Since their inception in 1981, Loudness have led the Japanese heavy metal scene and embarked on global domination with "Thunder In The East" (1985/#74 U.S. national chart) and "Lightning Strikes" (1986/#64 U.S. national chart). They have been frantically acclaimed worldwide.

Now, "Rise To Glory", the first album in four years and first since 2014's "The Sun Will Rise Again", will be released on January 26, 2018 via earMUSIC everywhere in the world, except Japan.

The album is packed with aggression, melody and positive vibes. Vocalist Minoru Niihara says, "The album cheers you up, makes you feel fresh."

From the rock maelstrom of "Massive Tornado" to the young burning passion of "Soul on Fire," the life-glorifying "I'm Still Alive," and the declaration of metal warfare of "Rise to Glory," all served as support songs in an age of turmoil.

There's also "Rain," which has a melancholic mood, while "Until I See the Light" focuses on the melodic side of the band. "Let's All Rock" has a heated call-and-response with the audience to recreate their live performance.

The guitar wizardry of Akira Takasaki, hailed around the world as one of the true guitar gods, is featured throughout the album. He admits, "I played lots of guitars, more than any other albums this century. There was soul in the sounds." Along with the guitar solos on each song, there is amazing playing on the instrumental track, leaning towards the progressive side of the band.

With the album and the ensuing major scale world tour, Loudness will embark on the biggest global conquest since the 1980s. This indeed is the beginning of their "Rise To Glory".

The European and U.S. versions of the album are accompanied by "Samsara Flight", a collection of 13 of the band's early classics re-recorded; it was originally released in Japan in 2016.

"What if Jack the Ripper had played in a band? A heavy metal band?"

This is the question that formed and influenced WE SELL THE DEAD, this is the question that made the band.

Revolving around Niclas Engelin (In Flames, Engel), Drömriket's Jonas Slättung, Gas Lipstick (ex-HIM), and the voice of Apollo Papathanasio (Spiritual Beggars, Firewind), We Sell the Dead go beyond the strains of conventional storytelling and create a multi-media experience of premium quality heavy metal music embedded in visually stimulating and atmospheric visuals.

The band's debut album "Heaven Doesn't Want You and Hell Is Full" is due out February 23, 2018 via earMUSIC.

Heavy, yet melodic sounds transport the listener into a Victorian inspired world that is defined by pompous manors and daunting luxury standing in deep contrast to the harshness and cruelty of the gutter. It is a world that reeks of hysteria, but above all a sense of mysticism and dark romanticism. We Sell the Dead's music rises above this, not merely pointing out this injustice, but expanding the narrative into the extreme, playing with themes of ghosts, death or religion.

But not only...

Despite a reference to Victorian times, We Sell the Dead maintains a very modern and ever-so-current approach that translates to the world we live in today.

"From the late 1800, an era that has inspired our band enormously, comes one of the greatest and darkest crime mysteries of them all: Jack the Ripper," explains Jonas Slättung. "We don’t know 100 percent who he was but we know his horrendous deeds. All the visuals we had in our mind, combined with the sometimes slightly morbid lyrics, made us think that this is what music would have sounded like if heavy metal had existed in the 19th century, or if Jack the Ripper had travelled forward in time to join a metal band. We Sell the Dead would have been his natural choice for a backing band. He probably would have felt right at home with us."

But, at the same time, the world hasn't exactly evolved into a beautiful place since the 1880s.

In the 1979 movie, Time After Time, Jack the Ripper escapes justice by, indeed, fleeing in a time machine to 1979. After getting caught by his followers, The Ripper utters this line of wisdom: "Back in 1893, I was a monster. Today...I'm an amateur."

The first set of releases for May under this new deal are as follows:

May 12

Deep Purple, Long Beach 1971: The release is the latest in earMUSIC's Deep Purple live series of the past two years, boasting rare material. Recorded at the Long Beach Arena on July 30, 1971 and broadcast on KUSC, 91.5 FM, this is a "must own" for fans of Deep Purple, spanning over 70 minutes of music that was remastered in 2014. earMUSIC has reached Gold Status with Deep Purple latest release “NOW What?!” in Germany where it charted at No. 1, and achieved over 10 top 10 positions worldwide, four of which were No. 1.

Angra, Secret Garden: Brazilian metal icons Angra, who have been a unit for two decades, are releasing their first music in over four years in the form of Secret Garden. It's a concept album which asks a critical question: Can something that does not exist to the eyes, or is not perceived by the senses, be considered as non-existent?

SOTO, Inside the Vertigo: Soto casts vocalist Jeff Scott Soto, formerly of Journey, amidst talented young turks who know their way around their instruments. The album is cathartic, as it finds Soto releasing the buildup of tension and frustration he has dealt with over the past several years, making for a fascinating listen that rock fans will love and be unable to turn away from.

May 26

Thunder, Wonder Days: One of the most enduring British bands of the past two decades, Thunder roar again with their 10th studio album—their first in six years. Their sound is a timeless marriage of unforgettable melodies and sheer rock power and they have rightfully ascended into the rock pantheon. The album entered the UK Top 10, a first for the band in over 20 years.

ASH Kablammo!: A brand new studio album from the pop-punk sensations Ash, one of the most successful bands to emerge from Ireland in the last 20 years, is upon us. The album offers a great collection of instant classics for a band that has managed to stop time. It's a return home, as Ash had enjoyed great success in collaboration with the Edel network for their first three seminal albums.

June 9

Gamma Ray, Best Of: The German power metal institution offers a selection of their best, most representative songs on one album! It's a collection of true greatness preparing the way to a complete catalogue reissue with extra disc made of brand new exclusive material.
