A Perfect Circle have shared their new song "So Long, And Thanks For All The Fish" as the release date for their upcoming album "Eat The Elephant" out April 20, BMG nears. The song premiered on BBC Radio 1’s Rock Show as Daniel P. Carter’s Rockest Record and is available now to stream or download.

"We all cope with the absurd in our own manner," said Maynard James Keenan in reference to the new track. "The Italian side of me produces and shares wine with friends in order to feel grounded and connected in the midst of all the madness. But once the wine is gone, the drunk and sarcastic Irish side of me goes straight for the unreasonable jugular. #comedyfirstandalways".

A Perfect Circle will be releasing their fourth full-length album "Eat The Elephant" on April 20th 2018 via BMG. This is the band's first album since their "eMOTIVe" released back in 2004.

The album arrives following years of anticipation and speculation, which reached a fever pitch as the outfit helmed by Maynard James Keenan and Billy Howerdel launched their Fall 2017 tour with the release of "The Doomed" (http://smarturl.it/TheDoomedVideo). The band then ushered in the new year with the debut of the contemplative song, "Disillusioned" (http://smarturl.it/DisillusionedYT).

"Although I’m extremely excited to finally be completing this album after a 14-year hiatus," explains Keenan. "I’m actually more excited that its intentional release date is serving a greater purpose. The 20th of April is Carina Round’s birthday. She is a dear friend who is extremely difficult to shop for. Pressure off. Of course, I must also note that the potheads are gonna be thrilled that this album comes out on 4-20. May it serve as a glorious soundtrack to accompany all of the giggling and vexing sounds of nibbling and snacking. Fingers crossed, Cheech & Chong will be proud."

"Demos are these precious ideas that you love in their initial state," adds Howerdel. "Then you collaborate, invite other ideas, and watch them progress. That’s the dynamics and growth of a great record. I feel we’ve made a great record."

Pre-orders for the 12-song album, which was co-produced by Dave Sardy (Autolux, Slayer), are available now and come with instant digital downloads of "TalkTalk", "Disillusioned" and "The Doomed." "Eat The Elephant", is being released in multiple formats including digital, CD, double gate fold 180-gram vinyl and a box set with vinyl, CD and hi-res digital download as well as a prism and custom playing card deck. In advance of Record Store Day, a limited-edition independent retail exclusive version of the LP on white 180-gram vinyl with alternate cover will also be available. Pre-orders can be found here: (https://AperfectCircle.lnk.to/EatTheElephantPR).

A Perfect Circle welcomed 2018 with the release of "Disillusioned," the second piece of new music from their forthcoming BMG debut.

"Disillusioned", stands in stark contrast to "The Doomed", the first track the band previewed from the as-of-yet untitled album. Where "The Doomed", felt "apocalyptic" (Rolling Stone) and the track’s video was "eerie" and "intense" (Revolver), "Disillusioned", strikes a more optimistic tone, urging listeners to connect with each other once again.

""The Doomed", was a rude wake-up call… apologies if you were sleeping peacefully," said Billy Howerdel of the tone of the bombastic song. ""Disillusioned", comes from a place of overcoming the slide into the numb. It speaks to re-connection and a fresh start to a new year."

Addressing the musicality of the song, which echoes the sentiment of unity, Maynard James Keenan said: "Attempting new approaches to composing can be intimidating. Especially with an established project with such a recognizable sound. But sometimes you just gotta take the first swing. Only way to grow."

A limited edition,10-inch single for "The Doomed/Disillusioned", arrives on March 9, 2018. The collectible vinyl has a dual pressing of both songs on side A and a screen-printed B-side. Pre-orders are available now.

A Perfect Circle have released the new song, “The Doomed”. The track is the first music to be heard from the multi-platinum outfit’s highly anticipated 2018 full-length.

“Fourteen years have passed since we released eMOTIVe,” said Maynard James Keenan. “A new release is long overdue. In light of this current difficult and polarized social, spiritual and political climate, we artist types need to open our big mouths and share the light a little louder.”

“Years of life experience has brought our music to this moment,” added Billy Howerdel. “We know where we came from. Deeply connected to the path we’re on.”

A Perfect Circle recently announced they had signed a worldwide recording deal with BMG and are in the studio working with producer Dave Sardy on the follow-up to 2004’s eMOTIVe.

“The Doomed” arrives as A Perfect Circle kick off the second leg of their first North American tour in six years, launching on Oct. 21 at the Aftershock festival.

A Perfect Circle, who recently wrapped up a sold out U.S. tour, return to the road this fall, kicking off a North American trek at the Aftershock festival on Oct. 21. Check out the list of dates below.

The band’s spring outing, their first U.S. tour in six years, began with a three-night stand at The Pearl in Las Vegas. “It was as if they never left, both in terms of the sharpness of their performance and the contemporary relevancy… of their catalog,” said the Las Vegas Review Journal in their review of the opening evening. As the band worked their way through the month of U.S. dates, Keenan dubbed the outing the “get to know ya/re-get to know ya” tour, a nod to the band’s hiatus and news of their forthcoming album. A Perfect Circle headlined Welcome to Rockville, Fort Rock and Carolina Rebellion before concluding the tour with an “enthralling” (Orange County Register), “rapturous” (Buzzbands) sold out, debut performance at the Hollywood Bowl.

A PERFECT CIRCLE began touring again last fall after a six-year hiatus, and guitarist Billy Howerdel told The Pulse Of Radio that plans are in the works to make new music as well. While he says that the band has come up with a couple of new songs, Howerdel added that he could get more done if he just had a place to work. "I kind of had the biggest void of writing in the past few years that I've ever had," he said. "I don't really have a great place to work. I had a house with a studio and sold that, and so I don't have this readily available studio. And it's the worst reason in the world to not be doing it, but we're basically an unsigned band, we can kind of do what we want and put it out how we want, and we can kind of turn it around pretty quickly...that is if I find a place to start working."
