from the grave with a heavy metal hard on as the closing track of Necrosexual's GRIM 1 album. Grab some chilled Merlot and prepare to NECRO N CHILL for three minutes you will never, ever forget."

Today Ohio metal titans SKELETONWITCH unveil their brand new video for “The Infernal Resurrection.” The song comes off latest album, Forever Abomination which cracked the Billboard Top 200, as well as Decibel's Top 40 of 2011 and finds the band doing what they do best: slaying ears in the live arena. To view the video, head over to HERE.

Like Satan himself set loose in the hallowed halls of heavy metal, these Athens-based headbangers careen wildly through the music’s history, gleefully destroying and setting flame to every genre along the way, only stopping at the forefront of today’s metal scene to look back and watch that fucker burn -- and then piss on the flames. No other band has tapped into the fire, fury, and frost of all things metal like SKELETONWITCH. Released last October through Prosthetic Records, Forever Abomination continues to raise eyebrows with its relentless, fuck-all attack. In an 8/10 rating of the record, Decibel Magazine named SKELETONWITCH, “one of the most likeable bands in metal,” Terrorizer dubbed Forever Abomination a “masterclass in modern metal,” Revolver noted its “bad-ass thrash attack,” while Pitchfork championed the offering calling it “exciting, skilled, fist-pumping, true-to-life stuff…”

SKELETONWITCH return to the road today beginning with a warm-up show in Cleveland before joining forces with The Black Dahlia Murder, Nile and labelmates Hour Of Penance for a four-week tour that concludes at the New England Metal And Hardcore Festival. This marks the group's first North American tour action of 2012. The band will take a brief break before heading overseas for a stretch of Euro dates. Confirmed dates thus far are included below:

Unearth's new video for Watch It Burn from Darkness in the Light is now streaming EXCLUSIVELY on metalinjection.net! The video, which was directed by Scott Hansen (A Day To Remember, I Wrestled A Bear Once, Maylene & The Sons of Disaster), is a dark and disturbing video to match the equally bleak lyrics of the song. The video can be seen now HERE.

Vocalist Trevor Phipps elaborates on the video: "This video captures both the energy we put into every performance as well as imagery of the dark lyrical content of "Watch it Burn". We want to thank Scott Hansen and his crew for their hard work delivering such a sick video for our fans to see. Check it out!"

Weed-obsessed death metallers CANNABIS CORPSE have just unleashed a mind-melting animated video for "Where the Kind Lives" via metal video gurus Metal Injection. The track is taken off 2011's Tankcrimes release, Beneath Grow Lights Thou Shalt Rise, and provides a perfect backdrop for some evil, circle-pitting extraterrestrial weed beasts' abduction of one very unlucky stoner. You can watch it HERE.
