DEEP DARK RIVER, the acoustic doom, folk, blues, ambient and soul side project from Vesperia's Morgan Rider has posted a new video covering GHOST's "Square Hammer".

Rider comments: "This week I created a blues version of Ghost's single 'Square Hammer'. I knew I wanted to do something a little different with this video when I noticed my stag skull as well as my wife's geode collection. They made a couple awesome elements for this video. Algeria’s Imarhan are excited to announce their upcoming tour of the United States, the 5-piece band’s first North American tour since opening for Kurt Vile in 2016. This spring finds Imarhan touring in support of their soon to be released new album "Temet", out on City Slang on February 23rd 2018. The dates will take them to both coasts and places in between, including shows in Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, New Orleans, and a performance at the 2018 Levitation Festival in Austin, TX.

In conjunction with their tour announcement Imarhan have released the entrancing takeaway acoustic video for "Mas-abok", from independent Parisian filmmaker Vincent Moon’s upcoming documentary on the band entitled "Children of Tam". Moon followed the band for two weeks, documenting hours of music, pictures and conversations in their hometown of Tamanrasset and at neighboring mountain ranges, specifically Assekrem (Tamashek for "World’s End"), a high plateau in the Hoggar Mountains of Southern Algeria. The result is an hour-long documentary film, which serves as a portrait of the band and their hometown Tamanrasset, for which they are becoming ambassadors.

Texas based hard rock band Blacktop Mojo has released a video for their track, "Underneath," from their 2017 release, "Burn the Ships". Filmed live at Audioworx Studios in Palestine, TX, the Drew McCuistion filmed video features front-man Matt James and lead guitarist Ryan Kiefer performing an acoustic version of the track.

Los Angeles band, Walla, debuts their new single "Into The Gray." The band, comprised of Jean Marc Tardieu (Lead Vocals), Ian Charlie (Lead Guitar), Mauricio “Moebeats” Carcamo (Bass Guitar), Alessio Balsemin (Drums); have crafted a unique mix of indie pop infused with soul and positivity.

Their aim in creating music is to be a place of comfort and escape, with tracks that pull people away from the chaos of the world and inspire them to sing along and dance. To say that it's working would be an understatement. Their single "101" has almost 30 million plays on Spotify and the band has been featured on Billboard, MTV Buzzworthy, Nylon, and Snapchat. Not to mention climbing to the #1 spot on Hypem, one of the leading independent music discovery sites on the internet.  This past June they released their EP "Body Language" a collection of tracks that encompasses the cultural backgrounds and influences the band makes up with their own diverse backgrounds, from the Caribbean to Italy to Indonesia, and of course, Los Angeles. 

Into The Gray" was inspired by the instinctive need we all have for human connection, and how despite all of our differences and backgrounds, coming together to connect and engage can save us from the loneliness of the digital age. Jean Marc's soulful vocals are at their best on this track, capturing the emotional magnitude of the message with his deep rasp and introspective demeanor.  With a chorus built on layers of harmonies, promising to save each and every one of us from the hurt inside ourselves, it's a beautiful musical moment you won't soon forget.
