Japanese rock band exist†trace packed all their favorite moments from "The 19th Challenge" concert series into the year’s final show at Ebisu Club Aim.

The December 19th "CLIMAX" event featured a massive set list showcasing the different themes of the monthly one-man series which began in April.

Band leader miko (guitar/vocals): "The 19th Challenge! After 9 months, we’ve finally finished! We set many challenges for ourselves as a band, and personally I was able to accomplish my goals as well. We got to share our best moments with everyone. For this final ‘CLIMAX’ live, many of our exist†trace family joined us from overseas, too, and that made us so happy. The monthly one-man series has ended, but our challenge is not over yet. Next year and beyond, we’ll continue to challenge ourselves more and more. Please support us!"

exist†trace will hold their next one-man live, titled "19’z Premium Party 09 〜aim the next day〜", on January 9, 2018.

Japanese all-female rock band exist†trace has revealed the jacket art and track list for their upcoming 6-track EP Royal Straight Magic, due for release November 16.

Royal Straight Magic features 5 new songs written by guitarist and lead songwriter miko, and 1 new song written by guitarist Omi, who penned the fan-favorite “Shout Out” on the band’s last EP, This Is Now.

Band members Jyou (vocals) and Omi (guitar) have formed a special limited-time unit “Winter Boys” for the Survival March tour. The duo will sing surprise songs, MC the concert event, and introduce the visiting bands.

exist †trace will cap off the year with three straight one-man performances titled “Royal Straight Magical Show” in Osaka (December 17), Nagoya (December 18), and Tokyo (January 9).

Members of Archangel Diamond, the official exist†trace international fan club, will receive a bonus photo set with the Royal Straight Magic CD plus a digital download code for the November 16 release.

Japanese all-female rock band exist†trace has announced the title and release date of their new album Royal Straight Magic, due for release November 16.

The six-song EP will be the follow-up to exist†trace’s March release This Is Now. Guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter miko explains that the title represents the strength of their band’s combined forces. “When these five cards, the members of exist†trace, get together, we create the strongest hand, the best magic!” The theme of inner strength is central to the album’s concept. “Miracles do not just come to you when you wait for them. But, if you take a chance with your courage high, opportunities will always come to you. I want this album to give a strong push to people who are hesitating to step forward.”

exist†trace has also announced the “Survival March” tour in November, teaming up with popular rock groups BAND-MAID, Disqualia, Last May Jaguar, GALMET, and Soundwitch. The band will cap off the year with three straight one-man performances titled “Royal Straight Magical Show” in Osaka (December 17), Nagoya (December 18), and Tokyo (January 9).

“We’re already planning new things and fun surprises for our fans on this tour, even while we’re recording the songs for Royal Straight Magic,” miko said. “And we’ll continue to create moments together when we meet you at the live shows. Without a doubt, this will be a culmination of all our feelings from 2016. We’re going to make this a most special and magical time. We’ll wait for you to join us from overseas!”


All-female rock band exist†trace will broadcast a live concert from Japan on July 28, 2016 at 8:30pm (Japan time). Fans worldwide can view the band’s performance with multi-camera views from Tokyo’s Future SEVEN live house by using smartphone apps available at the iTunes store.

All-female Japanese rock band exist†trace has revealed the jacket image and track list for their upcoming mini-album THIS IS NOW, due for release on March 16.

The 6-song release contains two tracks, “Twin Wings” and “Shout Out”, which were previously available only at exist†trace live shows in Japan and through the band’s international fan club. The band has also updated their tour schedule to include “exist†trace present Attack to Nagoya – My Existence” on March 19 with guests BAND-MAID and sylph emew, and a one-man show “Attack to Nagoya – Extreme Stage” on March 20.

exist†trace will conclude their promotional tour for the new album with one-man shows titled “Blast Your Now” at Shibuya Eggman (Tokyo) on June 26 and Shinsaibashi Varon (Osaka) on July 9.

Japanese all-girl rock band exist†trace announced a new untitled mini-album to be released next March, which will contain six songs. Two tracks, “Twin Wings” and “Shout Out”, were released earlier this year as “one-coin” (500 yen) singles exclusive to the band’s live shows and their international fan club, Archangel Diamond.

exist†trace has spent the past year focusing on multiple live shows and promotion events since the 2014 release of their album, World Maker. The band recently hosted a three-part collaboration series “My Existence” featuring guest artists DISACODE, LAST MAY JAGUAR, DELHEZI, FEAR FROM THE HATE, Sel’m, and defspiral. They will complete their current tour with the one-man show “Reason for the existence – Final Act” on December 26 at Shibuya Tsutaya O-West.


Japanese girls rock band exist†trace has announced their guest lineup for this fall’s “My Existence” trio of 3-man live shows in Tokyo.

Each show is designed around a separate element that the exist†trace band members feel is integral to their identity as a band.

September 30 at Shinjuku Loft: “My Existence ーBeauty Elementー” exist†trace with DISACODE and LAST MAY JAGUAR.

October 24 at Shimokitazawa Shelter: “My Existence ーLoud Elementー” exist†trace with DELHEZI and FEAR FROM THE HATE.

November 19 at Shinjuku Loft: “My Existence ーV-Rock Elementー” exist†trace with Sel’m and defspiral.

exist†trace has also released a preview of their second “one-coin” single titled “Shout Out”, which will be available to fans who attend the band’s live shows starting July 19.

Japanese all-female visual kei band exist†trace announced the title and release date of their new album WORLD MAKER at their July 19 one-man live show last weekend. The news comes over two years after the release of the their first full album, VIRGIN, and it will be the first album to showcase the band’s new twin-vocal approach developed with recent singles DIAMOND and Spiral Daisakusen.

WORLD MAKER will be released September 24 in regular and special editions with 2 music videos, including the latest MV “Spiral Diasakusen”.

In the article entitled “The Ladies Are Ready to Rock,” the editors of the popular American anime magazine review the band’s latest release DIAMOND, calling the EP a “perfect introduction to an amazing band.”
