BSB, initials that are so iconic in pop culture that everyone instantly knows the band you are talking about when you say them. That band, of course, is BELUSHI SPEED BALL.

The irreverent Louisville crossover thrash outfit, known for their unhinged performances, has always prided themselves on giving their fans the audacious and in-your-face tunes how they want, when they want, and in every single format you ever sat down and thought “why can’t I have it on this?” This point is made clear with their new album ‘What, Us Worry?’, which the band has already released for such beloved music platforms as the N64, SEGA CD, Gameboy Advanced, and 8-track.

So now, after fervent demand, Belushi Speed Ball has at last caved to the mainstream and are releasing their new LP on cassettes…specifically, Teddy Ruxpin Tapes. Yes, you read that right, 'What, Us Worry?' is the first metal release ever made available on cassettes that are programmed specifically for Teddy Ruxpin Tapes!

Commenting on their new gift to the masses, vocalist and BSB goon Vinny shares:

"There has been a constant demand for BELUSHI SPEED BALL cassettes, so we are finally giving the people what they want. Cassettes...that work on Teddy Ruxpins only! But be careful, the minute you put our specially programmed tape into a working Teddy, he will instantly be transformed into ‘Thrashy Punxpin’, a battle vest wearing pizza thrashbear that this world is not ready for!"

BELUSHI SPEED BALL recently released their full-length album, 'What, Us Worry?'

The album oozes BELUSHI SPEED BALL's collective personality, from ludicrous speeding riffs and pounding percussion to a touch of groove and sprinklings of hardcore. Interspersed with narrative snippets, these elements of humor carry over the outfit's shenanigans and stage theatrics into the recorded realms.

'What, Us Worry?' sees the band blend somewhat unexpected genre influences into the mix, notably the striking pop punk sound of "Dog Birthday". In stark contrast, "Belushi Speed Grind" plunges into guttural depths of grindcore. Taking on the metal world with a nonsensical approach, BELUSHI SPEED BALL deliver the preposterous enveloped in an epic sound.

In addition, ripping guitar solos have been provided by Jamison Land (former GWAR BEEFCAKE), Tony Barhoum (CONDITION CRITICAL) and Nick Burks (SAVAGE MASTER).

'What, Us Worry?' is available on N64, Gameboy Advanced, CD, and streaming everywhere. Buy the album HERE.

UNEARTH delivers another bar raising track of extraordinary musicianship loaded with technical prowess and an utterly brutal vocal delivery, taking listeners from dismal to hopeful and yet again raising UNEARTH to higher ground.

Trevor Phipps says, "A riff fueled interstellar endeavor sums up our third single ‘Into the Abyss’.  Our future planet is in disrepair and the fortunate are forced to flee to a distant world to continue the human race while billions of the less fortunate are left behind to meet a hellish end. Buz McGrath lights the path with a journey of melodic riffs, leads and solos that set it apart from the bulk of The Wretched; The Ruinous album. Beyond oblivion we ride!"

Groove metal kings DEVILDRIVER recently made their triumphant return with part two of their Dealing With Demons saga, their 10th full-length, 'Dealing With Demons Vol. II', out May 12, 2023 via Napalm Records. Once again produced and engineered by Steve Evetts with additional engineering from guitarist Mike Spreitzer, 'Dealing With Demons Vol. II' is inarguably heavier and relentlessly harsher than its predecessor - as proven last month with bludgeoning debut single, "Through the Depths".

Today, DEVILDRIVER have dropped another unrelenting track, entitled "If Blood is Life", plus an action-packed performance music video featuring exclusive footage from their recent US co-headline tour with labelmates Cradle of Filth. The dynamic anthem grips with an unforgettable hook and lead guitar lines, swaying with an undeniable headbang-worthy groove as it shifts between rhythmic passages.

DEVILDRIVER frontman Dez Fafara says about "If Blood is Life":

"Shadows of the future, ghosts of your past walking the floor - why do these things haunt us as humans, when we should be focused on the fact that, like the chorus says, 'Time, it waits for no one, Time, it’s worth the taking.' Learn to focus on the now, the here, the present."

The freshly crowned Top 10 charting band XANDRIA recently returned to the peak of the mountain with an impressive new lineup and their brand new studio album 'The Wonders Still Awaiting'. Once again, the pioneers of German symphonic metal enchant their fans with the captivating official video for the single “My Curse Is My Redemption”. Singer Ambre Vourvahis underlines the intimate setting with breathtaking vocals.

XANDRIA on “My Curse Is My Redemption”:

“As many of you Xandria fans have named this song as one of your favorites from the new album, we decided to make a video for it - with beautiful pictures underlining the meaning of the lyrics:

"Music, art, as something that can derive from painful experiences, and then not only heal you, but also others. It is a wonderful gift for us all then.

"Another musical colour from the rich palette of our album 'The Wonders Still Awaiting', on which each song has its very own identity and its own atmosphere. This one is symphonic for sure, but also has some straight rock vibes, and a certain 80's flavour to it. It is melancholic but also has a hopeful twist, in both the music and the lyrics.

"We noticed that it is a wonderful song to play live - and we are looking forward to play that song for you on the upcoming tour!”

Commenting on the impending record, guitarist/vocalist Conan says:

"'Necrophony' was an album title idea for as long as I can remember. This Symphony of the Dead couldn't be realized for a collection of songs until now. Finally, we have our darkest and most Classically inspired work yet, with artwork by the great Toha Mashudi to match perfectly. We returned to Sharkbite Studios to have the mighty wizard that is Zack Ohren aid us again in forging our metal, and resulted in the finest steel we're all proud to wield on the battlefield."

Today, the band has released the new single "Mind Of Metal," which can be streamed now at https://exmortus.bfan.link/mind-of-metal.a01

Conan adds says of the song:

"'Mind of Metal' is a great compliment to our previous single 'Oathbreaker,' in that it has contrasting rhythms and structure, but shares lyrical inspiration by Tolkien. It's a tribute to the wizard Saruman and other like characters in the legendarium, for their will to power and domination by crafty and industrial means. This song features groove, fast licks, and some of our favorite riffs ever written. Can't wait to perform it live!"

British metalcore mob Sworn Amongst have ended their hiatus and returned with their blistering new single “Restitution”, which was released today (March 30th, 2023).

Speaking about the inspiration behind the song, the band stated:

““Restitution” is a conceptual piece born from the German phrase "Man sieht sich immer zweimal im Leben", the translation being "In life, you always meet twice". In short, this phrase urges us to be wary of burning bridges with our acquaintances, as there is always a chance you may meet later in life.

The lyrics explore the theoretical actions of somebody who has been spurned and are a criticism of those who fail to heed such a warning. Those people who all too eagerly burn those bridges, and the consequences of those actions. The title "Restitution" born from the fact that if we refrain from burning our bridges, new life may be given to relationships further down the line.”
