BLACK VEIL BRIDES frontman Andy Biersack has launched a side project called ANDY BLACK, which he described as a "fun and artistic way for me to try something that musically I wouldn't want to force into BLACK VEIL BRIDES." In an interview with Kerrang! magazine, Biersack explained how the "dark wave" project came into being, saying, "My whole life, I've loved '80s synth and goth rock like THE SISTERS OF MERCY and DEPECHE MODE. My biggest love has always been the music BLACK VEIL BRIDES make, but that doesn't mean I don't listen to or enjoy other things."

Biersack added, "The older I get, the more interest I have in writing other kinds of music… The idea of doing it as a side project didn't really interest me until I got about nine songs in and realized I had some great stuff."

Asked why he couldn't incorporate his songs into BLACK VEIL BRIDES, Biersack replied, "There are so many bands I loved growing up whose singer would have a new idea for a sound and then completely ruin the band by taking a shit on the whole audience. That wasn't my interest."

Biersack continued, "It would be different if the reason I was doing this was that I wanted to get away from BLACK VEIL BRIDES . . . this is more that I didn't want to cross the two things."

Biersack told The Pulse Of Radio the relationships within BLACK VEIL BRIDES are as solid as they can be.

"We've been together for a while and it's sort of like any other band that's been touring for a while together, you develop sort of a gang mentality," he said. "And obviously like group of grown men who are sort of brothers, we have our little fights and we bicker, but for the most part, you know, I think we always go into everything as 'This might be hard to do, but we're going to do this together,' and we try to enjoy our experiences together."

The singer said that when he informed his bandmates about the project, "I made it very clear… it was a passion project on the side, and everybody in the band gets it."

Biersack has not made plans to record an ANDY BLACK album yet, but has filmed a music video.

BLACK VEIL BRIDES is currently in the midst of recording its fourth album, which will follow up last year's "Wretched And Divine: The Story Of The Wild Ones".

Los Angeles rockers Black Veil Brides have been hard at work on their brand new EP only exclusive for iTunes has revealed the artwork and release date of December 13th. The EP will include two cover tunes and one brand new song! The band is currently also writing all new material for a follow-up release to their latest LP "Set The World On Fire" and will revise their U.S. short line of dates come the New Year due to having to cancel them due to Andy Biersack doing this thing as always.

Los Angeles theatrical rockers BLACK VEIL BRIDES have released a video trailer for their "Rebels" EP, due this Christmas. The 15-second clip features footage of vocalist Andy Biersack recording a cover version of BILLY IDOL's "Rebel Yell".

In an interview with the Artisan News conducted this past summer, Biersack said that BLACK VEIL BRIDES planned to release an EP before heading into the studio to begin work on its next full-length album. "[It's] just a couple of songs and some stuff that we've been toying around with, some tracks from the last record that didn't make it to the [last] record, kind of revamping some stuff," he said. "We just wanna keep putting out material while our fans are interested and happy."

As for a new album, Biersack said BLACK VEIL BRIDES hoped to begin recording by next April. Guitarist Jinxx added, "We definitely have a whole album worth of material. We're always coming up with ideas and we have [recording gear] in the back of our bus; we'll just put down ideas whenever we can."

Los Angeles theatrical rockers BLACK VEIL BRIDES have postponed the remaining shows on their U.K. tour after frontman Andy Biersack broke his nose in Luxembourg on October 26.

Even though Biersack and his bandmates played sold-out concert last night (Saturday, October 29) at London's O2 Shepherds Bush Empire, they released an official statement this morning announcing their decision to cance their shows at Wolverhampton Civic Hall (October 30) and Bristol O2 Academy (November 1), as well as their Oxford Street HMV signing and special Halloween show at London's Borderline on Monday.

"BLACK VEIL BRIDES have announced that the remainder of the UK tour has had to be postponed due to Andy's injuries sustained while performing in Luxembourg on October 26," the statement reads. "The band performed last night at the Shepherds Bush Empire in London and despite making it through the show, Andy was in excruciating pain and had difficulty singing and breathing. As a result, he needed to see a doctor after the show. He has been advised not to perform for the next three weeks to allow himself time to rest, heal and fully recover. The band are working on rescheduling the remaining shows in Wolverhampton and Bristol and an announcement will be made about this [as soon as possible]. BLACK VEIL BRIDES would like to thank the BVB army for all their support and understanding and the band will be back on the road with AVENGED SEVENFOLD in late November in the U.S. once Andy is fully recovered. Thank you."

In an interview with Revolver magazine, Biersack said he suffered his most recent injury as a result of his "typical routine to entertain the crowd …. rolling around and being crazy."

"Normally, before 'Legacy' goes into a breakdown-y guitar solo-y kind of part, I get down on my knees and do a mock prayer," he said. "I did that and then rolled backwards and stood up and I didn't realize I was directly under the four-foot drum riser. I smashed the bone dead center on my skull. From above my eyebrows, right down the bridge of my nose, that's where I cracked. I was unconscious for a second.

"I knew something terrible had happened immediately," he continued. "I jumped up, but I was still in shock and … I started getting really dizzy and stumbled my way offstage and got to the backstage area. I positioned myself in front of a mirror and saw it was huge and ridiculous. And that's when the pain set in and it was pretty excruciating. But there wasn't a lot of bleeding or anything because of where it broke."

Vocalist Andy Biersack of Los Angeles theatrical rockers BLACK VEIL BRIDES broke his nose during the band's concert in Luxembourg Wednesday night (October 26). As a result, the group has been forced to put all of its previously announced European shows on hold until further notice.

Andy Tweets, "For those asking, during last night's show I broke my nose down the center, splitting the bone. . . I apologize and promise to do my best to recover. Excruciating pain and it's my own damn stage antics fault. I promise to try my best to heal quickly."

This isn't the first time Biersack broke something on his body, he broke three ribs back in June trying to jump onto a stage from a 15-foot balcony during the band's concert that took place at Hot Topic in Hollywood, California. Though he was injured he continued the showcase finishing the gig despite his injuries.

Los Angeles theatrical rockers Black Veil Brides frontman Andy Biersack has revealed to Artisan News that the band will release a new EP in early 2012 prior to entering the studio to begin recording a new full-length CD. He said (see video below), “We’re gonna be putting out an EP, hopefully around the first of the year — just a couple of songs and some stuff that we’ve been toying around with, some tracks from the last record that didn’t make it to the [last] record, kind of revamping some stuff. Black Veil Bride's sophomore release "Set The World On Fire" released this past week via Lava Music/Universal Republic Records sold an estimate of 20,000 to 25,000 copies in the United States in just its first week. This lead the band to do a promotional run of Hot Topic Meet and Greets across Southern California which included a free show happening June 18th at Hollywood's Hot Topic courtyard.

But with such success comes a tragedy and this struck frontman Andy Biersack during that Saturday night performance. During the band's 35-minute set Biersack climbed atop a platform and attempted to scoot/jump across it and back onto the stage but in his mists of doing this he fell on his left side breaking three ribs. Though he was indeed seriously injured Biersack continued to perform without resistance but has now been hospitalized.

Footage of the occurrence was caught on tape by a BVB Army recruiter and let's just say it isn't a pretty sight to  bear witness too. As such the Black Veil Brides will after the need of rescheduling will embark on this summer's Vans Warped Tour and then begin a spree of dates in the fall alongside Seattle's Aiden.

Black Veil Brides frontman Andy Six says that he will be using his real surname instead of going by Six he will be known by Biersack. Andy says that "It's not necessarily like I'm trying to abolish the name [Andy Six]," he explains. "I don't mind if people call me that as it's always been a nickname. The name was always like a defense mechanism when I was a kid, but I no longer have to hide behind that. I'm very happy with who I am and what I've created."

Black Veil Bride's frontman Andy Biersack was interviewed recently and told the reason behind why the music video for "Carolyn" was never made. He went into saying that since they were already in the process of making their second album that they didn't want to go back to what was already created last year "We Stitched These Wounds" (2010) and decided to move forward and just concentrate on the new record rather than their old material. But the band is very happy with the song and happy it means so much to them and their fans. Andy went on to mention the title of the band's upcoming brand new video which just wrapped up shooting in Los Angeles. The title of the new single and video is "Fallen Angles". So be sure to keep a look out for those within the next few months.
