Articles by "Final Album"

Brighton bruisers Fathoms have comprehensively toured throughout the UK and Europe, as well as undertaking successful tours in the USA, China, South Korea and Japan. The fivesome's current and last album, "Counter Culture", is bursting from the seams with stocky NuMetal-esque riffs, rap crossovers, immense choruses, and contagious grooves. Their final video, "Slip Away" - can be viewed here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L05x3UJvaBI . Next month, the UK heavyweights bid farewell, and honour their successes in a final send-off tour for their already hearty fan base.

The band put out this announcement on their Facebook page: "When we started this band at the end of 2010 we never imagined that our music would make it out of Brighton, UK let alone take us all around the world. Our lives have been hugely impacted by the time we've spent making music and touring, and by the people we have met along the way.

It's been an amazing experience, but we feel like now is the time to close this chapter of our lives and move on. There's no issues behind the scenes and we're all still best friends and will continue to be long after the band is over. Keep your eyes peeled for our new musical projects which I'm sure will blow everybody away! We want to thank everybody who has made this possible, especially our fans who have kept us going for so many years. That's why we're stoked to announce that we're doing a farewell tour, hitting all our favorite cities in the country. Come hang out with us one last time and let's make these last shows some that we'll never forget!"

“When saying farewell, it is hard to know where to start, especially when there are so many reasons not to say it, but the time has come to share this news,” said YELLOWCARD in a unified statement. “After countless discussions and months of thought, we have decided that it is time for Yellowcard to come to an end. This will be our last album and our final world tour.”

With this statement, YELLOWCARD have announced that the band will be releasing their final self-titled album on September 30, 2016 on Hopeless Records and embark on “The Final World Tour”, kicking off on October 6 in San Antonio, TX. “We wanted to have the chance to share our farewell with as many fans around the world as we could, and now is the right time to do just that.”

YELLOWCARD was a very personal journey for the band that was self-produced by Ryan Key and guitarist Ryan Mendez with long-time ally and close friend Neal Avron close by as Executive Producer. “The motivation behind this was to make sure these songs came from a place that was deeply rooted in us,” they explain about taking the reins and crafting it from top to bottom. “We wanted to push ourselves to create a lasting finale for this incredible story on our own. It is also why we chose to self-title the album. We were lucky to still have our friend and mentor, Neal Avron, on board as Executive Producer. We’ve made one of the strongest records of our career and a fitting final creative piece.”

Pre-orders for YELLOWCARD begin today at www.yellowcardrock.com which includes an instant download of the opening track “Rest in Peace”. Pre-sale VIP packages for the tour are also available now. Public on sale will begin June 28th.

As the band spends their summer on the Vans Warped Tour before launching into their final stretch, they are especially appreciative to the fans that have been there every step of the way. “We will be forever grateful to Yellowcard fans all over the world for the opportunities you have given us. We have played shows for nearly two decades on six continents and had the chance to keep recording the music we love year after year. While it is with sadness that we say goodbye, it is with gratitude and amazement that we look back on a career we can be proud of, and were so very lucky to have had.”

YELLOWCARD will be released on September 30, 2016 via Hopeless Records. Yellowcard is Ryan Key (vocals, guitars), Sean Mackin (violins), Ryan Mendez (guitar), and Josh Portman (bass).

The Blackout have made the following announcement via their Facebook page about the band's farewell tour, final album, and departure as a band.

"THANK YOU AND GOOD NIGHT.

Hey Guys, There’s no point in dancing around the subject, so we’ll cut right to the chase. We regret to announce that Wolves will be the final release by The Blackout. Unfortunately we have come to the conclusion we are unable to sustain this band anymore, and we feel the time is right to bring it to a close. This is the hardest decision we have ever had to make as a band, and although we do it with heavy hearts, we also do with our heads held high. We are all extremely proud of Wolves, and are eternallygrateful to each and every one of you who helped it get made. We said that it would not exist without your support, and we honestly mean that.We achieved more than we ever dreamed of when we started this band, and we take with us memories, relationships and friends that will last the rest of our lives. We have always said that we’d be nothing without the people who came to the shows, who stood out in the rain, who camped out overnight and we want to thank you, all of you, for making the last ten years so special for us. Whether you came to one show or one hundred, your passion and support has been humbling and life changing. We play our farewell shows in March 2015, these will be the last shows we will play as a band. Unfortunately, these shows will only be in the UK. There are no plans for anything more for The Blackout, so we hope you would like to come and party with us for the final time. Once again, thank you for helping us live out our dreams.

Love, The Blackout"
