I, The Breather have made the announcement of their break up via Facebook check it out below,

"Friends, family, fans -

We’ve come to the collective decision that it is time to bring I, the Breather’s 6-year career to a close.
After performing on three different continents, participating in major national tours such as Vans Warped Tour and Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival, and releasing three albums that bring us immense pride, we have accomplished our goals as a band. Truthfully, we never expected to have been able to do a fraction of these things when we started. We all have goals that we are currently pursuing - some of us will continue to carve out our paths in the music industry and some of us have put our focus elsewhere.

We're happy to announce this farewell run with our friends Chasing Safety & Novelists. We may also have a few other things in the works that we will announce later on. If we've brought any value to you, we’d absolutely love to celebrate I, the Breather’s career with you at the upcoming shows. We've got some surprises planned for a few of the dates in particular.

Thank you to everyone who has shown us support in any way. We couldn’t have done this without you. You have been just as big of a part of I, the Breather as we have.

Love, Shawn, Conor, Kyle, Aaron"

After years on the road with I THE BREATHER, vocalist Shawn Spann has launched a new management company to help out younger bands.

Spann states: "Aside from fronting my own band, I The Breather", I found a love and passion of the management aspect in bands. I love coming up with ideas that I feel will work to benefit bands and watch them either fail or grow. Its something many people never get the chance to experience. I figured that the opportunity was given to me to chase my dream and it was my chance to give it back to the world. With that being said, "Creation Artist Development" was born in May of 2012 to help guide artists in a professional direction. I built a team that does our best to help guide artists through many fazes of being a band, Ranging from helping them with learning proper promotion skills to managing finances. A band is much more than fun and games, It is a business and if you do not treat it as one it will not last. I plan on making this company grow into a dominant future music industry titan. Keep your eyes peeled for us because WE WILL be making an impact on this music industry, Theirs no doubt in my mind… Its just a matter of time.

We are currently looking for managers, company interns and musical talent. If any of this applies to you and or your band please send a formal email to CreationArtistDevelopment@gmail.com. Including info about you and or your band.

I, The Breather is a five-piece band that formed in the summer of 2009. Not too long ago they signed to Sumerian Records and have released their debut These Are My Sins (2010). Now that two years have passed the band's been hard at work on the follow-up which has been just released entitled "Truth & Purpose", this sophomore album is surely to be the next big achievement for them in this metal and hardcore underground scene taking them even further than before. Bassist Armand Jasari spoke to me discussing this release explaining about how the songwriting and recording process differs from their debut album to what definitive goals they had before the recording even began find out what else had to be said.

1. How has the band’s sound evolved from your last release?

Armand: The previous release was an introductory phase for us as a band. It showed what we were about in a very solid way. With this sophomore album, the music itself has undergone a maturity stage, which is a huge step up from "These Are My Sins." We wanted to go over and beyond the call of duty in order to deliver the listener with a fresh new energetic record.

2. Are you using any new instrumentation you've never used in the recording process before?

Armand: The album itself is filled with unique and tight instrumentation. The first song of the album, titled "False Prophet," starts with an eerie guitar setting, which creates a unique ambiance within the song, and sets forth a mood for the rest of the albums entirety.

3. Was your songwriting and recording process any different than usual for this CD?

Armand: The songwriting for "Truth & Purpose," was more thought out and more in depth. The structures of the songs themselves have much more definition, and the instrumentals have matured altogether as a whole. The recording process was pretty similar to the first. We just went in and hammered out all of the material, one by one. The final product was outstanding.

4. Did the band have any definitive goals they were shooting for before the recording process began for this album?

Armand: We wanted to go into the studio with the attitude of coming out with something very fresh and energetic. We wanted to top "These Are My Sins" in every way possible, and I think we did just that. We wanted to take a harder approach at the music, as opposed to just writing the same old things that we've used before.

5. What are your expectations for the CD?

Armand: Most of all, we just wanna reach out to more fans. We want people who enjoyed the first album to indulge themselves into "Truth & Purpose," and take in the message that is being carried within the album.

6. When did you start writing for this album? How was the songwriting process different/similar to previous I The Breather albums?

Armand: We began writing the album immediately after "These Are My Sins" was finished. We didn't want to rush anything as far as songwriting goes. Therefore, we took our time with this album, and carefully crafted out each song.

7. Did you feel any pressure to follow it up?

Armand: Each one of us was pleasantly happy with "These Are My Sins." We liked the final product and were proud of what we had come out with. However, after its release, we felt that we were capable of more, and decided to take it to another level with "Truth & Purpose."

8. How would you describe I The Breather to a brand new listener? What would you recommend?

Armand: Despite being a metal band, I would tell new listeners that I the Breather can be very listener friendly. We strive to create music that pertains to each and every person. The meaning within our songs is very unique and easily understandable.

9. Anything else you’d like to say or promote?

Armand: Our next tour is gonna be in April, with Upon a Burning Body and Betraying the Martyrs. We are very excited for this, and we can't wait to get this started! We love meeting our fans, so anyone and everyone that wants to hang, come out to an upcoming show and kick it with us!

I, The Breather now that's another band that has crossed my mind but has yet to hit my ear drums but the time is now. As many I, The Breather is yet another band that has struck the metalcore scene with its own musical trait that manages to develop its own formula on its own accord.

On their latest release "Truth And Purpose", the second album to be released is entertaining and energized to say the least. Having such songs as "False Prophet", "Meaning", and "Judgment", all provide an inside look into the drumming and guitarist's abilities to indicate their riffing skills being able to go back and forth having various chugs and harmonies enter in and out. But if it wasn't for frontman vocalist Shawn he bellows out a well scattered sense of emotion and skills that just amaze the listener.

I, The Breather has made an impressive release surely having these guys be that next big thing to engulf us in the already developed metalcore scene with just their headstrong abilities alone.

Silverstein will be releasing their new album "Short Songs" this coming February and have released an all new song called "My Miserable Life" on Facebook. Also the band will be doing an in-store signing at SoundCheck Hollywood on February 3rd so come on in and get some swag signed and hang with the guys! And don't forget to see the guys perform live on their upcoming tour with August Burns Red and Texas In July, letlive, and I the Breather.
