The Android Meme Discusses New Music, Old Music and All In-Between!
It's been quite sometime since last speaking with rock, metal, electronic outfit band THE ANDROID MEME. Back when we last spoke we talked of an previous track and an album that was suppose to be split up into an EP release. Now that time has passed the band discusses what happened then up until now all below.
1. So it's been 8 years since we last spoke, what has happened with the band since then up until now?
So much has happened in the last 8 years and at the same time not at all enough. I mean that in the sense that we have gone through a rollercoaster ride of emotions such as frustration and sadness trying to finish a handful of songs but the universe seemed very much against.
After our ordeal with the disgraceful label Magna Carta Records, we attempted to make a comeback by recording new songs which included a cover of Peter Gabriel’s “Big Time”. This would have been the perfect track to anchor our relaunch post Magna Carta. However a new and more difficult challenge came about when our Producer/Engineer got caught up in his personal demons and became very hard to track down and work with for more than a week or two at a time before disappearing on us time and time again. This cycle continued for almost 4 years until his tragic passing in April 2018.
2. Back then you had released a new song called "So Vile" that was suppose to be included in an album split into 3 EP releases did any of that come forth?
The song was released very quietly but we were not happy with the mix so we never fully promoted it. Our reasoning at the time was we would finish and release “Big Time” and then go back to remix “So Vile” as well as finish a third song called “Window”.
Unfortunately, when our Producer/Engineer passed away suddenly, we were very sad and dejected and did not immediately make any attempts to have our session files taken to a new producer. The entire experience of that 4 year timespan plus the death had very much broken my will and spirit and we pretty much just dropped everything. I was engaged to be married at the time and working a lot with my day job and it felt like the dream was over and it was time to move on.
3. Aside from that content you do have an all new track out currently titled "Looking Glass", tell me about it?
“Looking Glass” is a culmination of a years worth of dabbling and writing/recording for fun during the on and off again lockdowns here on Canada. It eventually became evident that we had something special that needed to be properly released to the world that so badly needed a song like it. The song is an anthem for those who have spent the last 2 years questioning the authorities and response to the “pandemic”. We have always been a band that delved into controversial and conspiratorial subjects. Covid-19 and the entire coordinated world wide response was extremely fishy from the get go and despite the opinions and shaming of those who questioned how and why it happened we felt we needed to explore the subject which seemed like a prophecy come true for those who understood the message of our album Ordo Ab Chao. So much of what has happened was predicted by that album.
This song took the backdrop of the secret government Black Operation known as Project Looking Glass, which was basically a very secret quantum computing technology mixed with possible reversed-engineered Alien tech that could predict potential future events and outcomes depending on what variables were imputed. Long story short, they discovered that no matter what variables they used, a massive Great Awakening occurred and was inevitable. This being an awakening to how we have been controlled by the powers that be, and that we have the power to overthrow our oppressors and unite together to build a better world.
So we felt it was the perfect track to start our second attempt at a comeback, while expressing a sense of positivity and inspiration for those with the eyes to see and ears to hear, so to speak. Nothing can stop the awakening, and in this song we are rallying the masses while letting the Elites know their time may soon be up.
4. Will this track become an official video or be included on an upcoming EP or album, or will it remain a solo single?
“Looking Glass”, and all the songs we plan to release over the next year will come together to form an EP. We have released a lyric video for it and will eventually shoot a proper official music video.
5. Do you have any other new music in the works you want to discuss?
We have 3 songs on the go right now that will be released over the next 6 months as singles and then be added to the EP when they are all released. This EP will include bonus tracks. We will be FINALLY releasing “Big Time” this year as well. We are getting access to our session files and that cover song will be released very soon.
Our next release is called “I Love Berlin” . It will be released on June 24th with an epic music video that will be released in several parts like a web series. The song is based on the corrupt geopolitics of the Cold War in the late 80s in Berlin, Germany. Being the hotbed of espionage and ground zero for the Cold War battle of East vs, West, we wanted to capture that from the perspective of a very self aware spy in the middle of all the action.
6. What else does the band have in the works, any other projects?
Other than our EP and music video series, we plan on playing a few local shows over the summer with a possible show at an upcoming Lecture Series Event in Texas for November. I am not allowed to expand on that quite yet.
7. To those unfamiliar with the band can you disclose something unique that no one else knows?
We are secretly interdimensional beings sent to this world to help awaken and egnite the power within everyone to stand up for what is right and just. Or at least that's what we tell ourselves haha.
8. How has the band dealt with covid since its invasion back in 2019/2020?
Covid was the impetus to get us back together as it inspired a self imposed need to join the fight in the information/disinformation that was reaching a climax. The global covid response was rife with so much evidence of collusion and corruption by the establishment to bring about a massive economical hijacking of the middle class with an attempt for a “Great Reset” where we are told by the World Economic Forum that we will “Own nothing and be happy”. When you actually investigate you find its a rebranded form of Communism where we are all equally poor with a basic subsidized income by our governments but lose our rights to medical choice, as well the ability to build wealth or pursue our own lives as we see fit. We instead hope to help usher in the Great Awakening. :)
This whole massive conspiracy against the people will become mainstream news eventually and millions of people who have been mesmerized by the massive fear mongering and blatant lies of our media and Politicians will wake up and realize they were tricked into being terrified enough to allow for lockdowns and medical injection mandates that have all proven to be ineffective and actually far more risky and dangerous than the virus itself.
We predicted this attempt at total control by the elites in our album Ordo Ab Chao, and now we are predicting that all the lies will be revealed and enough people will come together to overthrow those who perpetuated this massive attempt at enslaving us for “our safety”.
9. Does the band have any plans to do a tour or play any shows in person or online streaming perhaps?
We plan on local shows as I mentioned earlier and we may attempt a Canadian Tour in the fall with an attempt at playing some US shows. This all depends on what happens here in Canada and the US over the next few months. Live streaming shows are definitely going to happen. Stay tuned!
10. What more can we expect to see from The Android Meme for 2022?
Great new songs, an Ep, several music videos and some touring. We are up for the challenge!
