Brazilian death metal unit CRYPTA are preparing to release their second beast of an album, 'Shades of Sorrow', this Friday, August 4, 2023, by unleashing another new single, entitled “The Other Side of Anger”! Formed in 2019 by former NERVOSA members Luana Dametto (drums) and Fernanda Lira (vocals), and now featuring guitarists Tainá Bergamaschi and Jessica di Falchi, CRYPTA once again stay true to the unique sound introduced on their first full-length, blending classic and modern death metal with significant extreme and black metal elements on 'Shades of Sorrow'.

Outstanding death metal drumming on “The Other Side of Anger” sets the scene for threatening vocals, evoking an uncontrollable storm. The new single comes with a high-quality studio video. With millions of video views and performances at the famous Wacken Open Air among other premium festivals, the band will add another highlight when supporting Ghost at two shows later this year.

Fernanda Lira on “The Other Side of Anger”:

“With the third single we wanted to show one more side of the album! ‘Lord of Ruins’ brought the melodies that permeate the whole record, ‘Trial of Traitors’ has the aggressiveness and a fast pace and with ‘The Other Side of Anger’, we wanted to show the more gloomy, slow paced side of the record!"

Brazilian death metal band CRYPTA have revealed another furious new single, entitled “Trial of Traitors”! After smashing in with the relentless “Lord of Ruins”, the first single to debut from the outfit’s sophomore album, 'Shades of Sorrow' (out August 4, 2023 via Napalm Records), “Trial of Traitors” serves as the second harbinger off of the new record, breaking in with merciless, impressive guitar work and inciting an uncontrollable storm of pure rage that screams for more! Furthermore, its creative and devilishly brutal official music video supports the track perfectly.

In 2021, CRYPTA stormed to the top with their acclaimed debut full-length, 'Echoes of the Soul', landing at #55 on the Official German Album Charts and debuting at #15 on both the US Hard Music Albums and Top New Artist Albums Charts. Now, both fans and critics alike eagerly anticipate the release of the band’s new offering, teased by the bone-shaking “Trial of Traitors” today.

CRYPTA on “Trial of Traitors”:  “"We decided to have 'Trial of Traitors' as one of the singles because, although it's the fastest, most aggressive song on album, it still has a lot of our already characteristic melodic work here and there, so we thought this blend of these two extremes would be a good sneak-peak into what people can expect overall from the album!"

Brazilian death metal outfit CRYPTA are preparing to unleash their second beast of an album, 'Shades of Sorrow', on August 4, 2023 via Napalm Records! Formed in 2019 by former NERVOSA members Luana Dametto (drums) and Fernanda Lira (vocals), and now featuring guitarists Tainá Bergamaschi and Jessica di Falchi, CRYPTA broke the charts with their highly praised very first album, 'Echoes of the Soul', in 2021. The album received massive critical and fan base acclaim for a debut release (including landing at #55 on the Official German Album Charts and debuting at #15 on both the US Hard Music Albums and Top New Artist Albums charts).

On 'Shades of Sorrow', the band stays true to their unique sound that was introduced on their first full-length, blending classic and modern death metal with significant extreme and black metal elements. Straight from the burning gates of death metal salvation, their brand new single, "Lord of Ruins", serves as a relentless harbinger of what the new album has to offer and a smashing dose of true CRYPTA sound, leaving the listener breathless.

The song is highlighted by a demonic, captivating official video that showcases the full power of the matchless combination.

Luana Dametto (drums) on "Lord of Ruins":"’Lord of Ruins’ was our pick for a first single ‘cause it combines both melodic and aggressive melodies that are present throughout the whole album. So we thought it's a good representation of what to expect of the whole piece. It's also the final song of the record and it has a very impactful meaning. It’s the closure of the whole album concept and it also fits perfectly to the artwork concept we had in mind."

Brazilian death metal trailblazers CRYPTA dropped one of the most impactful metal debuts of 2021 with 'Echoes Of The Soul', subsequently hitting the US Current Hard Music Albums chart at #15 and Canadian Hard Music Albums chart at #13, amongst others, and receiving massive acclaim from media and fans alike. Now, this unstoppable force is preparing to tour the USA for the very first time, supporting a massive line-up!

CRYPTA are thrilled to be featured as support on all dates of the upcoming USA headline tour of death metal legends Morbid Angel, featuring direct support from Revocation. Additional support on select dates will come from Skeletal Remains and Vitriol.

The tour will begin in Pensacola, FL on March 15 and visit countless major cities before ending on April 22 back in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Tickets go on sale this Friday, November 4 at 10:00am ET.

CRYPTA's Fernanda Lira says: "We are beyond excited for our first tour ever in the USA - we know they're one of our most solid fanbases around the world and we've been working so hard to finally be able to meet them all on the road! Besides that, Morbid Angel is one of our main influences and the whole package is simply killer - can it get any more special than that? We don't think so!!!"

Brazilian/Dutch death metal firestarters CRYPTA dropped one of the most anticipated metal debuts of 2021 with Echoes Of The Soul, subsequently hitting the the US Current Hard Music Albums chart at #15 and Canadian Hard Music Albums chart at #13, amongst others and receiving massive acclaim from media and fans alike. Now, the high-voltage unit is thrilled to announce an official reissue of the album bundled with a very special bonus 7-inch, out April 1, 2022 via Napalm Records.

This razor-sharp treat features the brand new song “I Resign”, a lost bonus track from the debut sessions, as well as a hard-hitting live version of “Shadow Within”, a track found on Echoes Of The Soul. Now is the perfect occasion to gift fans with something special, after CRYPTA were forced to postpone their European tour earlier this year due to the ongoing pandemic.

Along with a riotous new official video, cutting track “I Resign” kicks in like an all-destroying wrecking-ball, showcasing another demonic facet of the four-woman force of fury.

Tainá Bergamaschi on “I Resign”:

“'I Resign' is a song that features elements from most of our main influences, along with characteristics from both our previously released album Echoes of the Soul and the new material we’ve been writing. We tried to blend epic melodies followed by aggressive riffs throughout the track, which, combined with the lyrics, tell a story of despair.”

Fernanda Lira adds:

“We thought unveiling an unreleased track right now would be a great way of gifting our fans with something nice while they wait for our tours to start! Also, the lyrics, which are more current than ever, are a good food-for-thought while listening to this very special song for us.”
