SHARKY SHARKY Reveals Animated TV Series
Children’s rock band and viral sensation SHARKY SHARKY, featuring a band of massively-costumed Sharks playing infectious, life-lesson-themed songs, has revealed “Hook, Line and Inker,” the pilot episode for their new TV show, The Adventures of Sharky Sharky.
Hotly tipped to be the next big thing, SHARKY SHARKY’s new TV show follows the Sharks on their adventures, as they play rock music around the world, meeting friends, foes and colorful characters.

Mudfight Talks of New Music in the Punk Scene!
Punk rockers MUDFIGHT have two single's out, with an EP expected this summer! The band goes into great detail about the punk scene, the band's source material, and what plans are in-store for them. See what else the band had to talk about, as far as their music goes and much more.
1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members
After making music with many different friends, vocalist Max basically founded the band, as he wanted to bring back punk rock to the people. He asked drummer Dominik while partying in town and the two formed a band the next days, called "Scumbag". The lineup of the members changed constantly over time until we found Alex as the missing part, that we have searched for. (Again while partying in town: Guess that is, how it is supposed to be) . A short talk and a few drinks later and the next day, he was our new guitarist. This all happened quite accurate a year ago!
2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?
The name "Mudfight" comes from the legendary Woodstock 1994 set of our idols from Green Day, which ended up in a big Mudfight!
3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?
We are all from Gmunden in Upper Austria (Near Wels and Linz), which is where we all live at the moment and where we get the most support from. The music scene here is pretty diverse, ranging from Soundcloud-rap to folk or metal and rock music! We do not have many young local bands, however our former guitarist, is a very talented solo musician! She makes folk and soft rock music, going with the name SodL. (Instagram: sodlmusic) We can highly recommend everyone to check her out for some chilled vibes. 😊
4. How would you describe your style?
As mentioned, before we come out of the punk scene. Nevertheless, we are not scared of trying something new and are not always chasing the norm, but generally we would say: Short and fast tracks with wild guitar solos, punchy drums and catchy bass lines! You definitely can hear influences by rock legends like Green Day, Nirvana, The Ramones or AC/DC! Our standard sentence for style is: Nevermind the Dookie, Let There Be Mudfight! (This were the exact words of the owner and our dear friend from our local record store "Good Things") Addressing albums: Nevermind The Bollocks, Nevermind, Dookie and Let There Be Rock!
5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?
As we are a very young band, we currently have released two singles: "Wasted" (2 Songs) and "Torn Away" (Lead single of our upcoming release!) "Wasted" is best described as a track for your 90's skate park session! Second song of "Wasted", named "Dry Mouth" has a more grungy vibe, reminiscent of Nirvana, but more punk! Lead single "Torn Away" is a fast punk banger, perfect to go wild and crazy! Stay tuned about our upcoming release, it is the one we are most proud of yet!
6. Do you have any new music in the works?
We are writing new music all the time, especially the last months in quarantine, because we had lots of time! However, we currently are focusing around our upcoming EP "Safe Zone", coming out on the 12th of June, 2020!
7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?
We had lots of stuff planned for this year, but due to the CoViD-19 pandemic, we sadly must postpone most of our shows to a subsequent date or the next year… Plans involved playing small festivals and a big summer open air show in our hometown!
8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?
Bigger shows and sweeping the audience away would be awesome! I think we have done a good job so far, but there is certainly more to it and we try to get it out. Our goals range from: Starting from playing bigger festivals to crazy ideas for live shows, like stage diving with a drum kit…. There is so much, but for now, we just want to keep recording new music and playing at every show we can get, as far at it is possible!

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?
Our goal is to leave a good-feeling on the listener, after listening, because we like motivating tracks the most! My songs come from the bottom of my heart. When I feel depressed about something, I try to write about it – Every song has a meaning for me but should have a different for any other listener! Every story should have a place in one song, so that it helps as many people as possible to feel good or to help people go through hard times! I would say the most important thing to remember is, that music is connecting us!
Indigo Express the Love of Music and the Future It Upholds!
Rock pop 90's inspired act INDIGO have released their debut EP "The Distance Part I", the first of three EP's that will be the entire debut album once released in completion. For the time being, the band will continue to work on music, play when the time arrives and just make more and more music! Discover what the band had to express about the music and their plans for the future below.
1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
Tristan (singer/guitarist/songwriter): Well, I have released a solo EP in 2015 (Tristan Gauthier « The Sunny Side of the Street ») and I was so broke at this time that I had to make the hard decision to put my music aside and develop the music school I was creating at the same time. I told myself, do your best with this project and in a few years you’ll might be able to work on your music again without the fear of ending up in the street, going back to my parents house or something. And it worked! A year ago I was ready for it and a friend introduced me to a nice lad named Alexis who wanted to work in Paris. We got along so well that he ended up being a drum teacher for my school and the drummer of my band! He then talked about the project to his longtime friend Noé who is an incredible bass player and that was it! The band was formed!
2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?
Tristan: Hum, well, it was one of these nights when I was thinking about waaay too much things and couldn’t sleep! (laughs) I was thinking about the fact that I’ve always felt like almost an « alien » in a world so hard to understand and I’ve made some researches that night on the internet and found out about the Indigo’s movement. Ignoring the fact that some people take it way too seriously, the so-called "indigos people" are people who don’t feel like they really belong here, they are hypersensitive people, creative people, empathetic, interested in spirituality etc etc so it put a word on how I felt and I loved the way it sounded and, on top of that, indigo is also a wonderful color isn’t it!? (laughs)
3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?
Tristan: We all originally comes from west of France but are based in Paris. The music scene in France have always been very exciting but is almost totally ignored by the medias that prefers to glorify macho rappers, polished music and artists that sings in French. Oh my god! France is sooo obsessed with the fact that "you are French so you HAVE TO sing in French!". It makes no sense to me. Its like, telling a French chef to stop making pizzas because it’s an Italian thing! (laughs) But it seems like it’s changing a little bit, you know, we are a generation that knows how to use social medias in a good way so you can grab a large audience little by little. The best example about that could be the French band Last Train. They work so hard for the music scene, makes some really good songs and they totally deserve some credits in France and around the globe.4. How would you describe your style?
Tristan: Well, I was a teenager in the 90's which is for me the last big decade for rock music and naturally my songs are very influenced by a mix between, I would say, the "grunge" scene and the "brit-pop" scene maybe? But I also love power pop bands like Nada Surf or the Foo Fighters and you know, Noé and Alexis loves to play pop music too, so it makes it all not sounding like some "90's old fashioned band", well, I hope not! (laughs), but more like bands making new with old like Real Estate, Biffy Clyro, The War on Drugs and stuff like that.
5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?
Tristan: We just released our first EP "The Distance: part I " which, as the title says, is the first part of three EPs that will form a full record when they’ll all be out. The 5 songs shows our indie pop side on tracks like "Darwin ", "Like a Seed in the Sand" & "The Last Romantic Boy on Earth", power pop on "Water my Flowers" and even acoustic on the bonus track "Indigo Dreams". It all came along with a music video for the first single ("Like a Seed in the Sand") in which I try not to stop singing and staring at the camera while being mistreated by my band’s mates. It’s like a metaphor of not letting some difficult times distracts you from your own goals and dreams. Sounds kind of appropriate with the crisis we’re all going through these days! (sigh)
6. Do you have any new music in the works?
Tristan: Sure! The second part of the project is almost ready to get recorded this summer! It will show our more rock and raw side and we’ll go back to the great Montmartre Recording studio in Paris (Woodkid, Lily Wood & the Prick etc) which is a really nice place where to record some music with the best staff ever, absolutely lovely, talented and professional.
7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?
Tristan: Damn.. (sigh) we’re so frustrated as we were supposed to do our very first concert in April at the exciting indie venue the Supersonic in Paris but it was, of course, cancelled. Alexis and Noé did many shows with some other projects over the last few years but, except for some little solo acoustic gigs, I didn’t really go on stage since 2015 and I totally feel like a lion in a cage right now! (laughs) So, we are planning to play to this venue I told you in October or something and we’ll try to put on a tour in France but of course we would also love to play in the UK and some other countries!
8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?
Tristan: write some new music, record it, go on tour, stay true to ourselves and having fun by making what we love the most: music.

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?

Inner Skin Says Lots on Themselves and the Music They Create!
Alternative rockers INNER SKIN was started by a mere musical projected which would lead to what and where they have come to be now. During their start up until now, the band has released nothing but single's with way more underway! Find out what else had to be said from the band, about themselves and their music.
1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
INNER SKIN had an unusual start: it started as a project more than a band, then, later on, it became also a band as the two founders musicians took on board two additional musicians to play live. It all started when Giorgio Ranciaro, drummer and band manager, after years of living in Amsterdam moved to Rome and thanks to an introduction call from the friend and producer Fabio Trentini (Guano Apes, H Bock's and many more) met Alberto Frasson. The understanding and connection was so instantaneous that Fabio, Alberto and Giorgio immediately went to work on Alberto's demos. Shortly after, WHISPERS, an energetic pop rock song and ONCE, a ballad with rhythm changes and plastic sounds are born. Then it came the production of some video clips including the one for POISON. This video has been among the finalists of movie festivals such as the Jelly Fest and The Rockfest - an epic showcase of the greatest music videos from around the world taking place in the heart of Hollywood, CA -. and also a nominee in the 11th Los Angeles New Media Film Festival, for Best of Category, Audience and / or Grand Prize Awards. 2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?
INNER SKIN was originally the name of the song that is now called "ONCE". We thought that INNER SKIN was so evocative as our skin connects us to the outside world, but our inner skin connects us to our intimacy and what better way to do it than through our musical language? So we decided to use INNER SKIN for the name of our band.
3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?
the band was originally born in Rome with Alberto, Giorgio and Fabio Trentini (external producer) plus two additional musicians, Tristan Pesarini on guitar, who arrived after a few line up changes and Francesco Tripaldi on bass. With this line-up we started doing concerts in central and northern Italy and in the summer of 2020 we would have had to do various gigs, all unfortunately postponed due to COVID19. There are plenty of good bands and artists here in Italy, just to mention some, our friends Zagreb from north east Italy, and Daniela Ciampitti, Dany, from Rome too and another cool band called WakeUPCall. I’m going to forget someone for sure !!
4. How would you describe your style?
We are an alternative rock band. But it must be said that the style is uniquely defined by Alberto's own way of writing, with dark sounds sought after already in pre-production. Then everything gets further optimized in the production phase. Let’s say that the result could be defined as a modern and never predictable genuine alt. rock.
5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?
We have currently published 5 singles:"WHISPERS" was the first song, than “ONCE", “POISON” "CARE", and "BROTHERS" and two official video clips, then there is also (May 2020) an unofficial video of a song that we have not yet published called LONE SLEEPER and which we will publish this summer.
6. Do you have any new music in the works?
Definitely. In this lock down period, we have finished producing the third of three new singles that we have yet to release and Alberto has written new songs. Despite the world wide situation, it is a very intense and productive period for us.
7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?
2020 had in the works a good number of live concerts here in Italy. Unfortunately, because of COVID19, everything has been canceled, so we are waiting for the summer / autumn to be able to reschedule some gigs. In 2021, we plan to start playing abroad, especially in Germany, perhaps as an open act for some known band.
8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?Surely playing live as much as possible, continuing to publish singles, writing new songs, shooting new video clips, increasing our social reputation and evaluating the opportunity to sign with some labels or majors that can bring added value to our work.

Osovets Discusses of Living, Creating, and Developing Within Life!
Russian go getters OSOVETS have released their new album called "Мощь" or "Power", along with a few single's and video clips. The whole band consisting of four members discusses the music that they create and the life they uphold to live through.
1. First of all, please introduce your band and band members to our readers.
Vadim: There are four of us. The Moscow Four. I am Vadim Nikitin a vocalist, guitarist Vlad Vasin, drummer Maxim Finagin, as well as bass-guitarist and backing vocalist Dmitry Spivakov.
2. Can you tell us about the formation of the band. How did you guys meet and all, was there any specialty behind the band's name?
Vlad: The band was formed in 2016. We all found each other on the internet. At first, the group consisted of three people: Vadim, Vlad and Maxim. We needed a bass player. We started looking for one. The bass player was in Vadim’s football team. Vadim having played football. One of the players on this team turned out to be a bass player. Vadim invited him to join the group. So we got Dmitry.
Maxim: The name of the band was suggested by Vadim. We named the band in honor of the Polish fortress Osovec and the event that occurred in the fortress back in 1915 during the First World War. I'm talking about the legendary Attack of the Dead.
3. Please tell us about the concept and lyrical themes of your music and the style of music that your band creates?
Dmitry: We perform Industrial Metal with elements of Doom Metal and Gothic Metal. Our music is characterized by the hard hitting sounds of metal provided by the guitar riffs, melodic samples, and matching rhythm and brutalizing vocal chords. In general, we do ot try to adhere to any one concept within our own music. We can create any song really. The main thing is that the song comes from our hearts and souls combined. Like four years ago, when we first had started, some of our fans had started calling our style the "New Russian Hard Metal", by analogy with the Neue Deutsch Harte. I do not know how true this comparison is to us though. The author of all the texts is Vadim, and I think it is better to have him tell more about it.
Vadim: About poems. Our texts are about people and for people. I write mainly about my personal experiences. The only exceptions were the songs "Аокигахара" and "Эпилог", which refers to the post-apocalyptic world. Sometimes it puts me in terrible tales. Newly based lyrics are all about love. Love is fuel for the poet. I write about the relationship between two people, suffering, about hidden and bashful desires and emotions. But the most important rule that I observe when writing poetry is inspiration. The text should inspire, ignite, excite. The singer must want to sing his poems.
4. Speaking of music, tell us about your single called Aokigahara?
Vlad: This is our most famous song at present. She appeared quite by accident. Once I came up with a riff, I sent this it to Vadim, and just at that moment he was watching some kind of horror film about a forest of suicides and it all worked.
Vadim: Yes, I watched the movie "Ghost Forest" directed by Jason Zad. The film impressed me a lot, and here such a gorgeous riff comes. I immediately wrote the text. The song was very good to us.
Maxim: The song tells about the famous Japanese suicide forest Aokigahara. I must say this, right away that the Osovets band does not promote suicide and does not call for suicide. We value life, we are only for life. In the song itself, the story is more about the afterlife- the spirits that, according to legend, live in this forest.
5. What about that other single with a music video for a track called "Power"?
Dmitry: This is a man’s song. Those who watched the clip drew attention to the fact that it shows a lot of weapons, military equipment, explosions and fires. These are metaphors in fact.
Vadim: Yes, the song is about a man’s soul, about his life being strong with stormy emotions. The military atmosphere of the song does not mean that the band is militarized. The soul is a battlefield, and the heart is a nuclear explosion. And after such a battle, empty, scorched, black, cold earth remains.
6. Both of these tracks are taken from your album "Power"?
Dmitry: No. Aokigahara was released separately from the album. This track is a stand-alone single.
7. Have you continued to write any new material in continuation of “Power”?
Vlad: Yes, a few more songs were written during the work on the album “Power”, but these songs will be included on the next album.
8. How is the metal scene or music scene moving in your country?
Maxim: The development of metal culture in Russia is at an average level relative to the United States and Europe. Only two large festivals exist in Russia: this is “Нашествие” and “Rock over Volga”. The concept of these festivals is not just metallic. Most of the bands performing at these festivals perform soft rock. Hard rock bands are rare guests here. We hope that in the future the situation will change for the better. We are doing our best to bring this future closer.
9. Can you tell us if you have already played abroad?
Dmitry: No, we have not played in other countries yet. Russia is a very big country. The size of the territory of Russia is equal to the territories of the USA and Canada together. The distance from Moscow to St. Petersburg is equal to two distances from Berlin to Prague. A foreign tour for Russian groups is a long journey. Although we planned to give a concert in Estonia this year, but the concert was postponed indefinitely due to the pandemic.
10. What are the plans for the remainder of this year in 2020?
Vadim: We always keep our plans in a secret. I consider it a bad idea to talk about an event if it has not happened yet. This is a sign. I’ll say for sure that there will be a lot of interesting and good things. The band lives, develops, creates new songs. We do not forget about our fans and do only the best for them. All will be.11. Life In Idle Talks of New Music, Current Dilemma, and the Plans Ahead
Pop-punk, alternative, hard rockers LIFE IN IDLE got their start back in 2011. But since have released a debut album "She's Out To Get Me", with all new music on the way, including shows possibly! The band got together to talk about music and the crisis at hand for the meantime....
1. So tell me about Life in Idle, why did you decide to name the band with such a title? What kind of ideas did you explore beforehand.
David: “We kinda just stumbled upon our name one unsuspecting day when we were still a young band in HS. The quote “life in idle” was written on our drummer’s practice pad and it seemed to be fitting and stick with us. Music has really grown into a way for us to keep our lives exciting and spontaneous so it’s actually kind of like a paradox in the name itself.”
Alex: “We ended up changing our name when we tried out for the talent show Freshman year of HS and our school counselor assumed our name at the time, “Get Up High”, was a reference to drugs. We actually just wanted people to come jump around and mosh to our songs.”
Joe: “Before being LII, we were named Business! before Pleasure and Thoughts of Tomorrow. Definitely happy we ended up with Life in Idle.”
2. In your opinion what is the best way to define Life in Idle's sound and style.
David: “I’d say we are an Alternative-punk band that pulls various amounts of influences from different sounds relative to the genre. We try and exploit different sounds in different songs of ours. Right now, we’re writing more of a Midwest-punk style album with more technical guitar parts and melodies.”
Joe: “Personally I find the best way to define the sound of our band is by listening to us and deciding for yourself. A lot of people compare us to bands I would have never thought to compare us to. A lot of people call us genres we don’t call ourselves. The listener is the person who really gets to decide what they get out of our music and what they think of our sound and style.”
Alex: “I feel like we deliver a really classic sound with a sharp new edge with a focus on songwriting, instrumentation and tone.”
John: “That's kinda hard to say right now, since we are changing our ways a little bit. I feel like we are still kind of sticking to our roots with that sort of 1990's-2000's punk sound, but we’ve also gathered more modern influences and have veered off to have a much more mature and more emo sound.”
3. What are your main musical influences? How huge is their influence in your sound?
David: “My big two are Tom Delonge of Angels & Airwaves and Brendon Urie of Panic! At The Disco. Their vision, passion and success are something I hope to achieve one day. Meeting Tom Delonge was a highlight of my life and I gave him an LII guitar pick.”
Alex: “Travis Barker. He’s constantly working on himself as an artist and working to play the best he can. He never misses a beat and never loses his fire. His drive has always been the biggest inspiration to me.”
Joe: “I’ve always really been inspired by Green Day, just as a whole band. They have the most solid music writing and discography in my opinion and they have wild stamina as musicians live. Cage the Elephant is another band that I’ve always liked because they’re different.”
4. How about the lyrical content, what sort of theme's does your music tend to cover?
Alex: “Our first album was written about a lot of the experiences we had while we were first starting the band up. A lot of it was collaborative efforts between David and I. Our songs are both deep and vague on purpose. On the surface, some of the topics we cover are kind of shallow but if you listen you can really dive into a much deeper meaning with most if not all of it.”
David: “We wrote a lot of SOTGM lyrics about a breakup one of us went through. A lot of our new upcoming stuff while still touching on romance is about our personal experiences such as loss, anger & confusion, self-reflection, accepting yourself and mental health. Our songs really tend to help us deal with some of these feelings we are having when we write them and perform them.”
5. You went on to release a single with accompanying music video called "State of Mind", along wit another new song called "Catch 22", discuss for us.
Alex: “State of Mind was released with our first album not as a single. It was one of our favorites, as well as our listeners, so we knew we had to get a music video out for it before releasing anything new! “Catch 22” was the first song we wrote kind of thrusting ourselves in this nu-emo punk direction we are going now.”
David: “Our guy Patrick Ferguson really helped us a lot and killed it with the idea for the video in making it come to life. Catch 22 was our first single to really seem to take off and gain traction on it’s own. Right now, it’s just surpassed 25,000 streams on Spotify. We’ve heard a lot of great feedback on the direction of the new more mature sound we are going for and we hope the response keeps up as we work to keep writing this music.”
Joe: “We had a fun time making our first official music video. One of the fun behind the scene parts was that we actually got to break down the drywall of our fake walls on the set of the shoot. Then, we lugged all our gear a mile and a half to a secluded location for the video ending which was a good time too! It was worth all the effort to see it all come together as sick as it did.”
6. Now are these "new" single's as far all new material, or are they tracks to come off your album "She's Out To Get Me"? Do you have any new music as far as a follow-up in the works?
Alex: “State of Mind was actually the last rewind we are going to take to our debut album before releasing all our new stuff. Catch 22 was a new single we put out on New Years Day and our brand new song ‘Hourglass’ will be available everywhere May 22.”
David: “Yeah we do! We also just put out a stripped down Acoustic Version of our first single, ‘Paranoia’, off of SOTGM on 4/20 we had arranged to show off our softer side a bit. Coming up, we are sitting on 2 more new songs ,Lovebirds and Waterwell , which are finished and going to be released this coming summer/fall as part of our next full length record release date TBD in early 2021.”
7. Are you all supported by your relatives towards your devotion to music?
David: “Our families couldn’t be more supportive of all our dreams! I’d say No parent usually is too happy when their kid drops out of college to pursue being in a punk band. We really couldn’t ask for better families to have in our corner and we love them with all our hearts.”
8. Do you have any other hobby beside music?
David: “I don’t really have many hobbies besides music. Music is pretty much my life and I love my dog, Sonny.”
Alex: “Music is my main hobby. I’m an audiophile who likes a lot of different kind of music. Discovering new music is one of my favorite hobbies as well playing Pokemon Go.”
Joe: “I like working on cars and getting my hands dirty. I’ve become the handyman of the band so they all come to me when things break now.”
John: “Besides writing songs on guitar, I enjoy spending time playing video games like Playstation and Nintendo switch and watching Star Wars.”
9. What else does the band have lined-up for 2020?
Alex: “It’s looking like a really exciting year for us despite being set back by Covid 19 restrictions. On the horizon for us is a lot of new music and shows.”
David: “You can expect a really big content push with us leading into our new stuff. We really appreciate all our likes/shares we get on social media, to have someone share in what you create is really one of the greatest feelings. We just copped a new passenger tour van so you can expect us to hit the road as soon as this virus lets up.”
10. Being from Ohio, would you say Ohio Is For Lovers?
Alex: “I would say so. Dayton really has a beautiful way of showing love and support when all else fails. We’ve been through a lot of tough situations and tragedies as a city here lately, between tornadoes, KKK rallies, shootings, and now Covid 19 worldwide and even though it’s been rough, you can still see so many caring smiles ready to help out anyone anywhere you look here.”
David: “Yes, because the Dayton music scene is full of nothing but such caring and supportive friends. We’re just so fortunate to have such an amazingly talented, artistic and thriving community to be growing as band within.”
Schultz Gives the Details on Music, Crisis and the Future!
Electronic industrial metal act SCHULTZ is a solo project born out of France, way back in 2002, the project not really taking off until around 2006! When Schultz had gone on to join VDREY, another performer wanting someone to play with them! The act goes into further details about the music content they have available and the current crisis at the time.
1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
Franz : SCHULTZ is a solo project born in 2002 in South of France. It became a duo with the female performer VDREY during several years and a real band since 2018 with the arrival of Guitarfox (Guitar and vocals) and Sandy Dynamite (Live dance performance and vocals).
Guitarfox : Franz asked us to join him as a backing band for one gig at the Industrial Music Fest in Cannes (French Riviera) in 2017. It was meant to be a one shot, but it went well… So Sandy and I are still in the project today.
2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?
Franz : People use to ask me this question quite often, but I must admit I still haven’t found the answer really. At the beginning of it all, I was playing in a German festival and the promoter asked me what was the band name… I have been searching on things for one night long, and finally I answered SCHULTZ. As an industrial German music fan, I thought it was a good name for this project. Simple, and easy to remember.
3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?
Franz : The band is based in Nice, south of France. Lots of bands, but I don't know all of them. The fact is there are not many places to play in there. If I had to choose one, it would be the other band of Guitarfox and Sandy called LATEX, more punk and rockabilly inspired.
4. How would you describe your style?
Franz : We can resume it as Industrial Metal but not only. Our music is a crossover of lot of things from experimental to EBM, from industrial to Punk and a lot of other influences.
Guitarfox : Dark Electronics with metal guitars… But if you like short formulas, call it Industrial Voodoo ! LOL!
5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?
Franz : We released « Shot Of Pain », our first album with the new line up last year. 12 incredible tracks mixing instrumental dance floor, and great metal industrial songs. Since then, we realized another new album called « Black Magic Party », which is really different from the last, because In Shot Of Pain, most of the electronic parts were already created when Guitarfox and Sandy joined the band. Here, this is the first time we really wrote it all together, from the first to the last second.

6. Do you have any new music in the works?
Franz : For now, we’re more about promoting the new album. It went out on the 01 of May, so times are not for new creations yet... But keep in touch !
7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?
Franz : We played some gigs last years, but not enough, because as you surely know, we love playing live. Today we’re like everybody due the situation, all of our gigs have been canceled, so we hope things will come better soon.
8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?Guitarfox : Getting rid of this fucking coronavirus so we could play live again !
Franz : Yes, we are really impatient to play live again to present you this new album.

Emerra Says New Music Coming and Hoping to Play Soon!
Alternative progressive rock band EMERRA went ahead and self-released their debut EP titled "Monochrome", along with a single called "Eclipse". All new music is in the works and will likely become a follow-up EP release. Due to the current crisis happening all over, the band just hopes to keep going and play again as well! Find out what else had to be said about their music and future.
1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
We all come from a metal background and wanted to try to do something new at a professional level. Fabian and Stefan met, when Stefan helped out Fabians Prog Metal band "In Arcane". As Stefan didn’t want to join the band full-time, Fabian asked if he was interested in starting something totally new. So in 2016 they formed "depart", an ambitious alternative rock project. Stefan knew Max, since he also helped out his former band "Eleonore" at live gigs. After "Eleonore" split, Max had no active project, so he joined "depart". After finishing our first album and after many shows, we decided that soft rock music wasn’t our thing. We changed our lineup, took our time composing new songs and renamed to project "Emerra", having formed a whole new sound. In November 2019 we released our debut EP "Monochrome" at a live performance and wanted to go big in early 2020, but that will have to wait now with the Covid crisis.
2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?
Actually we had a list of 200+ band names that we collected over the months after forming the group. The only name that wasn’t already taken was Imerra. We switched the I to an E and that’s all behind it. We wanted it to be short. It doesn’t have any meaning though. Imerra is a planet from the Star Wars universe, I think.
3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?
We are based in the Cologne area on the Rhine, which is in the west part of Germany, close to the Netherlands and Belgium border. The local scene is big over here. You can find lots of talent everywhere, it’s sometimes scary how many shows are being played and how many songs are released. Local bands we can recommend are "The Intersphere" & "Chaosbay", which had a huge influence on us. Unfortunately we don’t know them personally yet.
4. How would you describe your style?
Imagine "Karnivool", "Breaking Benjamin" and "Northlane" had a baby. That's close to us.
Our songs are composed of many different styles. From prog to simple jazz, from rock to heavy riffs. We don’t force rules onto ourselves. We just want to make complex music with no scene in mind, and we don’t want to copy anyone.
5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?
Last November we self-released "Monochrome" our debut 5-track EP and a music video of the song Eclipse (https://youtu.be/aSS00i2TcKo). Listening to that EP, what we’d love to happen is, that you listen through the whole thing without thinking about it being repetitive, but full of little surprises and great, emotional moments.
6. Do you have any new music in the works?
Since we can’t play any shows we fully invest our time in promoting our music, streaming live on twitch (https://twitch.tv/rawtype) and writing new music what seems to become our second EP.
7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?
After the corona crisis, we would love to start booking shows and get on stage again. We think that our songs have even greater impact being played on stage with the right atmosphere. Sadly, for now its streaming only.
8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?
We want to keep the bar high for every song that’s being released. Every nice comment and every view of our videos and streams is making us invest more into the band. We’d love to play more shows, reach more people and most of all make music that resonates with them. I guess it’s what all bands would love for their art.
