British metallers Skies Turn Black are on the road this week with fellow British metallers Andromedous! In conjunction with the tour, STB released their brand-new single ‘Angel’ on Thursday, April 10th!

The video for ‘Angel’ can be found HERE.

Speaking about ‘Angel’, the band have said: “It’s the dance tune that makes you want to headbang and dance at the same time. Everything the album wants to say is right there in this one song.”

The remaining tour dates are:

April 17th - THE ELECTRIC BANANA, WESTON-SUPER-MARE
April 20th - LVLS, LONDON

Skies Turn Black have been at it since 2016 and gained attention with their 2018 release “No Place Like Home”, with Metal Hammer called it “One of the best guitar albums of the year”. This led them to play their first post-pandemic festival at Bloodstock in 2023 to an overflowing crowd at the Jägermeister Stage.

Since the release of “No Place Like Home”, Skies Turn Black have added a keytar to their line-up, diversifying their sound to explore what genre bending electronics can add to the heavy metal at the core of the band. The result has taken the heaviness of dance music such as dubstep, to create an impactful twist to your run of the mill metal.

Since their appearance at Bloodstock 2023, the band have played across the UK, performing at sold out shows in Sunderland, Nottingham, Huddersfield and Bristol.

The project has one full album release in No Place Like Home (2018), a self-titled EP (2016), and a number of standalone single releases: ‘The Skies Are Falling Down’, ‘Sweet, Sweet Solitude’ and ‘Playing With Fire’. Their second full album will be released through Sliptrick Records in 2025.

Andromedous have been active since 2018, during which they’ve sought to provide a fresh take on heavy music, blending EDM with metal guitars and vocals. The band began to draw attention following their performance at a sold-out Download festival in 2023, opening up the festival as part of the Boardie takeover on the Doghouse Stage.

They have performed relentlessly across the UK, racking up 60 shows nationwide in the last 24 months, and have seen steady growth. This led to them supporting L1NKN P4RK, performing to sold-out crowds across the north of England, Scotland, and Wales. They have also shared the stage with the likes of Hacktivist, Dropout Kings, Raptors, and Harbinger.

The project has three EPs released: “Phase 0” and “The Fall” in 2019, and “Voids” in 2023. They’ve also released seven singles, ‘Transmit // Tyro’ in 2021, ‘Coalesce // Commune’ in 2022, ‘Chasm in 2023, and ‘Elliots Versions’ in 2024. The band have recently concluded work on their fourth EP.

Autumn Lies Buried, the controversial 5-piece Deathcore band hailing from Clarksville, TN, is about to shatter expectations and leave fans gasping for breath. With a unique blend of metal and rap, they have earned a reputation for grabbing listeners by the ears and taking them on a sonic journey that is as heavy as it is provocative.

The band's sound is a chaotic fusion of punishing breakdowns, rapid-fire vocals, and groovy riffs, seamlessly blended with rapid-fire rap flows that challenge the traditional metal formula. Known for their unapologetic energy and boundary-pushing compositions, Autumn Lies Buried has quickly become one of the most talked-about bands in the underground scene.

And the stakes have just been raised even higher: the band has officially signed with Exitus Strategem Records, an indie label known for backing innovative and boundary-pushing acts. This partnership sets the stage for even greater things, with their upcoming releases getting the full backing of a label that's ready to help take their intense sound to the next level.

Their latest track, 'Debt Of Silence', promises to be another game-changer. Released on April 10th, 2025, 'Debt Of Silence' showcases the band's signature style—aggressive, raw, and relentless. The track is sure to make waves in the metal and rap scenes, further cementing the band's reputation for creating soundscapes that defy genre expectations. The announcement comes ahead of the release of their new EP, "Mob Mentality", on June 6th, 2025.

The video for ‘Debt Of Silence’ can be found HERE.

Speaking about the new EP, the band have said: ""Mob Mentality" is a reiteration of what we were talking about in previous songs like 'Inhuman Skin'. The common people have been trained to think they are powerless to change their course in life. They think that the hands of the powerful will hold them down generation after generation and that’s that. Just the way it is".

Well, we are preaching sin with "Mob Mentality", and by sin, we mean Strength In Numbers. We cannot be held down if we band together against the grifters, charlatans, oppressors and connivers. Burn it all."

The tracklisting for "Mob Mentality" is:

1. Strappado
2. Blood Money
3. Guillotine
4. Told Off Witta Sawed Off
5. Debt Of Silence

US extreme metallers Ominous Ruin have unveiled their latest video for the song ‘Staring Into The Abysm’, which released on April 10th, 2025. The video follows their earlier release ‘Seeds Of Entropy’ on March 7th and comes ahead of the release of their latest record, “Requiem”, on May 9th, 2025, through Willowtip Records. The new material is the latest to feature new vocalist Crystal Rose.

Speaking about the single, the band have said: "'Staring Into The Abysm' fires out of the gate with a fierce yet melodic guitar lead that plays upon the motif of the entire song. Quickly after the intro, Ominous Ruin embraces its technicality with furious drums and riffs, shortly followed by an astounding bass solo from bassist, Mitch Yoesle, immediately followed by a guitar solo from guitarist, Joel Guernsey. The theme of the song reappears as a quick clean guitar break, followed by another dizzying solo by main guitarist, Alex Bacey. As the song comes to an end, it fades back into the dark, dissonant clean guitar thematic riff. Heavy with effects, the ending further sonically represents the inevitable slip into empty nothingness, as entropy consumes reality, both physical and mental form, teasing the transition into the final song of the album."

HEAVEN SHALL BURN RELEASE "MY REVOCATION OF COMPLIANCE"  VIDEO SINGLE -  NEW ALBUM HEIMAT OUT VIA CENTURY MEDIA JUNE 27

"Heimat" = German for "home + homeland + native land" — a term that merely refers to a relationship between people and spaces but has nevertheless always been highly emotionally charged. Often misused, it sometimes causes discomfort, lively discussions, and battles over interpretation.

Guitarist Maik Weichert comments, "Heimat is not meant as the narrow-minded end point in the sense it has been used by agitators and populists, but the starting point for observations and perspectives. The album is about a much wider sense of the term 'Heimat:' the homelands for many different people and also about the spiritual home, something that shapes and determines our thoughts and actions."

Heaven Shall Burn took their time with the follow-up to Of Truth And Sacrifice, which reached number 1 in the Official German Album Charts in 2020. Heimat was produced at the band's own studio, The Dude Ranch, which is run by guitarist Alexander Dietz. Like in the past, Danish producer Tue Madsen took care of the mixing and mastering.

The Thuringians enlisted the renowned artist Eliran Kantor for the artwork, who previously crafted the artwork for Of Truth And Sacrifice. The centerpiece of the impressive triptych is a rearing stag — in its roaring variant a classic motif of wildlife painting, the epitome of kitsch and trivial art from the 19th and 20th centuries and interpreted by some as a symbol of patriarchy and capitalist competition, but here placed as a vital allegory of resistance amid an apocalyptic scene. He is flanked by a hunting lynx and a watchful owl, which complete the highly symbolic artwork concept as further elements of the triptych.

From the heart of San Francisco’s legendary metal scene rises NEFARIOUS—a supergroup forged in the fires of thrash, ready to carve a new chapter in heavy metal history.

At the helm is Katon W. De Pena, the iconic voice of Hirax, whose searing intensity and magnetic stage presence have long commanded crowds. On guitars, the twin-axe assault is nothing short of historic: Rick Hunolt (Diehumane, formerly Exodus) and Doug Piercy (Heathen, Anvil Chorus, Blind Illusion) deliver a relentless barrage of razor-sharp riffs and molten solos—honoring the legacy of thrash while pushing its boundaries into new territory.

About NEFARIOUS, Rick Hunolt comments:

"I'm so honored to be with this amazing group of dudes about to release some old-school thrash on you mofos, it's long overdue and I'm confident you guys will love it as much as we do you our metal brothers and sisters deserve it, see you on the road, let's fuckin go!!!"

Holding down the low end with massive groove and crushing weight is Tom Gears (Blind Illusion, Ancient Mariner), providing the sonic anchor on bass for the band’s explosive sound. Behind the kit, Will "Beastman" Carroll (Death Angel) unleashes a thunderous, precision-driven assault that hits with surgical brutality.

Katon De Pena adds: "We're not a band. We are a Gang ready to Crush Skulls and Make Eardrums Bleed ... Necks will be sore ...!!"
