Today, the world's fastest band speeds up and into its biggest, boldest, and most electrifying era to date: DRAGONFORCE have announced Alissa White-Gluz as their newest member and first frontwoman. In a momentous union of two storied and unstoppable forces, the preeminent pioneers of extreme power metal will now be joined by one of metal's legendary vocalists, unleashing both an intrepid evolution of the genre and the start of a seismic year ahead.

Beginning this Saturday, May 9, at Welcome To Rockville, and Sunday, May 17 at Sonic Temple, DRAGONFORCE's debut live performances with Alissa White-Gluz will also kick off the 20th Anniversary of Inhuman Rampage. As the 2006 album that birthed the Platinum-selling global phenomenon of "Through the Fire and Flames," which spent 23 consecutive weeks on the Billboard 200 and was certified Gold, Inhuman Rampage introduced the band and their music to tens of millions of new fans and counting. With extensive touring plans to be revealed, and a 10th studio album currently in the works, DRAGONFORCE are bringing more listeners than ever into this next chapter of their eternally joyous, adrenaline-filled journey.

Herman Li on their lineup addition:

"Alissa joining the band is an expansion of everything we've done up to this point. Twenty years is a long time to do anything, let alone survive the music industry and still be so inspired to continue doing what we love. Together we will honor what made Inhuman Rampage matter, while showing people exactly where we're going next. Having Alissa in the room changes everything. She doesn't just sing, she makes all aspects of our music better. And she sounds incredible live! I can't wait for the fans to see her and hear what we have been working on."

Through her work with everyone from The Agonist to Kamelot, Arch Enemy and her newly-launched Blue Medusa, Alissa White-Gluz has become an icon synonymous with strength, independence, versatility and creative fearlessness, representing a new standard for women at the highest levels of heavy music. Over two decades spent on the stage, blending ferocious and melodic theatricality with lyrical themes of philosophy, psychology, ethics and the human experience, she has built a history spanning 15+ hours of recorded music, 60+ music videos, 40+ collaborations and 2,000+ concerts across a myriad of subgenres.

Alissa White-Gluz on joining DRAGONFORCE:

"I am beyond excited to be bringing such iconic music to life with these amazingly skilled musicians in such a fun and inspiring environment. It feels great to showcase all the colors of my voice and utilize all my singing styles in technically challenging, deeply energizing, highly addictive songs. I am so thankful for the amazing support I have been lucky enough to receive from the metal world over this wild career I've built; I want to keep pushing my boundaries and delivering exceptional music and live experiences to the fans that I cherish so much."

DETHKLOK returns to American stages with the Mutilation on a Spring Night tour, featuring special guests DragonForce and Nekrogoblikon, and can now reveal a special two-night event with BABYMETAL. The BABYKLOK Tour resumes for two nights only at The Masonic in San Francisco. BABYMETAL and DETHKLOK coheadline, with support from DragonForce on April 24 and Nekrogoblikon on April 25.

DETHKLOK is an illustrated/animated virtual powerhouse, occupying an elite space alongside Gorillaz. Except DETHKLOK is bigger, better, more brutal, and totally legendary.

Last year’s BABYKLOK co-headlining trek was the first DETHKLOK tour in over a decade.

“I had no idea how much fun the BABYKLOK tour would be,” remembers DETHKLOK mastermind and Metalocalypse co-creator Brendon Small. “The BABYMETAL girls are delightful, like three princesses from outer space, great singers, and great dancers. Their band is bonkers good. Being on tour with BABYMETAL was a dream come true. I fell in love with the girls, the band, and their whole crew, and they threw down every night. An amazing group – lightning in a bottle. I’m so excited to share the stage with them, catch up, and hang out. I’m so glad this came together so we can reunite with our great pals.”

DETHKLOK, the world’s most brutal band are the stars of the Metalocalypse TV series and films. Revolver Magazine calls writer, director, and composer Brendon Small the “musical mastermind” behind DETHKLOK. A vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, Small has made four DETHKLOK albums and assorted releases with legendary metal drummer Gene Hoglan (Dark Angel, Death, Testament, Strapping Young Lad).

2023 saw a flurry of activity from the melodic death metal titans. Army of the Doomstar was a sequel to Metalocalypse: The Doomstar Requiem, released in 2013. 2023 also saw the release of the Army of the Doomstar Original Motion Picture Soundtrack. Dethalbum IV was the most celebrated album of the band’s career, boasting unstoppable anthems like “Aortic Desecration,” “SOS,” and “Gardener of Vengeance.”

Rolling Stone named Dethalbum IV one of the 11 Best Metal Albums of 2023. “The first DETHKLOK album in more than a decade is totally brutal – and totally worth the wait,” Rolling Stone declared. “Small and Hoglan’s dexterous playing also make the music stand majestically on its own terms. You don’t need to be in on the joke to jump into the pit and mosh along.”

Adult Swim aired four seasons of Metalocalypse from 2006 to 2013. Premiere global and media entertainment company Warner Bros. Discovery distributes the Metalocalypse series and feature films.

“This is a very fun time with the tour, the album, and the movie. I don’t know if DETHKLOK will be touring forever,” he adds. “So, it’s important for people to know they should get it while it’s hot.”

DragonForce, the Grammy-nominated power metallers, are poised to release a comprehensive career-spanning "Best Of" the first time the UK band has presented this kind of historical "chapter & verse" collection.

Killer Elite – The Hits, The Highs, The Vids is scheduled for an July 22 release through Spinefarm Records. The 22-track set —two hours and 30 minutes of music, featuring both studio and live material, with promo clips added to the Deluxe set— fully showcases the ambition, variety and skill of the group's musical output, now taking in six studio albums; elements of thrash, speed and power metal are spread across accelerated rockers and more measured, melodic offerings.

It encompasses everything, from their biggest hit, "Through The Fire And Flames," a staple inclusion on several best-selling video games (i.e. Guitar Hero) and recently used as the basis of a U.S. mockumentary featuring the band and Oculus Rift founder Palmer Luckey through "Dawn Over a New World," a ballad harking back to the early years.

With latest recruit, singer Marc Hudson, now having two studio albums under his belt (2012's The Power Within and 2014's Maximum Overload), Killer Elite… is the chance for new fans to familiarise themselves with glories past and for long-standing supporters to revel in the attention to detail of a multi-format package balancing audience faves with compositions close to the collective DragonForce heart…

Guitarist Herman Li, who started the group in 1999 with fellow shredder Sam Totman, says, "The aim of this release is to give a strong flavour of everything we've recorded so far, and I like to think it shows a lot of diversity. Certainly, we tried to make it as broad-based as possible. Since Marc joined the band (replacing original frontman ZP Theart), we've actually released some of our speediest songs and some our most melodic compositions, too. DragonForce isn't just about the relentless tempos and the flashy solos; ultimately, it'd the feel of the music that counts…"

The release will be available in the following formats:

*2 CD package (The Hits, The Highs)
*Deluxe Special Digi-Pack Edition, including a DVD featuring all of the band's promo clips (The Hits, The Highs, The Vids)
*Digital download (The Hits, The Highs)

The band has also set to work on the follow-up to Maximum Overload at Fascination Street studios in Sweden with producer Jens Bogren; this new record is provisionally scheduled for a mid-March 2017 release with a world tour to follow.

DragonForce will be headlining the ProgPower Festival in Atlanta on Wednesday September 7 and a special "up close and personal" show at St. Vitus in Brooklyn on Saturday, September 10. At both shows the band will be playing a "Best Of" set to reflect the tracklisting of the Killer Elite album.
